The single pin dot is super bright and sharp, makes alignment a breeze. Sighting/zeroing with windage and elevation knobs is a huge step-up over the allen keys and slots of the past. Per the usual arrangement with bear/trophy ridge products, make sure all bolts are secure before shooting. I launched two arrows through my wooden fence before i noticed the whole sight assembly turning sideways and about to fall off. Other than that, it shoots great and I'm glad i upgraded!
I bought the site, like the "A" posts,though I have no trouble seeing the targets with a traditional single pin site. The react soon had me shooting te right distances, another plus, also if I change my setup, it will be easy to readjust the site. Big plus. But, as I went out to ranges beyond 20m., my arrows went more and more off the centre line????? Unable to find out why, so in order to fix this I use 2 washes under one bolt to counter the slide lean. I have watched reviews on 3 plane adjustable sites, and one plane is to make sure the vertical slide is actually vertical. Why doesn't the 'Alpha' ave this?
I have this sight on my target setup and love it. (For hunting I prefer the React Trio.) Being able to see horizontally and vertically around the target area is great. The fact that I can set my 20, back up to 60 and the sight is set and ready to go is fantastic. Mean I can spend less time sighting it in and more time practicing. Over all a great sight that I feel would be good for the woods or the range.
I will admit this sight isn't for everyone, but for many it's a useful upgrade to a hunting sight. The "A" frame type pin design does help in picking up deer movement in low light conditions. At first I struggled with pin placement b/c of my own mental block in the different pin design (Shoot, i've been shooting the same pin design for 30 years), but after a while I got the hang of it and found it useful. Sight is rock solid against the frame of the bow and the React Technology is totally awesome for getting sighted in at distance.
I have used the React Alpha for 2 seasons. The tract technology makes it simple to sight in. The best part is no pin post in the way! You can see clearly what you’re aiming at, deer, bear, turkey whatever. If you’re looking for a single pin sight! You have to try the Alpha!

Totally amazed on the accuracy and target clarity this sight provides, i was dialed in out to 60 with in 10 minutes. Very easy set up and allows tou to remove the sight housing if you need more elevation while setting up. Highly recommend this for hunting and field archery
