Things I liked: The power and accuracy are great
Things I would have changed: Include the metal breech kit and i purchased one for this carbine and what a fantastic upgrade,
What others should know: Its beautiful and made in the usa
Things I liked: Nice kit, great gun. Super accurate, easy to breakdown. Shots a lot of different pellets accurately. Own of my favorites to shoot.
Things I would have changed: Use the fat forearm used on the older 2289s.
What others should know: Easily upgraded and customized to make it your own.
Things I liked: Nice little kit with a very good price point, great for teaching young people the basics and fundamentals.
Things I would have changed: Get rid of the cheap multi tool, firer starter. Canteen is fine I have had several of these over the years, backpack good for younger people other wise a good starter kit.
What others should know: Use the shoulder stock for the best accuracy, try various pellets to find the ones that work the best for you. It will definitely build up your muscles pumping it up to ten pumps, but on the other hand you do not have to worry about fluctuated velocity as you do with co2.

OK, I went to the Crosman site for this info.(https://www.crosman.com/doomsday-bugout-air-rifle-kit). "Lead Pellet Velocity Up to 550 fps., FPE 7.62". Calculates a pellet weight of 11.3gr. The 650 FPS is bogus. So what actual velocity does it really have with a 14.4gr pellet?
The Dennis Adler article has this gun with what appears to be laser etched backpacker branding, the PA product image shows stamped American Classic branding... what is on the shipped product?
Mine is laser etched and it is from the 2.0 kit.
You list this as 650fps but the same pistol (1322) w/o the "kit" is 460 fps?
To be fair to Douglas, the most recent PA mailer Ive received includes this bug out kit and lists the max velocity at 460 fps.
Not the same gun. This has a longer barrel...which will give a higher velocity.
