Able to sling three regulated .50 caliber shots per fill, the Hammer utilizes Umarex’s patent-pending Lightspeed™ valve created specifically to deliver jaw-dropping power. Crafted to throw 550 grain, .50 caliber slugs downrange at 760fps for an unheard of 700 FPE, and a 250gr slug at 1,000 fps—the Hammer has more than enough power to knock down even the largest game. Powered by a huge 4,500 psi carbon fiber cylinder that is regulated to 3,000 psi allows for 3 consistent, full-powered regulated shots with the ability for a powerful fourth follow-up shot.
Once you fire your first shot, move on to the next by operating the straight-pull bolt to index the 2-round magazine. The bolt’s low 2-lb cocking effort makes taking a fast follow-up shot shockingly easy. Each Hammer includes two magazines to keep the shots coming. For added protection, the Hammer employs a three-step safety system that includes a manual trigger safety, hammer-block, and a magazine lockout that prevents the gun from being fired without the magazine inserted.
The stock was crafted in collaboration with PolyOne Corp., renowned as experts in the field of specialized polymer products and resulted in a rough-and-ready all-weather stock built to support this rifle’s powerful shots. Each stock includes a rear sling stud and three M-LOK slots in the forearm for adding accessories. The Magpul AR grip contours to the hand, and can be switched out for other AR grips. When choosing your optics you will have a lot of options with the long 8.5” Weaver/Picatinny rail that rests right above its fully-moderated barrel. This barrel is reported to be able to put its first three shots within an inch at 50 yards!

ABSOLUTE CANNON!!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE PELLET GUN FOR PLINKING AND SMALL RODENTS. IT CAN COMPETE WITH SOME GUN POWDERED FIREARMS EASILY. IT LEAVES HUGE HOLES WITH 350 GRAIN HOLLOW POINTS. DON'T TAKE THIS RIFLE LIGHTLY IT'S A BEAST!!!!!Things I would have changed:
A LOT OF POWER BUT TAKES A MAJOR EFFORT TO GET IT TO 4500 PSI WITH A HAND PUMP. COULD USE A SOFTER TRIGGER AND IT GIVES YOU A KICK WHEN FIRED. MAKE SURE YOUR HOLDING THE RIFLE PROPERLY SO THE KICK ISN'T AS HARSH ON YOUR SHOULDER. BECAUSE OF THIS, IT COULD USE A BETTER SHOULDER BUTT TO ABSORB SOME OF THE KICK IT CREATES.What others should know:
WORTH EVERY PENNY. YOU'LL BE SHOCKED AT HOW POWERFUL THIS GUN IS....SERIOUSLY, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.
Power. Reasonable weight. AR grip ergonomics. But it ends there.Things I would have changed:
Complete redesign to the action and loading mechanics. You get a HUGE blast of air to the face from around the magazine. It's not just a little puff. It's debilitating to shooting, and frankly, it feels DANGEROUS. This is not a faulty gun, it's normal operation and states in the manual not to put your hands anywhere near the breech. What others should know:
I am an experienced airgunner. The previous comment that mentioned "it's as if CO2 plinkers designed a big bore," couldn't be any more accurate. It shows in all aspects of the design and workmanship of this gun.
High caliberThings I would have changed:
Better designWhat others should know:
Mine did not work right out of the box.
Got a question or answer?
Can you put a bipod on this?
I am on the fence between 2 rifles. The Hammer and the Texan. The Hammer has a nice clean look about it, requires basically no adaptors to mount anything aside from possibly small Picatinny rails. The Texan IMHO is such an ugly Rifle, cheap buttstock, and 11mm Rails which would require you to buy "Airforce" attchments, or get Picatinny adaptors to fit the Dovetail rails. In all, I am still on the fence because of the caliber I want (.50). I do not want a Dragon Claw period. That does not tickle my fancy. Anyone own either 1 of those Air Rifles? Compliments or complaints about both will help me in my decisions. Thank you
Do they sell more air tanks for this like the Texan
