Description
The Umarex Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 Pellet Pistol improves upon the previous versions of this airgun by upgrading to shooting pellets through a rifled barrel instead of using BBs. It is capable of maximum velocities up to 350 FPS and makes an ideal training tool for those who own the firearm version, as well as a fun plinking airgun.
This air pistol version features a look and feel that is almost indistinguishable from the handgun model, with a similar size and weight. It uses a 12-gram CO2 cartridge in the full-size 20-round belt-fed metal drop free magazine to power .177 caliber pellets through its rifled barrel that adds accuracy to every shot.
To further enhance this model's authenticity, it uses a full-metal slide and polymer frame, and it features blowback action to give shooters the feel of recoil, which can be especially helpful for those using it to maintain familiarity with the firearm version. The ergonomic grip uses texturing on all sides to provide a firm hold, in addition to featuring the familiar Glock logo.
To provide for increased accuracy when shooting, this airgun includes a fixed front post sight and a fixed rear notch sight, and a Weaver accessory rail under the muzzle allows for the attachment of items such as lights and lasers.
For an air pistol with genuine characteristics that provides shooters with an excellent way to practice for the original handgun without having to buy firearms ammo or find time to visit a shooting range, get the Umarex Glock 17 Gen5 CO2 Pellet Pistol today at Pyramyd AIR.

Feel and look as the real one.
Things I Would Have ChangedA little more space in front of the trigger.
What Others Should KnowExcellent dettails.
It has a very authentic feel and grip, and is a true 1-1 that you would expect from a recreation of the original. It's very satisfying to shoot and hold, and the materials feel really good.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe trigger pull weight is rather excessive, requiring more force to squeeze the trigger than to hold the thing itself. The mag, while nice, could be better as well, as it is quite cumbersome to load, and requires keeping track of a specific hex wrench, that can be replaced by a generic one, but the mag could have Incorporated a small twist handle as found on the SA10.
Exactly like original. Weight and controls as on firearm. Terrific product!
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowGreat bang for bucks
The weight and feel of the gun. Also, the overall look of the gun.
Things I Would Have ChangedI could not get the gun to work. I then purchased a second magazine. The gun still will not work. I contacted unmarx several times. Although they gave me some tips none of them work. They would not take it back for replacement or repair.
What Others Should KnowOwn a number of their SAA pellet guns that work perfectly. I have heard from some other users that it is an acurrate gun when it works.
everything is very good, it is actually a good product
Things I Would Have Changednothing to change
What Others Should KnowIt is a recommended product
Excellent practice opportunity for GSSF matches.
Things I Would Have ChangedOf course, the trigger pull is very difficult and although it improves with oil and age just as soon as it seems like it's pretty good it breaks. Mine stopped advancing the belt for the next pellet so I have to send it in for repair.
What Others Should KnowVery realistic practice tool.
Very realistic but not like the BB gun. This one is more like the SA10. Partial blowback and not field strippable. The main thing is you MUST use very short pellets. I tried to use the super domes and they did not work. Then I tried crossman wad cutters and it was night and day difference. The cycling and trigger force were so much better with the shorter wad cutters. The gun seems pretty accurate and I get about 42 pellets (2 magazines of pellets) to a CO2 cartridge.
Things I Would Have ChangedA magazine capable of longer pellets. You literally can't use a standard domed pellet. It's too long only wad cutters are short enough.
What Others Should KnowQuality is top notch.
Very realistic, it's like shooting a Gen 5 GLOCK. It shoots POA/POI at 50 ft. and under. In that regard, it's got my SIG P320 ASP beat 6 ways to Sunday. I read the reviews and put a few drops of Pellgun Oil in strategic locations on the magazine belt; its smoothing up nicely. I'm impressed with the quality of construction. Pro tip: spend the $45 for a spare magazine assembly.
Things I Would Have ChangedMagazine belt is clumsy to load. It is worth looking in to a design revision. I understand trying to be realistic; but it is hard to load. CO2 consumption is kinda high; the SIG P320 ASP gives me 60 shots + per 12 gm. cartridge, my Crosman Vigilante 70. 45 -50 shots ain't much. The trigger was rated as rough, that's an accurate statement. I only have approximately 200 shots on mine now; admittedly, it is becoming smoother with use.
What Others Should KnowIf you own a GLOCK cartridge pistol, for the price of a good laser trainer, this is far more practical. I can tell the difference between the Umarex and the . Glock GMBH pieces; 95% of the Public could not.
If you are thinking of purchasing a new GLOCK, buying this 1st can save you a lot of resources as the essential handling is the same as a Gen 5 GLOCK GMBH piece. You will either love it or hate it.
I like the design and feel of the gun even though it is a little hard to put it from safety to firing position.
Things I Would Have ChangedSometime I have to release the clip to move it to another pellet.
What Others Should KnowAs I said sometime I have to release the clip and move it to another pellet before I con get it to fire. Then it will fire a fee rounds before I have to do it again. Other than that it is fine.

Reasonably accurate for what it is, decent amount of blowback, good weight and feel.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe trigger and belt system are very bad. I heard they break, mine seems fine so far but there is so much friction in rotating the belt with the trigger that it ruins the entire trigger pull. I tried lubrication with silicon oil but it didn't help much. I might try something with better boundary lubrication like PTFE and see if it makes a difference. As of now (about 400 rounds in) it is a training tool that is like wearing concrete shoes in a basketball game. It will make you better when you use something else LOL
What Others Should KnowI do not regret buying this. Though I think Pyramyd's price could be a little better on this unit.
