Instead of including an extra screw and leaving it to the customer to drill and tap a third screw in the base, have it done that way from the factory. That way all the customer has to do is install it. Having the extra screw provides extra stability and a little less worry on the customers part. Still an awesome product for what it is.

This will raise your scope, so take that into consideration when buying rings. I already had my scope which came with a set of high weaver rings, so I had to buy new low rings in order to be able to sight the rifle in and not run out of up elevation adjustment.

I picked up one of these in order to mount a red dot sight on my air pistol. It was very easy to install, and holds the sight securely. No problms.

Easy to set up with all tools included. Just the ticket to mounting Weaver mounting optics to a 2240 with a metal breech. Well made and sturdy make for a solid product.

I prefer Weaver type scope mounts. Has stop pin. Comes with allen wrenches and extra screws.

It would be nice if stop pin was pre-drilled on both ends so mount could be reversed. The metal on the overhang part of the mount should be thicker.

I drilled and tapped a third mounting bolt hole and used the extra supplied screw for a more solid mount to the rifle. I also drilled and tapped another stop pin hole 3 slots from the original in order to reverse the mount. I had to very slightly file the corners of the dove tail on one end of the mount in order to make it clamp down correctly on my Crosman quest 1000. I'm now using see thru scope mounts with the original scope. Much better eye relief and I can still use the iron sights with the scope attached. May sound complicated, but took less than an hour to complete.

Fits great and does what it was designed to do on a Gamo Big Cat pellet gun.

Pyramid Air is AWESOME. I ordered a Leapers rubber armored 3-9 variable scope from P.A. for my dads birthday and the scope rings would not fit the grooves on the rifle. I called P.A. and they suggested different rings which I ordered, but they wouldn't fit either. Beginning to get a little agravated, I called P.A. again and they sent me this piece FREE of charge and apologized thoroughly for the mistake. That's what I call customer service!!!

Make it slightly longer.

This rail works well on some rifles but not on others. If the dovetail is deep enough it will mount correctly but if you have a round receiver with a shallow groove it will not sit flush and may damage the finish on your gun. It is also a short rail. It will hold some smaller scopes fine but on a few of my side focus models there isn't enough room to spread the rings to clear the windage and elevation block on the scope. It is still a very good item for the price and for rifles mounting smaller scopes and also needing to clear a magazine. I wouldn't recommend this for a springer. Even with a stop pin it just doesn't seem strong enough for rifles in the magnum class. It did mount to my RWS 52 but not the Air Arms TX200. After mounting I realized this was a bit small and I wouldn't want to trust it on a more powerful springer. It now resides on a BSA Super 10.

make the bottom concave. I had some trouble mounting it on the top of my rifle because it was convex.

This adapter does the job at a reasonable price.It also gives the option to move the scope closer to the eye.I found this to be a big help in some scope installations.

Great way to eliminate "scope walk" on my Marlin 7000. Set screw makes a difference and the customer service at Pyramydair is fantastic!
