Description
SIG Sauer breaks into the breakbarrel airgun market with the US made ASP20 Break Barrel Rifle, a suppressed single-shot, gas piston rifle ideal for backyard target shooting and taking down small game.
Available in .177 and .22 the ASP20 uses a gas piston powerplant that is specially calibrated to deliver its pellets downrange at optimal speeds for accuracy and energy. The added benefit of this powerplant is the ability to shoot in colder weather without sacrificing power as you would with a spring-piston. Each uses a Glidelite Cocking Mechanism to ensure that your cocking effort is a smooth and manageable 33 lbs. In the .177 caliber, the ASP20 slings pellets at 1021 fps, and at 841 in .22 to dump 20 to 23 FPE into your targets. This design is based on the notion that subsonic pellets will fire more accurately, a maxim that proves true time and time again among premium airguns. Built for quiet backyard shooting, those powerful shots are all moderated by an integrated suppressor.
Moving to the action, the ASP20 features an adjustable 2-stage Matchlite® Trigger, designed for smooth and consistent trigger pulls to aid in accurate shot placement. A proprietary drill-pinned Breech Wedge Lock System also aids in improved accuracy by perfectly lining up the action with the barrel. A long Weaver/Picatinny rail awaits your choice of optics, and all of these features are set into an ergonomic black stained beech stock with excellent checkering on the grip and forend.
All of these options culminate in a superior gas-piston breakbarrel air rifle that lives up to SIG’s legacy of crafting airguns with improved tech, quality build, and are a thrill to shoot.

Very high quality throughout. Sig Sauer seems to have solved all of the most common issues with the break barrel design, I have owned many different break barrels and what strengths each one had, came with a string of compromises, but not this one. This has a balance starting with being relatively quiet, easy to cock, good trigger, powerful, accurate, no barrel droop and moderate recoil. Best of all it is made right here in the USA! I cannot speak for longevity and only time will tell that. Mine is equipped with a 4-16 X 44 UTG full size scope on medium height UTG mounts with UTG eyeshade and a Gamo sling. It seems to prefer the H&N Barracuda .22 pellets.

After mounting the Whiskey3 ASP Sig scope it took more shots than I expected to zero in the scope. I will say that once I got it dialed in, it is very accurate. I’ve made multiple shots at 50 to 55 yards verified with my rangefinder on small pests. It has plenty of power to get the job done. It definitely has a louder report than what I was expecting it to have. It is by far the most accurate and powerful air rifle I’ve ever owned. The only other comment concerns breaking the barrel to cock the rifle after well over 200 shots, it is still very hard to initially break open the barrel. I was hoping that by now there would have been some break-in ware making it easier to cock.

I love this gun! Dime target at 100ft. It is a heavier magnum like rifle and single shot. I target shoot with it in my back yard. Quiet, a little kick and very accurate. I opted for the wood stock. I really enjoy this rifle!
Incredibly accurate out to 65yds provided your scope is new. I go through 2 scopes for every tin of pellets.
Things I Would Have ChangedIt should come with sights, because it destroys scopes in less than 1/2 tin of pellets.
What Others Should KnowMine is a paper weight. Scopes fail in about 100-200 pellets. Airmax, Whiskey3, UTG it doesnt matter. Tried 3 different mounts same result. Buy 10 scopes with the lifetime warranty and rotate them out as they lose zero. This the only way to keep this rifle in use.

The Sig ASP20 is an elite air gun. I understand why others have rated this gun so good because it is extraordinary.

Mainly into pcp rifles, but have a lot of German springers. The sig asp 20 is a great rifle due to a few key factors, good barrel, good power plant (gas ram), keystone lock is a true innovation. The downsides? The lawyer trigger. It is a good trigger, but needs to be lighter. By a pound. The finish is good, but qc and finish should be better. The weight and cut of the wood stock should be more refined, lighter, sculptured, checkered. I do recommend this rifle as a hunting rifle. I paid good money for it and I feel it was a good purchase.

Accurate, easy to cock and powerful, I’d love to see a version of the ASP20 in high grade. Please make one with a walnut stock, highly polished blueing and a gold trigger.

This rifle present for my birthday , I am happy, She is real rifle, 50 yard -2" group of five. She is powerful, on 50 yard for 1/4" rubber is like hole puncher.

Just now getting this ASP20 in .22 cal broken in with 600 or 700 rounds through it; and I’m shooting better than many of my more classic spring piston rifles (Feiwerkbau, Diana, Beeman). Love the quality so far.

I utterly love my .177 ASP20! For anything below 30 meters I’d just use my Weihrauch HW30s but when things get serious or must shoot beyond 30 meters I prefer my Sig ASP20. Any 10 grain pellet I shoot in .177 will go about 920-950fps (at sea level). That is the speed I like for pests as this is the speed a hollow point will actually do what it’s supposed to do on impact. In fact this .177 ASP20 shooting 10.03 grain hollow point JSB Knock Out slugs @930fps muzzle velocity create a bigger hole then a .22 does at 750fps. Speed and expansion do the trick. Accuracy wise the ASP20 (mine in .177) is on par with any other premium springer air rifle such as Weihrauch/Walther/Diana. But my ASP20 shoots a bit faster and the cocking is (a lot) lighter. Great rifle! I hope it will last a long time and hopefully pass this “niche” rifle on for the next generation. My most accurate pellet: JSB Exact Heavy @ 10.43gr. My best long range/hunting pellet: JSB Knock Out slug @ 10.03gr
