Things I liked: I loved the features. The trajectory reticle makes sense to me for an airgun and the side focus was very convenient. The sale price from Pyramid was attractive also.
Things I would have changed: The scope went back because it just wasnt clear. No matter what I did, I couldnt make it sharp enough for my needs. Maybe if I had the patience to let Pyramid exchange it the second or third one would be different, but I added a little more money and got exactly what I wanted.
What others should know: I love the UTG rings. Good quality, easy off and on, great price. Thanks Pyramid.
Things I liked: I used to be a scope snob. Mainly Leupold and Zeiss. I still have nice glass, but have a wider variety now $1500 to $100. (Vortex Golden Eagle on my RPR to Bushnell on my 10/22s). I bought this Aeon more out of curiousity and becuase it was on the lighter side of the scopes in this price range and magnification. I have this scope on my FX Bobcat 30 cal. And had it on an AR15 in 6.8spc or a short period while testing ammo before swapping back to the ATN 4K. It held up as expected on both. The scope feels solid, clicks are solid enough, not as crisp as my Vortex's, but better than my Aztec. Its fairly compact and has a great reticle, very fine, with plenty marks to dial or hold over. Optics are clear and bright and the eye pocket is large enough its easy to shoulder quickly. Is there better, yes, in this price range, maybe? Zero, so Ive had it mounted on my AR and Bobcat. I always use a torque driver to mount my scopes and rings. The scope holds zero on both without problems. Im a dialer, so after I zero a scope, I always spin the turrets a full turn or two in both directions (up/down and L/R) then back to zero to see if it holds. It does. I didnt notice any shift while changing from different magnification settings. I read a few reviews and there may be a QC issue, or overly high expectations. I can't speak to that, but the one I have is very good for the price. Can you buy a Vortex for this price, yes, but not with exposed turrets, or target reticle, or min focus to 10 yards and 24x. You would have to sacrifice 2 of these options or spend twice as much.
Things I would have changed: Make it lighter
Things I liked: the reticle, that's about it.
Things I would have changed: Field of view, quality. for $300 i would think you could get something better. you can get a vortex for the same money. a much improvement. The AO does not work well or not at all, this scope was recommended for a springer, i would not! will not stay in on target always having to re-just. this is a strait up china special, not worth the money.
What others should know: Do not buy this scope you will be very disappointed, i would like to thank Pyramid Air for taking this back, i just wish they carried Vortex scopes i would have purchased one from them.

Why is this scope "SOLD AS IS"? Is there a warranty issue with Aeon?
These are being discontinued from my understanding.
Can the turret be locked after you zero scope
Yes they can. You have possitive lock for windage and elevation...Loosen with an Allen key then lift up, turn to zero, push down to lock then retighten...Hope that helps! Cheers, Mark
No, they are not locking turrets
