Duke Colt CO2 Pellet Revolver, Weathered, Limited Edition
This gun is yet another American treasure created to honor the traditions of the Old West and to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the classic John Wayne picture, The Shootist. These Limited Edition Peacemakers are individually numbered 001-600 - add this one of a kind item to your collection today!
Silver screen gunslinger John Wayne is one of the most iconic figures in American culture and the Duke Colt Single Action Army (SAA) revolver he carried remains among the most popular reproductions. As J.B. Brooks in his final film role, the Oscar-winner carried his trusted Peacemaker. Together, the Duke and his six-gun captured imaginations and personified the Old West.
In recognition of the timeless appeal of the Colt SAA and an admiration for John Wayne as symbols of American gun culture, this limited edition Duke Colt Single Action CO2 Pellet Revolver is a faithful replica of the classic six-shooter.
The CO2 revolver shoots .177 caliber pellets, features authentic action, a full metal frame, and handsome, composite ivory grip panels that include an inlaid medallion detail of the Duke himself. John Wayne's signature is on the back strap of this collector's gun. The single action revolver is powered by CO2, and the 6-round cylinder has a working ejector rod for added realism and convenience.

Things I liked: These SAA guns are some of the best replica guns you can buy. I have been ordering at least 1 of each that PA is offering. Shooting them is fun too! You get around 100 shots per 12g CO2 cartridge. I am a collector and just can't get enough of these. They are almost perfect! And I went ahead and bought the display box to keep it in. I thought the wood box was a bit expensive, but upon receiving it... I think it is well worth it. They are made in the USA and are very high quality. Best display box I have ever bought!
Things I would have changed: The hammer doesn't rest against the slot for it... and I wish it did. And... it sure would have been nice if they put some nicer grips on it. But for the money... it is still AWESOME!
What others should know: I recommend you buy all the extras for this gun. PA has an awesome holster and belt to go with it. Also... buy more shells. You will need them. The small belt will hold 26 I think, and the larger belts hold more. They really make the whole set up look like the real thing.
Things I liked: I like it better now that I redid the grips.
Things I would have changed: Grips. I tried John Wayne's tea staining technique; it didn't work. Mixed up paint and worked from a photo of the Duke's gun. I applied 3 coats, let dry overnight, then clear coated with another 3 coats. Came out great! Proper color grips would have justified the higher price of the pistol. Otherwise it isn't any different than the standard weathered model.
Things I liked: Everything, pleasure to shoot.
Things I would have changed: Nothing
What others should know: My Wife enjoys shooting this pistol, not heavy , make sure to pick up extra cartridges.

If I buy just the gun and no wooden case... will it come in a nice cardboard box?
Can you shoot both bb's and pellets with this gun with different cartridge adapters? Or do you need different style gun?
If you wanna shoot the rifling clean out of the barrel.
Description states that this the pellet version .
Anyone else receive this beauty in a standard "ORDINARY" cardboard box? Should be in a commemorative wood presentation box! Waiting for the resolve from customer service.
If you had chosen the right package option you should have gotten the display case. If you payed $179.99 you messed up, you just payed for the gun. Pay closer attention next time.
