Description
A full-metal replica of one of the most iconic American handguns, this Swiss Arms SA 1911 gives fans of historic pistols exactly what they're looking for. With realistic heft, load up a 12-gram CO2 cartridge to send 18 BBs downrange at speeds up to 320 fps! Take hold of the checkered polymer grip to steady your aim as you look down the fixed sights. Add a flashlight or laser to the Picatinny accessory rail to practice your tactical shooting. The best feature? Realistic blowback that locks the slide back when you're out of ammo. Pick up another magazine to stay in the action.

10 of 30 Swiss Arms SA 1911 TRS Reviews
I really enjoy the look, Its a nice pistol. Good weight and looks and feels good. Shoots very accurate from a decent rang.
What Others Should KnowIf you like 1911s get this gun.
Look and feel.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it so a CO-2 cartridge last more than one afternoon. It is disappointing that I need to use cartridges so often.
These are a blast. My wife and I both shoot real 1911's, and this bb gun makes for great alternative practice in this age of $1/round ammo. Because all the functions are identical to a real 1911 (thumb safety, grip safety, slide lock and full slide travel) it's really good to keep current with your safe gun handling skills year round. Snow on the ground? 100F at the range? Break out the bb guns!
Things I Would Have ChangedI have a real problem with the realism of this style bb gun. My opinion is if you want a real looking firearm, then buy a real firearm and have fun with it. I think these bb guns should be marketed as training tools, and come in your choice of colors: Day-glow Orange, Day-glow Orange, or Day-glow Orange. Unrelated to the bb gun, I sure wish Pyramyd Air would give us a UPS option for shipping. FedEx ground, true to form, lost this shipment for about a week before finally getting it to us.
What Others Should KnowIf you're expecting a realistic 3-5lb 1911 trigger, you're going to be a little disappointed. The trigger on this bb gun functions mechanically similarly, but it has a very, very long travel and it's pretty heavy. Totally functional though, and still great for training.
I like 1911s and the Swiss Arms TRS is one of my favorites. It has a nice blowback, mine shoots straight, combat shooting 1.5-inch group at 5 yards. Although it has good white dot sights I installed an UTG LS200 laser. The trigger is good and the gun is field strippable. I also like it does not have those horrible white warnings written all over.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe safe is a pain... It goes easily on SAFE in the middle of a shooting because of the large "wing" which doesn't have a good lock and your thumb only needs to touch it a little. It would be better to have the original safe.
What Others Should KnowAs most of the 1911, it gives 60 rounds per CO2 not shooting too fast. I put a Helix Thread Protector, 14mm x 14mm CCW - Standard Length. My last TRS broke with 3400 rounds fired.
I rated it 5 for accuracy because it has to be one of the most accurate of this type.. For example my BP9cc is slightly more accurate, but has far less of a blowback feel. This gun generally hits where Im aiming, a little up and to the left, but only a little. Its really pretty, solid and heavy. Gotta love putting that second mag in and letting the slide go.
Things I Would Have ChangedIt sounds like something is rattling inside of it.. no big deal though.
What Others Should KnowI suggest getting an extra mag so you can do mag changes
I have waited a life time to own a BB pistol with the features of this Swiss arms 1911 blow back C02 gun. Most accurate smooth barreled gun I have seen. 3/4" groups at 15 feet. This gun's blow back system helps the shooter manage recoil and recover for follow up shots. Very realistic to the 45 ACP 1911 type guns. Every function is as I had hoped for to simulate the real gun. Indoor practice is convenient, cheep, and beneficial to those desiring to stay familiar with their real firearm, when conditions don't allow using the real gun. 4 lb trigger pull adds to its value and accuracy. So pleased with the quality of this all metal gun, I bought 10 more for friends, relatives and an extra one for me. Beautiful silver finish . Love it.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe rear sight loosens, due to the battering of the slide during recoil. A set screw, installed in the sight, could prevent the sight from working loose. The magazine follower can lock back at the point where BB.s are to be inserted. While it is retracted, feed one BB at a time, into the face of the top end of the magazine, and press the bb into the opening, using the edge of a credit card between the polymer guides. a sudden snap will be heard as the bb enters the magazine. After all BB.s are inserted, release the follower by pressing on it till it clears it's "locked" position, and presses on the BB.s, while under spring tension. No loss of finger nails with this method. so easy.
What Others Should KnowI plan to have a life time of fun with this gun. I will keep several on hand, in case I wear out the one I am shooting. I have tried and retired 35 different pistols.
This will remain at the top of my list of favorite air guns. A must for Law enforcement practice, every day, in the privacy of your own home. Great for beginners, to prepare them for safely handling real fire arms.

Pyramyd Air shipped this fast. Upon first glance as you open the box this looks pretty realistic. I had to do a press check to make sure this was a CO2 pistol, that is how right it feels in the hand. I was afraid that the plastic grips would be inferior, but honestly these grips look like some of the stock wood grips I've seen come from Colt over the years except for the medallions.
Things I Would Have ChangedIts fine the way it comes, the rear sight needed a tiny tap to correct the windage.
What Others Should KnowDon't go too easy trying to screw in that first CO2 cartridge, do it quickly, and don't forget that drop of Pellgun oil either. Now load it, shoot it, and have a big smile on your face. Do have an adequate backstop if using it indoors. As always don't forget safety glasses; you don't want to be a Ralphie do you?
This is a beautiful gun ! Shoots as good as it looks . Great weight , realistic functions and very accurate!

The weight and features...like all except the rail (but the 70s version's sight's are standard GI and hard to see). I think rails on a pistol look bad, personal preference. Aside from the rail and bobtail, It is pretty much the same gun as my colt commander, just stainless finish. I put a nice set of VZ grips on it and it looks cool now- fun to shoot too!
Things I Would Have ChangedMy gun was pretty dirty and smelled like fireworks/smoke when I got it. I notice this sometimes with stuff made in China, but after a couple polishing with some silicone cloth I got most of the grime that was on the gun off. The edges are a little sharp, especially around the lettering. When polishing, the sharp lettering edges shear off fabric from a cleaning cloth. So, maybe a light sand or glass bead blast to refine it a bit more (and would pay more) but it is what it is. Remember, the cost here because if is one heck of a BB gun for the money if it lasts.
What Others Should KnowAs all CO2 magazines, be careful not to go too fast and cross thread- the metal is not stainless steel. Otherwise, have fun! A new set of grips really changes the gun from a Springfield Loaded GI "clone", into more of a custom looking piece.
