Crosman Doomsday Bug Out Air Rifle Kit 2.0
SOS Kit Includes: two multi-tools, a whistle, emergency saw, compass, and fire starter tool.
*To keep your gun functioning perfectly for years, always put 1-2 pumps in your multi-pump Backpacker carbine when you're done shooting. This helps seal the gun and prevents dirt and debris from deteriorating the seals.
**Stock is easily removed to carry in your backpack, but kit does not include grips to use this as a pistol.
The Crosman Backpacker carbine is actually a pistol with a skeleton shoulder stock. Pump it up to 10 times to get the most bang for your buck! The Backpacker is compact, convenient and quite accurate. What a great time to bring back this gun (it's been gone from airgunning for several years) along with a bugout bag. There's enough room in this bug out bag to add some food (such as beef jerky) and other essentials you'll need when the time comes to grab your stuff and go.
|Max Velocity||650 fps|
|Cocking Effort||3-10 pumps|
|Front Sight||Blade & Ramp|
|Rear Sight||Adjustable for windage & elevation|

Things I liked: Everything was very satisfactory
Things I would have changed: Add knockouts and the screw for the handle or plugs
What others should know: Cool gun otherwise
Things I liked: Inexpensive, compact, high powered enough for small game at short range and very accurate for what it is.
Things I would have changed: I wish the rear sight was click adjustable and that the peep sight had a removable aperture, also the stock hole is too small for low light and sighting the gun in is a bit of a pain in the caboose. That said the gun is shockingly accurate despite the primative sights.
What others should know: I really wish you could buy this gun as a combo with the steel breech and a williams FP reciever sight since scoping a gun this compact ruins it's purpose as a compact hunting rig and a backpack plinker.
Things I liked: This is a great little gun , great deal package for the price you cant go wrong. Very accurate and also nice power for it size. The best thing is that you can customize this to your taste and needs.
Things I would have changed: The back pack and other extras that comes with the package are not the best quality but come on for the price just the gun is worth the money , I am pretty happy and been .22 cal is a plus.
What others should know: The stock does not have the screws just click into the gun. I took my time and drilled and added the screws to make I stronger connection, other than that is a very cool little gun and very accurate . I will recommend this to everyone .

What have people found to be the best lead free pellets in this gun for hunting?
If I recall, the original Backpacker had a quick disconnect on the shoulder stock - obviously for compactness and rapid bug out mode! I don't see this from the pictures. Is it on this version?
Sadly, this one does not have it.
OK, I went to the Crosman site for this info.(https://www.crosman.com/doomsday-bugout-air-rifle-kit). "Lead Pellet Velocity Up to 550 fps., FPE 7.62". Calculates a pellet weight of 11.3gr. The 650 FPS is bogus. So what actual velocity does it really have with a 14.4gr pellet?
