Multi-layer pellet: Copper and black nickel layers add increased weight and penetration. Advertised as the quiet pellet, these Whisper pellets are intended for hunting. The manufacturer states this .22-caliber pellet will reduce the report (noise) made by the discharge of your Gamo Whisper air rifle. Gamo suggests that you use this with Gamo air rifles that have Whisper, Bull Whisper and Whisper Fusion technology for the quiet hunting.

Things I liked: Not much i did like.

Things I would have changed: Everything. Ammo is dirty, way more expensive and its not even quieter than anything else i shoot. Not worth the price at all.

What others should know: Barely fits my .22 . Its not quiet, its dirty and pretty expensive for what it is. Not worth it.

Things I liked: Most accurate of all the .22 pellets I've tested in my Crosman Crusher NXP. Even though it is a nicely weighted pellet, it has great speed and penetration as well as uniform mushroom on impact. Tests showed speeds above 950 at barrel and 880 at 30yards. 1.5 inch Groups consistently. They are tight in the breech, but this makes them very accurate.... many large rodents frequenting my property have now met their maker.

Things I would have changed: Make a tin available with more product in it.

What others should know: do your own testing, but I find this Gamo product outperformed the German pellets in both accuracy and speed and punch for similar weight

Things I liked: Although not as Quiet as it's claim, It's one accurate round, A little long for my AT series PCP's,(which would be one lethal combo), These rounds performed excellent in my my Crosman NVD, and Benji' Trail. Good head size, rifling engages around both the skirt and head uniformaly, which provides for an optimum twist, which translates into excellent d/r accuracy, and energy transfer, Mushrooms much like a powderburner round.

Things I would have changed: A tad shorter as to be more universally magazine friendly, as this round sits now, it's pretty much good for Break-Barrels, and some single shot bolt-actions(QB-78,AR2078LE, etc,.)

What others should know: This round is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for with this round, an excellent round for small game applications. It's a heavy round, about the same weight as a Baracuda round, so use good judgement in the weapon you choose to use these pellets with, Also don't forget to add a drop or two of your favourite lube to your tin, I use Napier, but Gamo has a new Lube on the market that's just as good. Cheer's, and Happy Huntin', Andy.
