As a ELR shooter, I need clarity to read mirage and wind. I run this glass on a 408 warlord wildcat rifle as well as on my 338lm. Not only does the optic do its job superbly, it doesn't even blink at the recoil punishment that the big caliber dishes out.
Athlon has a great warranty like all the major brands do.
I will be also running this on my 22lr ELR rifle as well, where seeing impacts is very had past 500 yards.

I bought this scope and put it on 6mm creedmoor I built for PRS matches. It tracked well and returned to zero flawlessly. I would highly recommend this scope!

As good as it gets. Compared to NightForce ATAC-R and there is no difference. Great scope

The Chronus is the best optic I have ever used. Has excellent glass out to long ranges. The build quality is top notch, when you feel the controls you will understand.

I have looked through others and never had this clear of a picture while zoomed in. I can even see well enough at half power to ID details at my current max viewing distance of about 850 yards.

So far my experience with this scope has been great. Comparing to the Ares ETR the turrets are even better and the glass is excellent. Overall far superior to the strike eagle and in my opinion a little better than the gen 2 razor. Even compared to the nx8 the cronus seems significantly better to me. The tracking is spot on so far. I love the turret markings. They make it super easy to keep track of elevation. For the money, I don’t think you can go wrong with the cronus btr.

Scope is incredibly clear, and easy to adjust. I found the first one so nice, that I went and bought another one.

This scope has far surpassed my expectations. I went out on a limb and a recommendation from a friend when I purchased this scope without ever handling one. The turret clicks are solid and very audible. This scope tracks very well. With the MSRP price I would say this is more for mid level to expert users, but thanks to the expert voice discount it makes a great entry level optic for those that are getting started in precision/long range shooting.

The glass snobs will always choose the higher priced established brands, even when made in the same factory. The Chronus BTR Gen 2 offers equivalent performance at a much lower price. Adjustments are accurate and reliable, and the glass is exceptional at the price point.

Great scope with great glass. The parallax is a little too finicky for my taste. You cant beat the quality for pricepoint.

Honestly, I opted for this scope because Vortex doesn't ever seem to have their Razor scopes in stock. For the price, you get plenty of bang for you buck. With that said, I can't ever get as great a site picture or glass clarity as I did with the Vortex Razor lines..

The glass is clear and markings very legible. The magnification ring is very stiff, but hopeful it will loosen just a bit over time. Focus is also tight. Clicks on Elevation and Windage knobs are audible and defined. This is my 3rd Athlon product and my first Cronus. It is definately a step up over my prior two scopes.

The Athlon Cronus is a top tier scope. Very clear optics with a great reticle that is perfect in size and function. The turrets have a very positive click to them when adjusting windage or elevation. They are very precise as well. The only negative I can think of is the turrets are very stiff, which I like, but sometimes it is hard to adjust just one click. It is easy to do 2 clicks at a time due to the stiffness. However, this may improve with use over time. The zero stop function is simple and very solid when set. For the price, no other scope on the market can touch it, as of 2021.

After this coat, I sold all my vortex razors! The perfect competition/hunting scope!

I couldn't be happier. The scope was delivered within a week and is spectacular! The fit and finish are spot on and it's solid. The glass is clear, turrets are crisp and you can't beat the value.

Fantastic company. Glass is clearer than my vortex razor, especially around dusk.

this scope is above and beyond, the price point. Japanese glass and great turrets. this is a must have.

This scope competes with other high-end scopes at a much lower price point. Quality is top notch and is built with Japanese quality glass. Focus and edge-to-edge clarity are top notch.

Amazing quality scope, glass is crisp and turrets are solid.
