Description
One of the largest charging tanks available in the marketplace, the Air Venturi Carbon Fiber Charging Tank weighs much less than a steel scuba tank. Better yet, the advantage of carbon fiber over steel allows for a higher pressure capability of 4,500 psi, meaning more charges for your favorite PCP airgun and more shooting time for you.
Fill your air rifles and pistols with the simple fittings and be on your way to more pest control, target shooting and even competition. With 4,500 psi and a whopping 98 cu. ft. capacity, enjoy the most refills of your 3,000 psi airguns. The tank features stainless steel fittings, a 24 in. microbore hose and a rubberized hand wheel for controlled filling. The integrated pressure gauge lets you know when you're reaching your full charge, and the bleed valve is conveniently located on the valve.
Even shooting teams will be delighted at the number of fills they get from the Air Venturi Carbon Fiber PCP Charging Station. Averaging more than 40 fills, this tank is a practical choice for many shooting venues. For example, approximately 42 charges are provided on a 3,000 psi gun with a 215cc cylinder from a beginning gun reservoir pressure of 1,500 psi. You can expect more than 20 full charges on empty 3,000 psi gun with a 215cc cylinder. (The total number of fills vary based on the maximum charging capacity and the reservoir size of the gun(s) being charged.)
This tank has a 5-year retest cycle and a 15-year life cycle.
This compressor features an in-line gauge that shows the pressure in the line as you are refilling the tank, which is helpful to prevent overfilling. This gauge does NOT show internal pressure! To check your internal pressure, plug the end of the hose with a test plug and open the valve with the bleeder fully closed.
Additionally, there may be a slight movement in gauge’s valve connection when not under pressure. This is no cause for concern and will not cause any leaks or malfunctions in use.
Before purchase, please contact your local air supplier to see if they can fill this tank or buy one of our compressors.
This carbon fiber tank has a 300 bar DIN valve. Your local dive shop will have the ability to fill your tank.
If you plan on filling your high-pressure carbon fiber tank at a paintball shop, you will need to fill through the hose on the charging station with the Air Venturi Double Male Quick-Disconnect Coupling AV-00046 [Air Venturi Double Male Quick-Disconnect...].
To fill at a firehouse, you will need to fill through the hose on the charging station with the Air Venturi Firehouse Adapter, Male SCBA Fitting With Male Quick-Disconnect For Adapting To Firehouse Fill Stations AV-00048M [Air Venturi Firehouse Adapter, Male...].
PLEASE NOTE: This is a carbon fiber tank. In many towns your local fire department has a compressor that can fill a high-pressure carbon fiber tank, as firefighters use similar tanks for breathing equipment during rescues.
The calculations below assume the 98 cu ft Wingman is filled to 4500 PSI. A "full fill" refers to the gun being refilled to the maximum operating pressure. It's important to understand that most rifles do not need to be filled to their max pressure to offer a good number of consistent, usable shots.

Great
Things I Would Have ChangedOffer some kind of base on it so you can stay in the tank up
What Others Should KnowTank prices are great
Holds enough air for the weekend
Things I Would Have ChangedIt's perfect
What Others Should KnowLighter then it looks
Having air on hand for longer shooting sessions .
Things I Would Have ChangedMaby a better regulator/longer hose . Or a longer quick connect for rifles that have recessed fill ports .
What Others Should KnowBe careful , compressed air can be very dangerous . Safety first . Fun will follow if safety is adhered to .
Great looking tank
Things I Would Have ChangedTank was certified July 2021.....this is August 2022.......lost one year of service out of the gate
What Others Should KnowLight weight, fills air gun easily and quickly.......just waiting on protective mesh to get back in stock.
Top quality great customer service for Air Venturi
Things I Would Have ChangedPrice
The light weight of the tank. Also the valves and overall quality seem really good.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe whip hose is not the best. Like many, I replaced it with a braided hose. Also think long and hard about the size. A standard scuba tank is 80 cu.ft. This is larger than that. Many paintball shops cannot even fill this thing to 4500 PSI.
What Others Should KnowIf you are new to air gunning like I was, the most important thing to know is that you only have two ways to fill this tank.
1) Take it to a pro dive shop or some higher end paintball shops to get filled. Maybe get in good with a local volunteer fire dept.
2) Spend an extra $1800-$3000 on a compressor that is rated with a high enough duty cycle and air piston volume to actually fill this thing.
When I first got this I had some great dream that I was going to fill this with a $700 compressor. How wrong I was. Those $400-$900 compressors only have a duty cycle of around 15 minutes. At their flow rate - it will literally take 18+ hours to fill this. Well beyond what they are capable of. About the smallest compressor that can actually fill this in any reasonable amount of time will be something like the $1700 Air Venturi. After that, you are actually looking at things like semi commercial grade compressors designed for filling scuba tanks or SCBA tanks for firefighters.
Tank size is great for extended shoot time. Makes for fewer trips to the compressor refilling the gun.
Things I Would Have ChangedAbout the only thing I would change is the hose. With tight fitting QD adapters the line tends to kink and the fitting. A steel braided line is a quick fix and really wouldn't add that much to the price.
What Others Should KnowThe valve when fully charged can be a bit hard to turn in closing at first, but seems to wear in after a good number of refills.
Having a tank has changed my PCP game, shooting is a lot more enjoyable
Things I Would Have ChangedI would add a base, it would make filling your rifle a lot more convenient if the tank could stand on end.
I enjoy everything about this air tank. It has been well thought out and engineered when built not just thrown together. strong precise.

A step up from my 100 cu in tank.
Things I Would Have ChangedNeeds a longer hose.
What Others Should KnowI received this tank empty and began filling it with my 4500 PSI Air Venturi Air Compressor. It took just about 2 hours to fill from empty. After each shooting session I top it off which takes about 30 minutes.
