Athlon 4-16x44 AO Midas TAC Reviews

I’ve now put a few hundred rounds through my CZ457 22lr with the Midas Tac on it. For the price point, I think this optic is hard to beat. Obviously, the glass isn’t as good as higher-priced scopes, but it’s good nonetheless. Thus far, adjustments have been true and repeatable. Other than durability (too soon to assess that), repeatability of adjustments is my main criteria. I’ll update if anything changes.

This scope performs very well. Tracks great, I am using it on a .22 lr that gets shot out to 300 yards so the turrets get used a lot.

I mounted this scope to a precision rimfire setup and it was a huge upgrade over my previous scope. The glass is very clear, I haven't used it in low light, but I haven't noticed any aberration of any kind, even at the highest magnification. The turret mechanics are crisp, and the zero stop and turret zeroing are simple and easy to use. Boxing the scope shows a very accurate return to zero. Has plenty of elevation travel. Would highly recommend.

Mounted this on my 300 win mag savage high country 110 and can easily shoot out to 500yds

This is my first Athlon I've purchased. Built like a tank! Great positive clicks and return to zero. Glass is good for this price point and I would recommend it to my friends after using it for sometime now.

I put this on my 18 inch 556 dmr competition rifle and it has performed flawlessly. Repeatable and accurate elevation and windage adjustments

Clear Glass, nice reticle, and tactile turrets. Continues to meet or exceed many other “higher end” optics features at a much lower price point. Excellent value for your dollar! If you are on the fence just pull the trigger and you won’t be disappointed.

Midas TAC mounted on Tikka T3x UPR. Clear glass with a precision reticle that produces consistent results. Works extremely well for both hunting and LRS applications. A great value for the money.

The glass is great. Couldn’t ask for a better scope and price. The scope was clear as day all the way out to 750yds. I haven’t pushed it any further than that. It stayed at zero after 200 rounds in my 7mm. I’m eventually going to put it on my .300 win mag and I have no doubt it will hold up. The directions in the box are more than sufficient for someone who wants to get into medium-long range hunting or shooting. I knew nothing and claim to still not know a thing about long range. I just want to be able to shoot an elk or deer at 1000yds with no problem some day. This scope with absolutely allow that to happen with a little practice. I would buy this scope and recommend it to anyone. I think this holds up against any of my vortex or leupold scopes, no problem. I also like the MIL better than MOA. The math is easier to do in your head. Plain and simple.

I’ve been using the optic for about a year now. No complaints. For the money/price point, it exceeded my expectations. Good job on this one, Athlon.

Price was rite, glass is very clear with thin reticle, scope tracks as it should, I have been running this on a 22lr and running so far out to 330 yards and all in between regularly and the scope runs great. It is a bit heavy, buy for a precision rifle from a rest of some sort that is not a bad thing.

I love this optic. Next to my ATACR Nightforce 7x35 it is my go to for Long Range Sgooting. I have one on my 6.5x47 Lapua and on my 33 Nosler.

10 all the reading iv done and know people that like them all so its some thing that you can use hunting for a long time allso enjoy learning windage and long rang shooting have friends that have this model that said you could not go wrong in getting it its great for a beginner so you have all the options to learn . its at a great price and life time guarantee i would highly recommend it you wont be disappointed

I was going to say what a great scope. Clarity is amazing all the way to 24X. Got it 11 Jun and now "11 Jul" & sending back for repair. After putting maybe 250 to 300 rounds of 7mm Rem Mag, I can finally say zero is not holding. I thought it was my action lug screw, maybe lose ring, maybe lose scope screw, or maybe my barrel is finally over or that 185Gr RDF not performing. I finally come in to the conclusion after setting a new big bullseye target I barely use. The group is not bad on my rifle at 200Yrds but yhe turret elevation and windage is just not helping to zero in that big bulleye.

I have had the pleasure of trying different optics on a variety of rifles. I read about and ultimately purchased one of these optics and determined them to be better than their price range and extremely durable in the field. Accuracy for these optics is better than most and the glass is very clear.

4 out of 5 stars only due to small attention to detail things like not being able to set the turret to zero. It is slightly misaligned and that bothers me. Outside that form and function is outstanding. The scope seems to track really well and the optical clarity is better than some of the big name manufacturers. I can see the center rings of an MR-1FC target at 600 yards and 223 holes one a white background at 300 yards. I would not hesitate to buy another one of these. I have been really pleased with it.

I've been using this scope for the past few months and it has been amazing! Turrets have a good feel and audible clicks, the zero stop works as it should. Tracking is spot on, I've only tested out to 500yds but hopefully they'll have the new 1000yd range completed soon and I can update this review. Glass is as good or better than anything else I've used. Hard to beat the quality and price you get with this scope.

I have always been a fan of vortex and to be honest they make great products and I still own a bunch of their scopes. When I purchased the Midas tac I was skeptical but I have zero regrets it was an upgrade if anything. If you have any questions about anything let me know.
