Featuring a 62cc cylinder that’s simple to fill with a handpump, you can sling lead downrange at speeds up to 750 fps (650 in .22).  To take advantage of this pistol’s repeating shots, Hatsan included 3 magazines (10 in .25, 12 in .22 and .14 in .177).

With the Sortie, you can keep your shots on target with the detachable fiber-optic sights, or use the combo Dovetail/Picatinny optics rail—a rail that deserves a red-dot for fast sighting and shooting. The ergonomic synthetic grip gives the Sortie full-weather capability, and ready to toss into the back of a hiking bag when not stored in your included hard case.

If you’ve longed for a PCP airgun that can shoot shot after shot, grab a Sortie and become the fastest air pistoleer on the range.

Things I liked: It is "beefy" and accurate for as long as it works.

Things I would have changed: There is no trigger adjustment. It loses its reliability in cycling shots from the magazine.

What others should know: Heed the warnings from other reviews. It may work as advertised for a relatively short time. There is a reason that you can find so many refurbished Sorties available through Hatsan's refurbished site.

Things I liked: I bought the .22 cal version - this pistol is powerful and easily perforates 1/2 inch plywood (and then some). Accuracy is very good, as fast as you can pull the trigger the pistol delivers. I would buy this pistol again and because of this pistol i have also purchased other Hatsan products.

Things I would have changed: Nothing to change.

  • Alan from USA asked:

What .177 pellet works best with the Sortie?

    • Alan from USA asked:

Hey, I got this about a year ago, and it works fine. It hits hard and cycles well. Is there a scope for this? Or is anyone using a scope?

      • Mark from USA:

We would suggest either a pistol scope. With long eye relief or the UTG Bugbuster. The UTG scope has only 3" eye relief. The gun would have to be held close to the firer's face.

    • derek from USA asked:

I just received my .25 sortie tact and there is a possible screw or something else that rattles inside the grip chassis. how do I remove the grip chassis , particularly the safety slide so I can get in and solve this? Doing this myself is my choice.

      • derek from USA:

it's something that free floats when the piece is not cocked, not sure what yet. The safety doesn't need removal' just un-cock it and push safety to off then loosen 2screws either side and 1 screw underneath behind grip. this info came via P.A. tech department, She actually performed the procedure on the phone on a returned piece, AWESOME, it was easy - PZ pa tech
