    Things I liked:

I have the XL 1500 .177 NPS which is a nice gun. Shoots great but really heavy for lugging around the woods. And it really doesn't have the knock down power of my other .22 cal RWS. So I thought I'd give this try. Finding that the NPS guns are alot easier to master than the springers. Anyway. Things I like. Synthetic stock makes this gun a lot lighter than the .177 I have with a wood stock. Don't need to be afraid of marring up the stock. Had to shim the back scope ring up to get it shooting correct but after about 150 rounds, it's pretty consistent. The trigger is alot nicer on this one compared to my .177 which I wound up replacing with a GRT. And I am really liking the lighter weight.

    Things I would have changed:

As mentioned above, I had to shim up the back ring of the Center Point scope. Was shooting very low even adjusted all the way up. Not happy about this at all so I will definitely be upgrading the scope down the road.

    What others should know:

If the gun holds up, it's definitely worth the $200 bucks. I'd give it 5 stars for accuracy but too soon to tell. Only shot 150 round through it but I'm getting fairly tight groups with only an occasional flier. I gave it a 4 for overall rating because of the scope. Would be nice if they offered it at a lower price without the scope so you could choose one of your liking. One last note. These NPS guns are much easier master than the springers.

    Things I liked:

I got the 22 cal. NP trail it has good power. The accuracy is good I use 14.3gr Winchester pellets. The domed Premiers work good also. Use some silicone on the O ring. also clean the barrel when you get the rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

I changed the trigger to a GRT III right away the stock trigger is parkerized and the rough out side edges rub on the inside of the trigger mount I polished this off until I received my new trigger it helped a lot. I changed the scope to a 4x16AO center point. This will help you make the 75yrd shots and more.

    What others should know:

I have made some great shots with this rifle. I like the synthetic stock. Use a powerful scope. Find the pellet the rifle likes and work or change the trigger. I have wood stocks they are good also. The Benjamin stocks fit well.

    Things I liked:

    Nothing. Very disappointed.

    Things I would have changed:

Full description of an item being sell as a reman warranty wise and what things are omitted.

    What others should know:

Don't buy this gun reman from this company. I got scammed! They send me a gun that was built using bad parts from several guns. It looks like they cherry picked all the bad parts from several guns and assembled those bad parts and sold it to me as a reman. This is what I got from them. If this was a reman it should have been cleaned like the real professional does. I will post all the pictures I have taken from this gun and look for yourselves. I will also label it as proof. I was very excited with my first gun purchased and when it arrived just to be disappointed. I have fired 1 shot to my disappointment and have not done anything about the gun but to mount the scope. I fired one shot just to make sure if it is working at least. I always buy refurbished or remanufactured item but this is the worse item I have ever bought. For me I would categorize this as used or previously owned with blemishes. There is no way this is a reman item.

    Things I liked:

It's quiet. I got the $149 re-manufactured version. I haven't shot it enough to have an opinion on accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

It's like the designers want it to look like a firearm. The stock comes up around the hinge and looks dumb with unfinished areas showing (similar to all other break barrels, but still dumb).

    What others should know:

My 397 shoots much smoother. The Trail NP doesn't have the awful aftershocks of a metal spring, but there is still a big jump when firing. It's not the man sized 397 I was hoping for.

    Nice looking.

    Things I would have changed:

Ok lets start with open sights I failed to make sure it came with them. The scope seams nice but I have fired 30 rounds and no matter what I tried the shots went wilder and wilder. I am going to rezero the scope and start again if it fails to make a group it will go back.

    What others should know:

It has a lot of power but if you can't put it on target it is worthless.

    Things I liked:

Everything but the trigger! After a month and at least 1000 pellets, I orderd a GTRIII. This made a much better gun work with. The only problem then, was that 150 to 200 pellets down the road the Center point scope fell apart inside. I contacted Pyramyd and they said "Send it back". I now have a new gun and a new scope. I have already changed triggers. These are a great gun. The accuracy is great.

    Things I would have changed:

Total new Trigger design. Gamo has always had a lousy trigger. The rest of the gun is great and very accurate. P.S. The scope is OK if it doesn't come apart.

    What others should know:

I am getting very consistent groups from Crosman Premium HP's 7.9gr, and Crosman Comp WC 7.4gr. Both are lowering the tree rodent population in my walnut trees very quickly. Pyramyd--Keep up the good work and great play toys. (I am 69 years old, and having a ball!!!)

    Things I liked:

Accurate and very powerful, not bad at all with the correct artillery hold! I haven't found the best pellets for this gun yet but I'm trying out some great ones!!

    Things I would have changed:

You need a better trigger on this gun it makes it easier to get a good grouping. I also had the same gun before and it sucked, it had a huge shotgun spred in grouping. So I sent it to the Crosman Corperation and they replaced it!

    What others should know:

I got the same one of these before and it had the GRT-III trigger and it still had a horrible shotgun spred in grouping. It was super week too. But thankfully I got it replaced and the new one can easly pass through a 1/2" board of wood! Now with the GRT-III trigger I'm hitting quarters at 30 yrads almost every time! So GET THE GRT-III TRIGGER OR THE GTX TRIGGER IT WILL BE MUCH MORE ACCURATE!!!

    Things I liked:

I really like the scope they bundle with it. Its pretty clear and the variable zoom and adjustable objective is very nice. The gun seems pretty accurate, i could easily hit a soda can at 50 yards and i hit one at close to a 100 yards a couple of times.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is a little strange, its okay, but its not great, the second stage is kinda long. Other than that the only thing I would change/add would be to upgrade the scope to a 4-16x50 scope instead and add a swivel stud somewhere on the stock in so a bi pod can be attached.

    What others should know:

I bought the .22 cal, and ive been using crosman premier hollow points. They have been working out pretty good for me.

    Things I liked:

the delivery of the air rifle was very fast. i found that the gun shot well out of box and that after cleaning it it was much better. i plan on upgrading the trigger after the 1 yr warranty is up and the trigger is not as bad as people made it seem. mine is solid with no wobble or creep. the pull is a little heavy but should ease with use. overall a great gun and great price

    Things I would have changed:

i would change the delivery process. i ordered additional items such as moly paste and cleaning equipment and instead of securing them in the box either with another box or good bubble wrap the other items were just thrown in the box. this could possibly cause some considerable damage to certain more fragile items. the only damage i had was a cracked case for the cleaning pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

Include a gift certificate for charliedatuna.com, since things don't seem to be happening too fast at the factory to rectify the problem.

    What others should know:

The CenterPoint isn't terrible, but a better piece of glass will help toss some lead downrange. With the hammer this tank is dropping, it's all about the little tiny holes way out there. Or if you prefer, goodnight Mr. Bunny.

    Things I liked:

This gun is well worth it for the money. for $210 you get powerful accurate rifle, and an awesome scope to mount on. accuracy out of the box is impressive and im still getting use to it. really comfortable to shoot considering its got the pistol grip. nock down power seems very legit also.

    Things I would have changed:

For this price nothing. maybe maybe not make the breach as tight as it is making it hard to put in pellets but its not a big deal.

    What others should know:

Don't shoot light weight pellets with this gun. the trigger is not all bad as people are making it out to be. the breach in my gun made it kinda hard to put pellets in for me. make sure you tighten your gun when you get it.

    Things I liked:

Accurate, powerful, like the way the sling attaches, and the scope rail, weaver/picatinny type. Why hasn't anyone do this before.

    Things I would have changed:

Do something about that horable trigger, this rifle should have something better

    What others should know:

Great rifle, and unlike the Gamo bone collector bull whisper I recently got, it's actually bretty quiet. Even with this terrible trigger accuracy is very nice so far crosman premiers and Benjamin domed pellets seem to be most accurate. It is a little heavier than other pellet rifles, but that seems to help hold it steady while aiming. For the money this would be a very good choice, especially if you need a quiet airgun.

    Things I would have changed:

The accuracy and adjustable scope rail

    What others should know:

Maybe I just received a gun with a bad barrel but it shoots really low at 10 ,20, and 30 yrds, I've been through 12 air rifles and have been doing this for 10yrs and have never had a gun with such poor accuracy no groupings at all, they say after about 1000 shots it'll be more accurate but every gun I've had I can group rright out the box not this gun, and pyramyd air refuses to help or exchange my gun, pretty sad I love pyramyd air

    Things I liked:

I have the .22 and it's powerful and relatively quiet. It seems to be a good rifle for a year or so.

    Things I would have changed:

Where do I begin. I should say first that I have spent dozens of hours reading blogs and so on trying to diagnose and fix the accuracy issues with this rifle. I have fired it a lot and am by no means a novice shooter. But the accuracy is extremely fickle and variable. I replaced the trigger. I had then assumed it was the problem of the scope shipped in the combo, so I bought a new one. This rifle will shoot three rounds within a half inch one day, then the next they're all over the place, six inches apart. I have worked on hold factors, done all kinds of reasonable engineering tinkering, but no good. In fact, from one minute to the next you can group your rounds, adjust the scope, set the rifle down, and an hour later you're shooting four inches away again in a random pattern. It has a mind of its own and just resets randomly. I don't get it, and apparently it's a known factor with these rifles.

    What others should know:

Ya know, I'm sorry, but $200-plus is real money to me. I expect something to work for that kind of cash. It seems like whatever is reasonably affordable in this society is made in China, and is shoddy. It's a real shame that so much of what's available in the shooting sports seems to follow that template. I look at the Crosmans and Gamos and so on, and they're all built around this same basic design. I would love to shoot in the yard for relaxation but already am over 200 dollars deep in this boat anchor and my obligations seem to expand to meet the cash I'd spend on a much better piece. But again, it stretches my imagination as to why I should have to replace this one.

    Things I liked:

Accurate.. Able to group 1" at 30 yards with Beeman Field Target Special .22 Cal, 14.66 Grains. The scope is decent; still holding zero after 250+ shots; Like the pistol grip, make the gun very stable. The noise is not that loud.. less than the sound of a air nail gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is horrible. Either replace it with after market or modify it. It heavy at nearly 10lbs with scope.. I can't keep the gun stable after 10+ shot, will need support. Would like to see a higher scope, perhaps X12-X16.

    What others should know:

Before you buy a new trigger, try remove the spring. It will remove the creep on the tripper. Making it a light single stage trigger. Definitely need to practice the Artillery Hold to shoot this rifle accurately.

    Things I liked:

The rifle is nicely built, and quiet. Everything look solid. It took me about 15 min to level and mounted the scope. The scope is quite good. It has 3-9 magnification + AO + Mil Dot. I was able to zero and get consistence 1" group at 10 yards after about 25 shots, and I never shoot an air rifle before. I think the scope is very good pair with the rifle. At maximum zoom it a little fuzzy. So far it hold zero well after 50+ shots. You will need to utilize the artillery hold in order to get good grouping on this rifle. The trigger on this rifle is horrible.. I think I would have made better shot if it not for the trigger. I will replace with the aftermarket soon. The rifle is a little heavy for me. I would need some sort of support to shoot accurately. So far I only tried two type of pellet. H&N Bracuda Match 21.14G, and Beeman Field Target Special 14.66G. Both are accurate, although I think the Beeman is more better out of the two. At 10 lbs with scope, this rifle is a little on the heavy side for me. After a few shots, I can't hold it steady without some support. I also like the pistol grip. It help steady the rifle. Overall, I like the rifle. It perform very nicely so far.

    Things I would have changed:

Need new trigger. PyramyAir adjusted my trigger before shipping out the rifle. They practically unscrew the screw to adjust the second stage, and it still suck.. :) Also, they could reduce the weight on the rifle a little. Even though it made out of composite, it is as heavy as wood stock..

    What others should know:

Great rifle. Very accurate. Buy the 20-$20 Service Plan for a peace of mind.

Very accurate and hits hard. I have this model in .22 caliber. I use Crosman premier hollow points. Excellent rifle and good scope.

    Things I would have changed:

It is a heavy rifle. It would be nice if they could shave off a couple of pounds.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing I can think of.

    What others should know:

DO NOT dry fire this rifle. DO NOT pump and load it until you're ready to fire. WILL NOT fit most scoped rifle cases due to the thumb hole stock.
