    Things I liked:

This rifle is AWESOME it is accurate shoots very tight groups with all of the pellet except those EXCITE COPPER PLATED they didn't do very well but i have 8 different types of other pellets to try .The gun is EXTREMELY WELL BUILT I had ordered a & Umarex Octane users don't feel hard at me but i had 2 in a row that were defective so we decided to go with the Benjamin Trail NP 2 22 cal. The gun is not near as heavy as the Octane was & the cocking effort seems to be much less & the scope is AWESOME Thius Center-Point 3x9x40mmAO is a excellent scope I love my new rig I haven't got to shoot it 150 times as ill say 125 times so they will be more to come i am gonna tell everyone i knocked a soda screw on lid & put it 32 yards & with the JSB 18.33 the lid shattered at the sound of the gun so this thrills me to have such a nicely built rifle I am very lucky fella I have a whole tin of those 16 grains Polymags i am not going to be shooting any of them un till it Squirrel hunting time again BYE

    Things I would have changed:

One small thing Benjamin need to make the rear sling mount that hold the sling on the gun out of steel instead of what ever they are using i have heard from other reviewers on Pyramid Air but that's all of the negative remarks yet

    What others should know:

Nope If ya buy one i think that you won't be sorry ya did boy i am not i LOVE MY BENJAMIN TRAIL NP2 22 cal. I am gonna start saving for another 22 cal air rifle & this one will be the Hatsan Mod 125 TH

    Things I liked:

The gun feels great. I put about 200 rounds through it, attached the scope (I changed it out for a UTG 3 x 12 x 40)AO) and sighted it. Pretty accurate, I'm still fine tuning but it packs a punch and it's very quite, which I love as I live in the city. Very good gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The grip is a bi small but that's more of a personal preference. Also this was the second gun I received. The first had a bent barrel. So they need to work on their quality control before they leave the factory.

    What others should know:

The grip problem is easy. I took three pieces of solid backed 1/2 inch foam and taped it on the side and back of the grip and now it feels perfect. I used electrical tape and it blends right in.

    Things I liked:

Benjamin Trail NP2 rifles are the best deal out there. And Pyramyd Air has the best deal on them plus you get the Benjamin sling included for free. This is by far one of the most accurate and powerful rifles I have in my collection. I bought both the .177 and .22 cal versions and they both cock smooth, shoot accurate and have the knock down power I was looking for. And the Benjamin Nitro Piston 2 is truly as advertised. Beats the Gamo IGT Ram hands down by far. On top of that you get a quality sling and a 3-9x40 AO scope from CenterPoint with the mounts. Not some throw away scope like Gamo offers. I didn't have to change out the trigger either. Its perfect.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.. This gun is perfect.

    What others should know:

Want to hunt small to medium game? Then get this rifle. You will never regret buying one. Pyramyd Air has some of the best customer service out there. And free 2 day shipping.

    Things I liked:

I just recently purchased my NP2 from PA, let me tell you, You will NOT be dissapointed in this gun! Its an absolute blast to shooot! SUPER quiet and packs a PUNCH! Quality is very nice in my opinion. The stock CP scope that comes bundles is a good combo for this rifle, although I wish it would have the mil dot reticle, but still a very nice scope for the combo. Was very easy to zero in and within a couple of hours I was hitting targets within 2" out to 50yds consistently! Pigeons, squirrels, rabbits, crows and other small game beware! This thing is lethal! I found that mine loves the Crossman Premiers and shoots those pellets very accurately. If your looking at this gun, Get it, you will not be dissapointed!

    Things I would have changed:

wish it had an adjustable cheek piece, and a mil dot reticle on the scope, other than that, it is a great bang for your buck!

    What others should know:

Although it is very QUIET! it does pack a nice punch, a firm hold at the butt, exhale and slowly get to stage 1 of the trigger, continue to exhale keep on target and pull! Hits the bullseye everytime! Very accurate in my opinion.

    Things I liked:

I was excited to get the gun, so when I opened the box I was disappointed to find that the barrel was bent to the right. When I removed the shroud sure enough the actual barrel was bent. I'm sending it back for another but I'm left wondering if I should just go with something else. I need something quiet but can go PCP.

    Things I would have changed:

Quality control. Someone needs to put eyes on this before they ae shipped out.

    What others should know:

You may need to build up the grip with foam, but the gun cocks easy and feels good.

    Things I liked:

Easy to cock; safety is very easy to use; stock is comfortable.

    Things I would have changed:

    Trigger is HEAVY (although there are MANY online videos showing how to improve the trigger);

    What others should know:

I had to return the first rifle because the scope would NOT point where the pellets were going; after many hours of shimming, using one ring, looking for adjustable rings, etc I returned the rifle. Pyramyd AIr's return policy was EXACTLY the way they did business; the second rifle package also had a scope that was way off, however after running the turrets all the way left and right the scope settled in and I was able to use the rifle.

    Things I liked:

Purchased the 22 caliber shoots very accurately and have put approx. 500 rounds through it. The gun is not too picky on ammo type it has more to do with finding the right weight or grain of pellet.

    Things I would have changed:

The barrel cover and suppressor. The suppressor is located at the end of the sheet metal shroud. This is where most people grab the barrel for leverage to cock the rifle. Well after a period of time mine must of cracked on the end and to my surprise part of it flew out and this was while using a cleaning pellet. So I took it apart and found that the plastic suppressor was threaded onto the barrel (1/2-20 THD.). So I made a new cover from 1.125" diameter aluminum and machined the threads so that 50% is on the plastic suppressor and the other 50% is threaded onto aluminum so far it is working as well as accurate.

    What others should know:

The 4x32 Center Point scope lasted a week. This is funny because the cross hairs turned 45 degrees but it still works but I replaced with another brand

Solid construction, so far so good.

    What others should know:

I wouldn't call it quiet, the noise is "cleaner" though. My old spring rifle was twangy and make a very recognizable noise. This gun sounds line a nail gun which blends into the neighborhood better.

    Things I liked:

First I want to thank pyramydair air for such great service. I got the combo deal, and man what a great deal!!! I just got my gun yesterday and first I put scope and sling on. Then I could not wait to shoot it. I ran approximately 50 pellet through it after first cleaning the barrel ( should do this when u get a new one because barrel was real dirty). My son (has a beeman kodiak) and my cousin (has a benjamin titan np) were both with me. We were all blown away out quiet this thing is. And it only took about 25 pellets to get this gun grouping 1/2 inch at 25 yards. Now they both are wanting one. Also the thing benjamin stated about less recoil is true. I love this gun!!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Only thing I don't like is the plastic crown at the base of the silencer. I wish benjamin would have make it with aluminum or something like that.

    What others should know:

If you are checking out Pyramid Air for your first purchase, know that this place rocks. The shipping is super fast and the service if 5 star.

    Things I liked:

I am very pleased with the NP2 rifle. I have an older Trail NP that had the Gamo style trigger in it. (Not very good!!) I installed a Charley-da-Tuna trigger and made it a real shooter. The CBT in the NP2 is a great improvement to this gun, but it is still a little stiff.. I am sure it will improve with time. I also own a Beeman HW97 ALL WEATHER. All of these guns are .177 cal. The HW97 sets the benchmark. Both Benjamin's are shooting in the same class as the HW97 and holding their grouping. I have been seasoning and testing quite a few new pellet rifles for friends of mine, and have had the chance to try many different brand and styles. I am still very impressed with the Benjamins in quality, price and performance.

    Things I would have changed:

The Clean-Break-Trigger is much better than the old one, but is still pretty strong on the break. Hopefully, use and wear on Break-in will improve the trigger break. Other than that--A GREAT BUY AND SHOOTER FOR THE PRICE!!!!

    What others should know:

You can season the barrel on any new gun so that they shoot well right from the start!! Use JB Bore Cleaning Compound and a brass bore brush. This will take out all the machining burrs and the gun will shoot tight groups from the very begining..

    Things I liked:

So far it's on target. Groups are the size of a quarter at 10 yards. Only got 100 pellets through it as Iowa has been in the deep freeze since I received the rifle. Not the advertised FPE but I'm getting 21.9 FPE with Benjamin discovery pellets. 830 fps across the chrony with 14.3 grain pellets.

    Things I would have changed:

So far plastic cone on barrel shroud is holding up and not cracking as earlier models indicated. Although the shroud is metal I would like to see less plastic in critical pressure points such as the barrel to shroud cone arrangement.

    What others should know:

If you get the Benjamin sling that was included on some bundles you may find the attachment to the butt stock nut doesn't want to back out far enough to install. Seems it wasn't threaded quite far enough. Don't despair but with diligence it will back out if you keep turning it in and out half turns. Kinda like making threads with a die. It may take a pair of pliers but will work and functions fine thereafter.

Very fast and hard hitting. Quiet. Very accurate after zeroed in.

    Things I would have changed:

The muzzle brake and shroud will come loose. Same with the scope mount and rings. The recoil isn't much but it can happen.

    What others should know:

Loctite all the screws and you won't have any problems with screws coming loose.

    Things I liked:

This is exactly the rifle I have been looking for. Comfortable, powerful, and well priced. Easy to cock and load which can be a game changer should a follow up shot be necessary. Well balanced and quite comfortable to handle. Perfect weight. Heavy enough to help manage recoil, but light enough to carry hunting. Got the trigger properly adjusted after watching a video linked to the PyramidAir web site. Still trying to master the trigger and recoil after being used to my 300S, but find it to be an excellent field combination. Love the AO scope that came with the enhanced Pyramid package. Look out squirrels!

    Things I would have changed:

While the barrel shroud makes the barrel longer and thus easier to cock, it rotates and comes loose much too easily. The shroud does nothing to abate sound, but it sure looks cool. The sharp edges on the forearm needs to be eased.

    What others should know:

Its getting harder and harder to find places to shoot firearms. Air rifles and pistols offer a challenging and surprisingly satisfying alternative. I grew up with small bore rifle competition but find the task of conquering a springer to be equally challenging.

    Things I liked:

The stock, scope, and shroud. The included sling is a nice bonus. It is accurate out to 20 yds. for me.

    Things I would have changed:

There was a bit of barrel droop.

    What others should know:

This gun has been very good, so far. I have not had a problem with the trigger or the shroud cracking.

    Things I liked:

It was very quiet. Definitely good for backyard shooting, as well as hunting. I haven't taken it out in the woods yet but I'm sure it won't scare the critters off. Very powerful and hard hitting. The scope was outstanding for a bundle deal. Very clear.

    Things I would have changed:

The pistol grip is not adequate for the level of gun this is. It's pretty small. It would probably be a good size for female shooters, however the guns weight still demands a thicker grip. The trigger could use some work but if your'e not picky then it won't be a problem. Other than that, I think the gun is perfect. Especially for the price.

    What others should know:

The guns edges are as as sharp as they look in the pictures. If you like a more contour feel, then keep this in mind before you purchase.

    Things I liked:

This gun has power !! My .177 actually delivers some kick. It's smooth and not too much, just enough to tell you that it is serious power. Crosman Premier 7.9 grain chrono 1024 fps drilling right up to the plastic wrapper on the back side of three Neutrotena soap bars stacked out of their boxes still in the wrappers up against my target holder. The size of the entry hole makes it look like I shot it with a rimfire. The Premier 10.5 grain do 900 fps with less energy and some vintage Silver Jets 8.5 grain do 942 fps again with less energy. The rifle has some heft to it, enough to remind you that it is a "real gun". Cocking is a surprisingly easy, smooth and pleasant experience I did not expect. Starting to love this gun a lot. Not being a scope guy I mounted an ASG laser all the way to the rear where the thumb of my trigger hand can easily work it on and off. The breech is tight and I use a wood dowel stick to seat pellets barely past flush with the surface, seems the right thing to do.

    Things I would have changed:

There are more sharp edges all over the synthetic stock of this gun than any other I have ever handled. I picked up some medium and heavy grit synthetic fingernail salon boards for the upcoming job of de-edging these sharp edges. It's going to be a bigger job than what I've done to all my other air guns but I like the gun so much that I don't mind at all. I haven't taken the shroud off but it did feel a tad loose when I got it and working on unscrewing it I can see that it did start looking like you can remove it by doing so. Instead I just screwed it back on and gave it about three more turns past snug, not wanting to torque it so far so as to damage what looks like a plastic to metal joint. I took one of those thin metallic silver pens that have a ball bearing inside that lets you shake up the innards similar to a can of spray paint and drew a half inch line across the joint along the top of the rifle. So far there has been no more twisting movement of the shroud, it's gone.

    What others should know:

The gun is hawked as being one of the quietest out there. Makes me think most air gun reviewers are already deaf lifetime firearm shooters as this gun hurt my ears on my indoor range the first shot. Now it's ear plugs and happy shooting. Back yard friendly I would not call it but you can get over one thousand fps and 18 ft lbs energy out of it. I call that entry level serious power if all you have is a raccoon or fox that you just need to take one shot for which I think would not disturb any close by neighbors, just not a session of target shooting other than perhaps a few sighting in shots. If you can't do that in less than ten you might need lessons. On my 7 yd indoor range freehand when I'm steady the pellets are trying to go into the same hole, I'm waiting for my neighbors to be gone so I can try 25 yds. My Gamo Fusion is actually louder and harder to cock with Premier 7.9 only doing 800 fps. This gun will become one of my top favorites. The scope looks bright for those wondering.

    Things I liked:

Pyramyds' website and order process is easy for anything airgun. The way this rifle shoots from accuracy to the mounting rail to the Center Point 3x9-40ao scope and sound of the shot is better than expected. I own a few other spring air rifles and a Varmint NP and I no longer enjoy shooting the springers after shooting the NP and NP2 both are 22s. Both are more accurate and smooth shooting guns. I have read many reviews on this website which helped with my decision on this purchase. From the order process to the price to the rifle and combo I don't think you can get any better experience. Get out and shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

The edges of the stock on this rifle were very sharp. This is pbably due to a manufacturing process. If Benjamin/Crosman were to sand these down it would improve the feel of the rifle. I did file off the rough edges with a light file and sand paper and all is good.

    What others should know:

I do not have a meter to test for fps but I think that the stated fps is a bit over stated with standard weight lead pellets but is very accurate and hits very hard all the same. The cocking effort from the NP 1 and the NP 2 do not seem to be much different with over 500 rounds shot in each gun but the extra barrel length on the NP 2 gives more leverage. I'm not selling but if you shot an NP you probably won't go back to a spring power plant. There is no vibration to speak of from the NP. I hope that you find this review useful.

    Things I liked:

This is my first break barrel airgun and I got to say, reading all the reviews here on PA had me worried about this gun. I tried 2 springers and the double recoil was a bit too strong. I tried 3 gas piston break barrels and I liked the recoil much better but trying the Umarex Octane, it was so inaccurate and HEAVY and the recoil was too strong that I couldn't get any accurate shots. I tried artillery hold, a tighter hold on the forearm and nothing made it accurate, even at 15 yards. I looked at the specs of this Benji Trail NP2 and it weighs a bit more than other guns and is rated at similar fps and I was worried how I wouldn't like this gun like the Octane. But I was dead wrong. The balance of this gun is a lot better than octane and the cocking of the gun is a lot easier and smoother. After sighting the 3-9x40AO scope, it shot within a quarter size holes at 20 yards. I shot over 100 shots so far and it's not as quiet as I hoped for. With my iPhone, it read 90 decibels a foot below.

    Things I would have changed:

I would put some iron sights on the barrel when not using a scope. The weight is a bit on the heavy side but not uncontrollably heavy. The upgraded scope (3-9x40AO CenterPoint) is decent but would be nice if it had mil-dots and some illumination.

    What others should know:

The strap for this gun is working well so far. Reading the reviews and how the strap clasp has fallen apart makes me worried it will happen to mine and my gun fall to the concrete floor. I hope it doesn't do that.
