Description
The Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56 FFP Riflescope with EBR-7D MRAD reticle is optimized to provide a crisp sight picture and an ideal field of view across its magnification range for long distance shooting. This scope uses a 56mm objective lens and innovative features to offer sharp views and surprising color fidelity even in low light or poor weather.
The turrets on this scope are exposed locking turrets which help avoid inadvertent adjustments, they have tactile and audible clicks to simplify adjustments, and they also feature the L-Tec Zero System with a micro-adjust zero setting for an easy way to return to zero. In addition, the elevation turret offers an external rotation indicator that extends further from the turret body on each rotation, helping with both a visual and a tactile indication of the turret's position.
The Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56 uses a windage turret with an adjustment range of 15.5 MRAD and an elevation turret with an adjustment range of 36.1 MRAD, both with 1/10 MRAD increments and 10 MRAD per revolution. The scope is shockproof, uses argon gas purging and O-ring sealing to provide outstanding fogproofing, and has an IPX7 rating for waterproof performance.
The optical system in this riflescope features HD lens elements for vibrant colors and excellent clarity, and optically-indexed lenses that result in a sharp image from edge to edge. The ArmorTek coating helps resist scratches, oil, and dirt, XR Plus fully-multicoated lenses increase light transmission and decrease unwanted reflections, and Plasma Tech ensure performance and longevity of the lens coatings.
The EBR-7D is a laser-etched MRAD FFP (first focal plane) illuminated reticle engineered to deliver precision shots at long distance for hunting and shooting. It has a fine center dot for accuracy and fine crosshairs for improved aiming, as well as ranging features on the top portion, and holdover and windage dots on the bottom portion. Red illumination can be activated for most of the center part in 10 different levels on the locking dial, with off positions between the levels.

5 of 5 Vortex Razor HD Gen III Reviews

This is one of the best value buys in the industry. Industrial machinery feeling chonk turrets, huge eyebox, low chromatic aberration, just a monster of capability.

The quality exceeded all expectations. Zerostop is 3 generations ahead of its competitors.

Completely impressed by this scope. Was teaching long range class and had new barrel on a MK13 300WM with very good hot handloads zeroed a week prior at 100 yards, same conditions and elevation. Wind and visibility conditions were excellent so I decided to try cold bore shot at one mile Used the ballistic application for firing solution under my known velocity and bullet Dialed the results and fired. Hit cold bore shot at one mile. This was witnessed by a dozen plus people on the range. I witnessed it also through the Razor To say the scope tracked perfectly is correct. To say the ballistic app works well is also correct It’s rare conditions are perfect for this type of shot is an understatement Great product

I have five Strike Eagles and Two Razor HD Gen 2's. All are excellent scopes for their intended purposes. I was looking to get another Gen2, but found a Gen3 for just a little more. Was the best decision I've made! This is the best scope I've ever had and is making me a better long range shooter. Vortex customer service is the best! I've not had a problem with any of their products, but I've lost or worn out some accessories and they've sent me replacements. ALL my riflescopes and spotting scopes are now Vortex. I'm saving up for their tripod as my next purchase.

I have the privilege of being able to drive to the Vortex showroom being in Wisconsin. The guys down there were an absolute joy to work with and super helpful over the phone on the days leading up to my voyage to Mecca. They are understanding and patient with people that don't have ALL the lingo down to a tee and will walk step by step through what you are looking for and need. The showroom is very nice and have, what I believe, every product on display and available to look through. They have large windows facing a huge field with some landmarks (trees, poles, etc) to sight in on and who I was talking to had some range estimation to landmarks for optical comparison to distance understanding. I brought my Ruger Precision 308 in a case which they promptly took in the back to put my Razor on (free of charge by the way). They came out with the previous scope and told me some of the issues I was having with it due to the original mounting done by a different company. The long and short is, if you have the ability to make it to Vortex, walk in the door, look around, ask all the questions you can and the answers will be provided. On the range: Took about 5 rounds to get on target at 100 yds, the fault was mine for using such a small target. Once on target, adjustments to the bull was effortless and the next three rounds fit under a quarter. Make sure you bring the small allen wrench for adjustments because the the turrets lock in place to avoid accidental changes. I have not used the illumination feature yet, but I'm a pretty fair weather range shooter. When the weather gets better, I'll be out to the long range to reach out. I have no doubt that will be just as enjoyable as sighting in. The only complaint I have is the scope is Very large. The hard case I have compresses the foam more than I'd like so I'll have to get a new case. I blame you Vortex when my wife yells at me. Overall, if you have any thoughts on making this purchase, don't think about it too much, just make it happen, you'll thank me later.
