Maybe change the white dot sights to a fluorescent green color for my aging eyes.

I’ve wanted a 1911 style for a long time and after doing a lot of research I decided on the black Springfield and I have no regrets. The gun functions and performs flawlessly and shoots to point of aim at 25 feet. The silver barrel bushing doesn’t bother me at all and the magazine is easy to load: When the spring is pulled all the way up above the loading divet simply lift the plunger out the front a tiny bit so it catches the metal lips above the divet and it stays in place while loading. When full just snap it down to hold bb’s in place. For a loading aid I use a thin straw just slightly larger than the 4.5mm bb size and plug one end using a dab of putty and I cap the top with a plastic barrel cap from an old Bic pen and it fits perfect. This lets me rapidly load the magazine on every bb gun I have without dropping them all over the place. Wrap the straw with packing tape and prevent it from cracking. It’s cheaper than buying the five dollar factory version.

Very realistic as to looks and weight. I have not and may not shoot it.

Unreal. I was completely amazed at the quality and realism of this 1911. I had to go retrieve a real one to compare. Some differences: weight, finish. For 1/8 the cost of a real good quality 1911, I am truly amazed at the similar feel and function.

I've collecting for Many Years. I bought a Colt 1911 pellet pistol with the Stainless Finish quite a while ago. I polished it up till it looked nickel plated. Wish I would have bought TWO! You can't get 'em anymore... I hope these will polish up too! I'll have to get back to you all when I do.

It is pretty darn loud! Not complaining, just surprised.

This is a very faithful replica. You cannot tell it is not a real firearm.

Great for spending inexpensive “Trigger Time” at home to maintain peak skills with the M1911. This air pistol is amazingly similar to the real firearm. The blowback feature is very realistic. We use 6” diameter adhesive “SplatterBurst” targets at 5-10 yards indoors.

Easier loading of the magazine. However, we successfully use the shank end of a 1/8” drill bit to hold the follower back while loading.

Of the many M1911 Air Pistols on the market, and we own a few, this one takes the prize.

Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec. CO2 .177 BB Gun Is by far the best authentic BB 1911 I have ever owned. It looks, feels, operates and weighs exactky like the real 45ACP MilSpec 1911.

I wouldn’t change anything but, if this BB gun came in a nice timber box and had timber grips then it’d be phenomenal.

I don’t think these will be arpund for ever, I bought two and will buy a couple more so I have a few before they dissapear. Thanks Pyramydair for the great service and prompt delivery of my BB guns.

This is an excellent addition to my collection of 1911 co2 pistols. The build quality and finish is at a high standard. What you look for in a replica. Functions smoothly no problems.

this pistol has the weight and feel of a real 1911. as an army veteran (23 yrs), it delighted me... takes me back to the pre 9mm days.

would like to see this pistol with a blowback mode.

have not had time for accuracy tests. but just bought a new chrono (yay) and hope to get out to the range soon.

I love the look, feel, and overall fit and finish of this gun. I have a couple of real 1911s, but can't afford to shoot them because of the price of ammo. This gun feels very close to real. It is made out of some kind of pot metal, not real steel like a real gun. But considering the price, it's not bad at all. Racking the slide feels and sounds very realistic. It can even be field stripped and reassembled in a few minutes. The procedure is VERY similar to the real thing. Someone who is not into guns could very likely be convinced this is a real gun.

This is where things go downhill. The first 2 complaints are fairly minor considering what this is. I don't care for the white writing on the gun, or the bright silver barrel bushing. But I actually bought this to shoot. And there is where the problem shows up. The magazine is almost impossible to load. I seriously injured my thumb the first time I tried to load it. Tore my thumbnail half off. OUCH! It is almost impossible to hold the little slider thing down while trying to put BBs in it. It probably wouldn't be that bad if they just dropped in, but they don't. For every BB I was able to get into the magazine, another one flew off into space. You need three hands to load this thing. I consider that a fatal flaw. It takes all the fun out of shooting this gun. This is just bad design, and ruins an otherwise very nice gun.

Reread the part about loading the magazine. I saw complaints about that in some other reviews, but didn't realize it would be as bad as it is. Everything else is great for the price.

Looks and feels like a firearm not a BB toy gun

Needs a tool to assist in refilling the BBs into the magazine as it is hard to force the spring down with just your finger nail

Lots of fun at home, no need to drive to the local gun range, with no problem it easy to shot at 21 ft and get 16 out of 20 into the 9 ring which is a qualifying score for a CCW here in California for a fire arm.

Real looking and functions just like the real one.

If the CO2 canister would last longer. Easier to load.

This copy has a recoil just like a real 1911. Makes for a really good training weapon,either for concealed carry practice or teaching non shooters how to manage a firearm.
