    Things I liked:

Looks good and feels like a quality piece. As far as I can tell everything is tight and strait and fits the way it should. I got the AO upgraded scope. Gun seems accurate. This is my first gun and I was able to get groups of about 2" at 60'+/- right out of the box. Probably sounds terrible, but as much as that target was moving in the scope, I was more the issue than the gun. I expect the gun to be very accurate if I get into a better position where i can support the gun steady instead of holding it free hand. Trigger feels good to me out of the box.

    Things I would have changed:

Iron sights would be nice. I almost didn't buy this gun because I wanted iron sights. It was the free scope upgrade and $15 rebate that won me over. Otherwise that Hatton 95 was my choice.

    What others should know:

I got the .22 version and paid for the 20 for $20 deal. It was nice to get the chrono of my gun. I had them test and sight my gun in with the Crossman Premier Ultra Magnum 14.3g pellets. The first pellet out of the barrel hit 1126fps. Yeah thats right the first pellet actually exceeded the mfg rating with a heavy 14.3g pellet no less. Alas, that was just a one hit wonder. The next pellet was the worse of the group at 789fps. Thats a crazy big difference. The next 8 shots tightened up between 812 and 827fps. The last 10 shots tightened up even more with a range of 819fps - 830fps with most shots between 823 and 830. The average for the last 10 shots was 827fps. Thats a far cry from the advertised 1100fps. But I think its a respectable number for a 14.3g pellet and I am happy with that power. Hopefully it will continue around that range.

    Things I liked:

This new action is a far greater product than a previous NPXL that I owned a year ago. Great value. I was cautioned about accuracy prior to break in. This weapon is just fine with 1" groups at 25 yards in under 50 shots.

    Things I would have changed:

Keep adding value to the trigger for the customer. Quite a bit of travel but a breaks OK.The package includes the sling. With such a heavy front end the sling is out of design to carry load on wide portion.

    Things I liked:

Power, design, and accuracy. This is my fourth air gun and this is superior to the others in every way. It has a very bold look and the optics are excellent. My brother has this model, too, and I played copycat as he is having the time of his life controlling his squirrel population. So far, none have shown up for my first test, but I'm quite sure it's up to the task.

    Things I would have changed:

I'm an old guy and this gun is a bit heavy for me, however, I understand the reason. Also, hard to cock, but know that's related to power, too.

    What others should know:

Know you are getting a quality rifle which will give you years of service.

Received my Benjamin Trail NP2 today!! It feels powerful and operates smoothly. This is my first pellet gun and I am already having a great time with it. The staff at Pyramyd Air were a great help.

    Things I would have changed:

    No complaints

    Things I liked:

The adjustable two-stage trigger is a nice addition to an air gun. The gun has a decent heft but isn't overly heavy. Accuracy is pretty good. At ten yards, off of a rest I was getting nickel-sized groups; I'm sure with a little more practice I can tighten that up. In fairness, though, I've only shot perhaps two dozen shots out of the gun trying to get the scope dialed in and the trigger adjusted. I was pleased with what I've seen so far.

    Things I would have changed:

Add iron sights! The Centerpoint 3-6x40 AO included with the gun is a disappointment. After mounting the scope I could not get it dialed in. At ten yards the Point of Impact was 1-12 inches low and maybe 4 inches left. I ran out of "up" adjustment and was only able to raise the POI about 2 inches. It appears there may have been some small amount of barrel droop but the scope should be able to compensate for that with adjustment. (It couldn't, though.) For "left" adjustment I ran out of adjustment after just a 1/4 turn of the windage dial. I never did get it dialed in. Jerry of Pyramyd Air was very gracious. He explained he doesn't stock that scope since it's provided by Benjamin/Crossman and could only exchange the whole package, Hopefully the next scope (and rifle) will be better. Other things...the barrel shroud rotates when cocking the gun. I don't know if that's by design or if there's some way to tighten it up, but it's a little annoying.

    Things I liked:

EZ to cock. Good overall design. Shoots very well after only 100 pellets. I like the scope upgrade but the adjustment rings are very stiff. Trigger adjustment is a nice feature. I like that the sling attachments are already on the rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

The stock has sharp edges that can cut you. The instruction manual is too generic. My suppressor was loose which led me to realize it was easily removable. I think you should remove it for cleaning. This info should be in the manual.

    What others should know:

Clean the barrel thoroughly before you shoot. I found that the suppressor simply unscrews which for me makes cleaning easier. Spend time breaking it in, adjusting the trigger and learning how to hold this shooter and you wont be disappointed. I got lucky when mounting the scope and nailed it perfectly. First shot with the scope was dead on at 15 yards. This gun can perform far above my shooting abilities but I expect to thin out the squirrel and rabbit population on the farm. My first purchase from Pyramid Air and I am very pleased.

    Things I liked:

I bought this about week ago I have shot 200 rds thru it. The more I shoot it the better it gets. Took me awhile to figure out how to hold it. I was shooting on a varmint rest. Then I started holding it loosely sitting at a table stock easy on shoulder hand under forearm. Had to adjust the trigger to my liking. had to much creep at first. Still breaking the gun in I'm at 25 yds right now using Crossman domes 14.3. after I shoot 500 up I'll experiment with other. I love this gun so far. getting more accurate as I shoot

    Things I would have changed:

    sights on gun, better trigger

    What others should know:

this likes to be held loosely for better accuracy, when held it tight it done terribly. some people wash their pellets why. your washing the graphite off its there for lubricate .

    Things I liked:

I've been waiting to get my hands on this since it was first advertised that it was going to be made..however I live in Michigan and until very recently, I could not order this due to our silly laws. I put 85 rounds through this before I had to go to work and had it sighted at 10 yards within 15 shots. I then moved back to 25 yards and have it pretty close. I am using a UTG 4-16 x scope. I bought the .22 version from Pyramid, but I also have the .177 version in my possesion, and will be returning it. The .22 is a different animal. It's hard hitting and way more accurate than the small and fast .177. Groups are more consistent. It's just more predictable which makes shooting more fun. There are still some stray shots (which may be the ammo), but maybe as I get it broken in, it will settle down. I'm using the Crossman Hollowpoints which seem to do well. I will set up my chrony tester and do some tests with different pellet velocities and groupings soon

    Things I would have changed:

I think accuracy would go up if the trigger was a lot softer. I haven't adjusted mine yet, but will try to experiment with the adjustment screw to find a happy place for it.

    What others should know:

It seems to get easier to cock after shooting for a while. It's fun and cheap to shoot all day versus an actual rim fire rifle.

    Things I liked:

    Good gun in theory..

    Things I would have changed:

I'd stop manufacturing in china. The gun feels good to carry and shoot, but it came with a sight rail that was welded at an angle making the scope useless and this was after the manufacturer sent it with the wrong scope mounts for the included scope.

    What others should know:

Crosman makes garbage anymore. I also purchased a trail np xl .25 and less than a week later rust began showing from under the action. I took care of it, but thats just another sign of using low quality materials in a low quality control environment.

    Things I liked:

I come from a background of Crossman/Benjamin air pump ... and pump .... and pump rifles. This is my first experience with a break barrel rifle and all I can say is that I can cock and load this rifle all day. Furthermore, the rifle seems to have twice the power, range, and accuracy. It's stunningly accurate ... I am shooting about 40 to 90 feet, missing nothing. This is a serious looking piece of equipment. This is not your dad's pellet rifle! I should have purchased something like this years ago. PyramydAir, you got my business because of upgraded scope on this .177 Benjamin Trail NP2 package deal.

    Things I would have changed:

This rifle is big. It's heavy. It has a significant kickback for a pellet rifle (this surprised me the first time!). I am not sure these are negatives, but you should know this is not a toy. It's a tool that does it's job VERY nicely and it's easy to use. It's a touch louder than I would like (but read that this may get better with additional use). My suggestion is to see and hold this rifle before you buy it. With the large bore silencing baffle, this rifle could easily be mistaken for a 12 gauge shot gun. Given the power and accuracy, these items are easily overlooked. It really is an amazing, cool, well built rifle.

    What others should know:

I was disappointed that the box (double boxed actually) was significantly damaged in shipping. The rifle was out of it's shipping confinements and bouncing freely in the box. Ughh. The rifle didn't seem damaged and Pyramyd Air sent out tags for return (and replacement at my request). I kept the rifle and I hope it's okay. I was more concerned about the scope as I am betting the rifle would take a beating. It's built. The scope was inside in a third box so it's probably okay too. But it really does take some of the fun away in buying a beautiful new piece of equipment like this. I wish PyramydAir would have called me rather than just sending out labels to return it. Heavier boxes may be needed, not sure. Other than this, it's hard to beat the deal, upgrade scope, and quick service and shipping that I received with PyramydAir.

    Things I would have changed:

Offer a Wood Stock in 177,dont think theirs one as far as I know?

    What others should know:

Very Solid, well built Air Rifle. VERY ACCURATE with JSB DIABOLO EXACT 177 8.44 gr. Already tried 3 other pellets in this and these are Perfect. Im getting Shots in the same hole very consistently at 27 yards. As far as Power, I shot at 1/4 Plyboard with my Gamo Wisper 177 and this one, using same Pellets. The Benji punched through 98% of the time and Whisper couldnt. Im using that type of comparison because I dont own a Chrony yet.

    Things I liked:

But in rail make mounting scopes very easy. Looks nice.

    Things I would have changed:

Quality control is lacking. As soon as I pulled the rifle out of the box and looked down the rail I could tell the barrel was tilted hard to the left. Probably a 1/4 inch off. Mounted a Bushnell red dot and put a few rounds through it. Shots went 8-12 inches left of center at 10 yds. Returned the rifle and am waiting on a replacement. Will update after I get the new one.

    What others should know:

Grip is small and felt odd in my large hands. Will need to add something to build out the grip. Recoil smacks your face through the stock. Will need to add something soft to the check rest.

Rifle is Thick and Solid looking. Same length as Gamo Whisper. Shroud is Nice. Everything is Great, good looking Rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Well so far I really do like everything, if I had to complain about something it would be Trigger. Not saying its bad, its better than what I have on some of my Rifles right now.

    What others should know:

Received Benji NP2 177 Rifle Wed 9-16-15. Excited to get open, everything looked good. Shroud was loose, tightened that. Put Centerpoint Scope on with loc tite, also put Loc tite on Barrel Stock Screws which by the way already had Blue Loc tite on them from Manufacture which I thought was good sign of quality. Took outside shot, Loc tite wasnt even dry yet, couldnt wait to Shoot it, lol. First Pellet through this Rifle was, Domed, Beeman FTS Field Target 8.64 Grains. These are very accurate in any of my Air Rifles. Shot about Ten Pellets got Scope adjusted with decent groups. Ran a Bore Snake back and fourth about 20 times and Shots tightened up alot. I was shooting at 1/4 inch Plyboard and every Pellet went through. Total Pellets through this Rifle so far is about 25. I do like this Rifle alot im already thinking of buying 22 Cal before the prices go up. I plan on buying Chrony to see what FPS are and I will let you Air gunners know whats up. Love the Rifle very comfortable feeling.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy, consistency, workmanship. This is exactly the hunting air gun for me. I use it daily mostly on garden invaders and rabbits to eat. Retired and living on a fixed income on my 80 acres of family homestead in the middle of the Mojave Desert is a challenge. This air gun is my new partner in my compatition for my vegetable garden and livestock feed. It is doing the job way better than expected.

    Things I would have changed:

I didn't receive the sling with my order. When PyramidAir sent it to me I was very dissapointed with the very leight duty attachment that fastens to the butt of the rifle. With the daily use it will get I don't expect it to last.

    What others should know:

My air rifles up to know have been Sheridan Blue Streaks. They have seen almost daily use since the mid 1970's. I was at the end of the lifespan of my second one. With age, my eyesight was no longer comparable with open sights. I needed something rugged, dependable, accurate and with scope to match. This package is a perfect match for my needs.

    Things I liked:

Unit was shipped on time as estimated via Federal Express. Packaging was good with no damage noted on the shipping box. No damage to the contents was noted. The rifle looked good with no defects or problems noted. Unit had been checked out with the $20 Mount/zero-in Certificate. 20 shots were fired with the highest being 875 FPM using a RWS Hobby 11.9gr pellet --.22 caliber. The finish was good with the plastic stock. the rifle was equipped with a nylon sling which was handy for carrying it on long excursions. Now, the negatives. The trigger pull was terrible. It was the two zone Crossman design common for many different air rifles now on the market. My first Crossman pellet rifle purchased in 1958 had a much better trigger pull. My Crossman Model 66c has a much better trigger assembly and can group 3 shots at 30 meters @ 3/4". The Benj NP2 could only mange grouping with 4 to 5 inch spreads @ 30 meters--with the scope at 9 power. Not very good for a rifle priced @ $250

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger pull was terrible. You would think that after designing air rifles for for 50 plus years that someone could manufacture a trigger assembly that would not be classified as "junk". I know that this rifle will shoot much better if it had a decent trigger. Guess that the "Safety Concerns" and "Law suits" have all of the design Engineers taking the easy path to solve this technical problem.

    What others should know:

Recommendation for the trigger pull problem can be solved by trigger spring replacements, or purchasing after market assemblies which will improve the trigger pull by 5X. A quick search will provide several on the internet. If I had known that most of the popular air rifle manufactures used the same designs with the long-two stage trigger pull arrangement, I would of purchased a scope for my Benjamin Model 66c.

    Things I liked:

First a caveat; I am a first time break barrel air gunner. I've used a Crosman 2100 for rabbit and squirrel control for 20 years, and have been pretty happy with that. This rifle is a whole new world to me. After I received it and mounted the scope, I went out and shot around 20 rounds. I was all over the place, but I got the scoped zeroed well enough to at least proceed. I then stopped shooting. I had to figure out how the heck to fire a rifle like this before I wasted time and created my own ulcer. The recoil on these is very, very odd. I'm used to powder burners and I had never experienced anything like this. I spent a couple of days online at YouTube and here at Airgun Academyreading about springers and air ram pistons. I THEN went back out shooting. I'm glad I did. I was starting to understand the physics about how these rifles work. I was starting to get pretty good groups(occasional flyer)at15-20yds. That being said, I know when I missed it was all about MY hold, and not the gun

    Things I would have changed:

This gun is heavy. Very heavy. I have heard others say, "Well, this is a hunting rifle and that's why". What? In the world of shotguns, a "field gun" i.e. one you hunt with, is lighter than, say, a skeet/trap gun. This would be a very tiresome affair to carry in the field all day to hunt. That said, I am older, so maybe someone in their 20's would think nothing of it. With the scope mounted, this rifle weights just about 9 pounds. That's about the same as my Mossberg 930 auto-loader12g. This is a loud gun. Now, maybe I have not shot it enough (I'm at about 125-150 rounds), but this does not have the crack of the sound barrier, but rather a mechanical "clank" to it. I suppose that is the piston slamming. It's not backyard friendly in my opinion. I actually have moved to indoor shooting until it breaks in. Cocking this is very, very hard. Again, might be me and I hope it loosens up with use, but I can only get to about 20-25 rounds and I have to stop. Between that and recoil, I'm done.

    What others should know:

I would call this a bench rest gun. It's heavy, but seems to be well built and as accurate as the person pulling the trigger. Research and read up on how to hold one of these rifles. It will help your marksmanship. It's actually been very challenging for me, but I like that. I like that you just don't point, look through the scope and get a bullseye every time. Breath control, hold, and trigger control all play a huge part. I'm still getting used to this trigger. The first stage is medium in length, but very mushy and light. Then you get to the second stage that seems very heavy and very short. It is a "clean break" as the name indicates. I know it is adjustable to some extent, but I have not tried that yet. Want to shoot some more. I don't think this would be a good youth gun or a good first break barrel for most. This is my first bb, and I am getting through the learning curve best I can, but honestly at my age I probably should have purchased a PCP gun. I'm keeping this one though.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger, add adjustable butt plate. Loctite on the pivot screw.

    What others should know:

Trigger is easy to work and get better, some polishing of the sears and a lighter spring with a longer adjustment screw with some moly lube makes it super smooth. Get some blue loctite and put it on all the stock bolts and pivot bolt for the barrel and let it sit overnight, same for the scope screws.

Everything. This gun is awesome. Powerful, easy to cock, and accurate. Got the 3x9x40 scope which so far works great. Chrono shows Crosman Premier 14.3 HP's averaging 811 fps, Beeman Silver Bear 12.6 gr avg 854 fps. Both grouped very well out of this rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

    Not a thing.

    What others should know:

Gun stock has a few sharp edges which is easily fixed with a stone or file. The trigger will probably need adjusting to your preference. Again, very easy. A bit louder than I was expecting. Maybe it will quiet down a bit after it's broken in. If you're looking for a mid priced, powerful, and accurate air rifle, I would not hesitate to recommend this gun.
