Crosman Doomsday Bug Out Air Rifle Kit 2.0
SOS Kit Includes: two multi-tools, a whistle, emergency saw, compass, and fire starter tool.
*To keep your gun functioning perfectly for years, always put 1-2 pumps in your multi-pump Backpacker carbine when you're done shooting. This helps seal the gun and prevents dirt and debris from deteriorating the seals.
**Stock is easily removed to carry in your backpack, but kit does not include grips to use this as a pistol.
The Crosman Backpacker carbine is actually a pistol with a skeleton shoulder stock. Pump it up to 10 times to get the most bang for your buck! The Backpacker is compact, convenient and quite accurate. What a great time to bring back this gun (it's been gone from airgunning for several years) along with a bugout bag. There's enough room in this bug out bag to add some food (such as beef jerky) and other essentials you'll need when the time comes to grab your stuff and go.
|Max Velocity||650 fps|
|Cocking Effort||3-10 pumps|
|Front Sight||Blade & Ramp|
|Rear Sight||Adjustable for windage & elevation|

Things I liked: The pellet gun seems to be good. I like the longer barrel for more power and accuracy !!!
Things I would have changed: The pump arm handle it's to small for some one with big hands like me!!! The stock needs to be adjustable the whole assembly is to short for some one with long arms like me !!!!!! I would have put grips in the kit to use it like a pistol !!!! And the better breach kit to mount a scope !! A better backpack to put it in !! AS to the cheap china junk throw it away , i would not put some thing to drink in the canteen before having it tested for contaminants!!!!!!
What others should know: This is not much for survival doomsday bug out kit !!!!! To be able to get food to stay alive , more like a 12 year old kit to play with!!!
Things I liked: Cool kit, bought it for a friend.
Things I would have changed: Nicely done removable stock, needs a more comfortable pistol grip though, for when stock is removed.
Things I liked: the whole thing, neat!
Things I would have changed: nada
What others should know: neat gift for young & old

What have people found to be the best lead free pellets in this gun for hunting?
If I recall, the original Backpacker had a quick disconnect on the shoulder stock - obviously for compactness and rapid bug out mode! I don't see this from the pictures. Is it on this version?
Sadly, this one does not have it.
OK, I went to the Crosman site for this info.(https://www.crosman.com/doomsday-bugout-air-rifle-kit). "Lead Pellet Velocity Up to 550 fps., FPE 7.62". Calculates a pellet weight of 11.3gr. The 650 FPS is bogus. So what actual velocity does it really have with a 14.4gr pellet?
