    Things I liked:

Great looks. Quiet. 800fps with 14.3gr .22 pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

Plastic beartrap lever NP214-056. Scope for a UTG Mildot AO scope. Trigger for softer one.

    What others should know:

After 6 months of use the piston seal bolt came loose. Broke the beartrap lever which is plastic because clip came off.. Barrel bolt came loose. Hard recoil. Your scope must be very schock proof.

    Things I liked:

Although I am a really wood stocked rifle man (the NP 2 is not available in wood yet in .177 cal),I'm growing to like the looks of the black on black NP 2. It shot nearly dead on right out of the box- so that did a lot to do with accepting its different looks! It cocks smooth and the trigger is decent. It is so quiet, the pellet impacting the target is louder than the firing cycle of the rifle. The impact of the pellet is pretty significant too! The biggest plus for me is the accuracy. The pellet lands where the cross hairs intersect, most every time. This is what we want, right?

    Things I would have changed:

Even though the scope which came with the rifle seemed OK, I installed my own heavy duty rings and scope. There is one type I like and keep spares on the shelf, though I have never had one fail. There are also some very sharp edges of the plastic on the underside of the fore-stock which I eased with some fine emery cloth to avoid getting sliced. Aside from this minor thing, I have yet to find any flaws with the NP2.

    What others should know:

I found the majority of the reviewers were correct about the ammo these things like. The Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum 10.5 gr. pellets seem to get it done for my rifle. I feel if it works, don't fix it. Unless something changes, the ammo stays the same.

    Things I liked:

Velocity, ease of cocking, quiet operation, overall weight (light enough for extended use)

    Things I would have changed:

Would like to see a beefier stock and larger pistol grip. Crosman should package this rifle with better optics.

    What others should know:

A really decent rifle. I owned a Benjamin Trail NP rifle and the NP2 is a definite improvement especially when it pertains to cocking effort and trigger quality. Swap out the scope for a better optic and you're good to go.

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Quiet and powerful-easily goes through 3/4 inch plywood at 20 yards with .22 hollow points. Very easy cocking. After several shots, accuracy improved to about 1/2" groups at 20 yards without aid of bench rest or bean bag.

    Things I would have changed:

Improve trigger pull. Pretty bad out of the box, but I was able to adjust trigger so that there was no creep, but still a little too stiff. I would guess the release is around 7 or 8 lbs. The 3-9x30 scope it came with is garbage. It can't be focused under 20 yards and caused serious inaccuracy, even at that range and closer. They have replaced that scope with a new 3x9x40, which I understand is a major improvement over the 3x9x30 the gun was packaged with.

    What others should know:

Gun is quite heavy, especially with the scope. I would not want to carry it around for hunting, but for my purposes, shooting rodents in the backyard, it can be held steadier than a lighter gun. Also, the more I shot it, the quieter it got. I am now using an after-market UTG Leapers 3x9x40 scope, which is a great piece of equipment! Good service from Pyramyd.

    Things I liked:

Adding to my previous review. I like the appearance and balance. (though a bit heavy)

    Things I would have changed:

Decrease weight somehow, and change noise dampener design. It spins freely as you break the barrel to load a pellet.

    What others should know:

Finally! After who knows how many pellets, (500 Crosman premier hollow points) I have this hitting a 2 inch target consistently at a measured 23 yds /70 ft. Turns out, as some reviewers have indicated, the artillery hold may not be the best for this rifle. I shoot this in .22 while pushing firmly in my shoulder with my leading hand. This technique allows improved accuracy while standing or at rest. Now I can move on to testing these Predator metalmag Pellets !

    Things I liked:

I unboxed the rifle. Mounted easily the scope rings and scope. Placed a paper target at 5 yards and zeroed in with crossman pointed pellet 14.3 gr using 4 shots. Then moved paper target back to 15 yards and zeroed in. Fired 15 rounds. 13 of the shots were inside the 1" bullseye. This rifle is accurate if you hold on to it tightly. The rifle is beatiful and stealthy looking. The weight is ok. Feels very comfortable. Hand grip is ok for me. Crossman did a great job with this rifle. It is powerful and does not make much noise. The triger is a little hard but I know it will loosen up with use.

    Things I would have changed:

I would not change anything on this rifle.

    What others should know:

Purchase the combo that comes in with a Mildot reticle. You will need it for distance shooting. I am very pleased with the Benjamin Trail NP2.

    Things I liked:

The design sits perfect on a window sill in hunting shack Without falling over quiet not as quiet as marauder pistol(830fps)or disco(850) with ldc but not bad at all. Disco has shortened barrel fps is pretty descent average 820 fps with h&n ftt 14.66 5.53mm(ALL my crosman benjis disco love these pellets accuracy not bad at all one inch at 50 yards still gotta try further.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger is absolute crap with factory settings. even with screw turned out and short second stage still dont like the feel of it. I like the shroud but tends too loosen up after a few shots.

    What others should know:

With this gun at factory trigger settings there is a delay from trigger pull too actual firing of the gun which will hurt accuracy tremendously kinda like shooting a bow follow through is key dont take eye out of scope and hold on target as long as possable after trigger pull. DO NOT turn screw out too far gets too touchy

    Rating 3.03.0 3.0

    Rating 1.01.0 1.0

    Things I liked:

First, I like the scope rail. Why doesn't every manufacturer stop using dovetail scope rails? Second, I like the overall look, and even the balance - though it is a bit heavy.

    Things I would have changed:

I've had this in .22 for a few months now... I would definitely like to see iron sites on the next incarnation of this. Also, the rail could be longer. And while I'm at it, an accessory rail on the sides would be great.

    What others should know:

I gave this rifle a good chance. I want to like it. I want to love it, but I can't! At 30 yards pellet placement is just unpredictable! I'm a former competitive shooter with .22 rim fire rifles, so I know what I'm doing. Trying different techniques still doesn't help. I'm almost through a tin of Crossman premier hollow points, and have yet to more than 2 pellets closer than a quarter @ 30 yds. 3 inches, sure. But my squirrels are smart, when they see me coming, they scram. I need something I can get them with inside the house. I determined this is my second dud I received after returning the first one. Unreliable assembly it seems. The first one wouldn't even cock. And yes, I've cleaned it, adjusted all screws, etc, etc.

    Rating 1.01.0 1.0

    Things I liked:

Price is right for a single shot pellet gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Like a lot manufactured devices these days - the concept is excellent, but the implementation and execution are incompetent. The gun is too heavy for extended field use and could be made lighter with just a little more thought in design and engineering. The power and velocity of the gun are highly variable - and consequently unpredictable. - which equals poor accuracy. I never know how it will perform. I have had times when the gun would penetrate the 3/4" pine backstop at 20m and keep on going, and on another occasion with the same setup, hardly put a dent in the same piece of wood, much less with the same accuracy. I'm guessing the variability of both power and accuracy come from variable performance of the gas piston manufacturing quality (seals and internal finish). The wide variation in power and accuracy can't be accounted for by external variables such as pellet type, weather, etc.

    What others should know:

If you are plinker this gun is as good as any. If you are serious about consistency in power and accuracy - the gun I purchased as an example of this model would not be satisfactory for you. I think we will see considerable technical evolution in the air gun market over the next decade and what we see now - while advanced from a decade ago - is crude and will be seriously bettered for the same economics. I won't purchase another air gun until I see better consistency in design and performance.

    Things I liked:

    Look, power.

    Things I would have changed:

Scope that came with the gun is a piece of junk.

    What others should know:

This gun is heavy, tough to cock, hard to shoot, and the noise is loud. After 2000 rounds the gun's screws loosen. I can wiggle the barrel are hear clicking noise. Called Crosman and sent it back. Will see.

    Things I liked:

Hard hitting rifle, very powerful, easy to cock, light in weight and accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

    The scope I have changed

    What others should know:

It has long sharp edges that are close to a razors edge, I took the action out of the stock and sandpapered the sharp edges. This rifle is a hunting rifle it hits very hard, good value for the money.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I have this rifle in .177 caliber, with a H&N 6.48gm non lead pellet it comes out of the barrel at lightning speed, abit loud it is close to the speed of sound, heavier pellets quiet the rifle down. It hits very hard I say it hits as hard as the Benjamin Trail XL 1500. This rifle is definetly a hunting rifle, very powerful, I noticed it does have a kick to it so you have to let the forward stock rest on the palm of your hand and the shoulder stock tight against your shoulder.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger could be lighter with a shorter pull, you can purchase a CBR trigger from CDT to have the pull at a shorter distance, I have a GRT trigger installed in my Crosman Titan which gives a shorter pull , I get tighter groupings with CDT's triggers.

    What others should know:

There are long sharp lines on the stock that are close to razor sharp, I took the action out of the stock and sandpapered the sharp edges, they are nice and smooth now it is a pleasure to hold.

    Things I liked:

I like the smooth cooking, accuracy is great with RWS Hobby pellets 7.0 grains but a little loud due to the light pellet. Also quiet and accurate with crosman magnum domed pellets 10.5 grains, and Gamo red fire pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

I would only change the sharp edges in the synthetic stock. It's not too bad but it would be more comfortable to hold and shoot.

    What others should know:

I shot a wood plank inch thick and it whent straight through using crosman magnum dome pellets 10.5 grains. This is not recommended for young shooters unless they are trained and supervised by an responsible adult.

    Things I liked:

I have the np-2 after about 500 shots I got the best groups with JSP 15.89 pellets.groups good out to 40 yds.

    Things I would have changed:

Who ever said this rifle is light must be Samson. This thing is almost two lbs. more than that M.1 I toted around for 3 year in the late 50's

    What others should know:

The strap broke the first day.The pin that connects to the stock broke. After five days the nobb that turns the light on the cross hairs fell off.I tried to glue it back but it fell off again.I just tossed it away and put some tape over the hole.I don't use it anyway.Orther then that I'm happy with it.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Things I liked:

Gun is now very quiet, did take about 20 shots to quiet down. Fist shot was very loud. If I hadn't read about others commenting on how hard it is to cock the gun I would not have thought twice. Who are these weaklings? Its not a one finger operation but no big deal for a teenager or adult. Wife does have some difficulty cocking but more due to gun's length/size. Accuracy; did get three shot group at 24 yards with all three touching. Forget artillery hold, I got best group with a solid hold. Not to say you could do the same with an artillery hold but letting the gun bounce around the same after each shot is unrealistic unless your only shooting is from a bench. That pesty ground squirrel is seldom lined up with your bench rest. Gun is very powerful, pellets would break through 5/8 plywood at 24 yards.

    Things I would have changed:

Scope was better than I expected but above about 5x its out of focus. Ideally you could buy gun without the packaged scope saving $20 and use it to purchase a better one for $50 - $60. Scope mount screws which attached mounts to guns rail, not to scope tube, had to be torqued down with enough force it made me concerned something would break. First attempt, on mount came loose. Barrel shroud can come loose when you cock the gun, but just snug shroud at the end of the cock cycle. Don't over tighten though. Many of the stock edges are sharp, it would be nice/better if the mold was designed so edges came out more rounded. Yah, stop nit picking.

    What others should know:

Be sure to clean bore before you shoot for the first time. Barrel arrived very dirty. I have an old low speed springer and this gas piston shoots a little smoother but not a huge difference. Maybe new springers pound the shooter a lot harder than my old one.

    Things I liked:

Love this np2.. its very accurate out from box, even more accurate after break in. It can shoot same hole in 15-20 yards and 1"-11/2" groups at 40-50 yards. This rifle like the crosman dome pellets best in my opinion. I tried some sample test JSB and H&N pellets and it does not like them. The rifle feels very good and solid, light weight not heavy like my titan gp. I love how it is so quite... I already have the center point 4x16x40 scope so can't say anything about the scope it came with. The cocking is smoother but don't feel the difference from my gp so it still hard and recoil feels no different. This np2 is accurate to 60 yards as the box says and maybe more...

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing to complain about after break in and got use to it.

    What others should know:

The flat head screw that tight the barrel and air tube (don't know what it's called) tend to get loose after 20-30 shots. Tried some blue thread lock tied and seems to last longer but still does. It shoots very accurate if it stay tight but once the groups starts to spread wider that screw is getting loose.
