Looks and feels like the real thing. (magazine is different of course) Got this for my wife to shoot and display. Would make a good display gun.
Things I would have changed:Better way to attach barrel, loose and will not tighten. Accuracy.
What others should know:Horrible accuracy. front sight on this one is too short. Even with rear sight all the way down it still shoots too high, and you can barely see a proper sight picture. Sometimes goes full-auto when co2 runs low. About 3 magazines or so on a cartridge, slow fire. Sent it back, just does not function properly.

Feel, look and how it works. Very fun to shoot and looks so good
Things I would have changed:Like to have it hold more BBs
What others should know:have lots of air tanks and be ready to reload a lot this is a blast

FULL AUTO!!!, puts a smile on my face every time! Accurate enough for casual plinking. The velocity is low enough I can use a cardboard box with a thin wood board at the back to trap the BBs.
Things I would have changed:The slider on the magazine will not stay locked for loading BBs. Not a major issue, as I can hold it with my thumb when loading the magazine. The cap that screws into the mag and holds the CO2 cylinder stripped. The inside section would rotate independent of the outside. Pyramyd air replaced the gun and magazine under warranty. Thank you for the prompt support PA. The barrel on my first one was loose, I had to tighten the single set screw.
What others should know:The authentic design comes with problems. The sights are small and difficult to use. I going to glue a piece of orange weed whacker line to the front sight. The grip is small and not very ergonomic, but did i mention the FULL AUTO MODE!!!!

As far as co2 bb guns go this is my favorite to shoot and to look at. The full metal gives this gun some nice weight to it, and the full auto is a blast to shoot. This was a purchase i do not regret.
Things I would have changed:The coat on the metal scratches easly, the last bbs in semi sometimes will go into full autoby its self, and the barrel is loose.
What others should know:The accuracy is very low. If you are expecting precision you will be disappointed. But the fun fun of shooting this gun in full auto is definitely worth it.

"Everything" doesn't even scratch the surface of how much fun this gun is. The heft is perfect. Feels like the real thing. Full auto is a blast and single fire is consistent in accuracy. This gun even has the slot on the back for attaching a stock. The grips are plastic, but look very close to real wood. Appearance wise, this gun will take your breath away when you first open the box.
Things I would have changed:The gun does shoot high at about 30 feet. I would also like to see the holster/stock offered for sale, preferably in real wood as plastic just won't be the same for the stock, no matter how good a job was done on the grips for this gun.
What others should know:Start buying CO2 in bulk. You're going to burn through a lot with this gun. Get a second magazine, too. You'll be glad you did. I get about 2 magazine loads per CO2 cylinder.
Make sure you hold the gun properly when firing lest the blow-back feature start catching the flesh between your thumb and index finger.
Also, save your beer/soda cans. Hang one from a string in front of a safe backstop and you can ventilate them in no time with this gun. Keep them dancing in single fire or blast the snot out of them on full auto.
If you do not have safety glasses yet, GET THEM. This will put a lot of rounds into the air in an extremely short period of time and BBs ricochet with a vengeance.

Very authenic replica. Weight and design are great.
Things I would have changed:Install the barrel. As others have noted my barrel cover came off. I tried other screws but nothing would hold it in place. I finally wound up super gluing it and it stays on no matter how much I fire this gun.
What others should know:Very accurate, easy trigger pull and balance is very good.

It's very realistic in design and weight. It shoots FAST in auto mode, accurately in single shot mode. The long barrel is a definite plus. There is an authentic holster available from a third party at a reasonable price.
Things I would have changed:The feed mechanism on the magazine. The one I received with the pistol was defective, in that the follower rode up over the line of BBs loaded, resulting in failure to feed more than one BB on the first shot. I had to order another magazine for $30.00 + to keep from having to return the whole gun set (the gun worked fine, only the magazine was defective). When I received the new mag, I was able to see what the defect was in the old mag, and fix it (a machining burr on the follower slot).
What others should know:It really shoots nice, and I enjoy plinking with it.

I have the Legends C96 and now the full auto Legends M712 , now all they need to offer now is the rifle stock and holster to compliment the arsenal. This gun is a must have, seriously badazz !
Things I would have changed:I would not change a thing. Super Hot ! All it needs now is the rifle stock and holster.
What others should know:You will be very well Stoked ! You won't want to put it down.

Realistic look and action , ez to run
Things I would have changed:Put the c.o. in the grip to allow a bigger amo load . Also liten up the weight , little to heavy.
What others should know:Uses up c.o to fast and little hard to reload . It is Fun Fast Rooten Tooten Shooten !!

the grips are nice. they look and feel like wood!!!!!! I like that you can switch from auto to semi auto, the auto mode is a blast!!! this thing rips in auto, has a nice heavy feel to it.
Things I would have changed:unfortunately , like others here, the outer barrel came loose after a few shots. I was able to permently repair it with a little work. it wasn't but a few mags of shooting after that when the magazine would just drop out when I shot. I found it to be a problem with the magazine retainer in the gun(incorporated with the release button). fortunately i'm a machinist and after about 8 hours of work I made a new part made of steel.
What others should know:if you get a good gun- this is a very fun gun to shoot. hold on tight she gets wild!!!

this thing is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! I love the look and feel of this gun and it is just a blast to shoot. I've managed to get up to 4 magazines through on one co2 cartridge which is pretty amazing considering the blowback feature and the rate of fire. the trick is to only shoot 4 shot bursts 3 or 4 times and then drop the magazine and reload it it will drain the co2 in one magazine if you shoot the last BB.
Things I would have changed:this gun is wildly inaccurate even in semi auto mode. It doesn't really matter because its so fun to shoot just make sure you have a large backstop. the magazine spring is a little funky and takes a bit of getting used to but works OK.
What others should know:definitely buy the full auto version. The C 96 would be pretty boring I think.

Weight and blowback action
Things I would have changed:Mag is hard to load
What others should know:I picked this gun up at a local sporting goods store today, WOW!!!!!
The all metal construction and blowback action are excellent. Great replica of a vintage firearm. My wife was wanting one when I saw it here on pyramid, but I was hesitant as its a fair chunk of change for a BB gun. Holding it tho made me certain I needed to add it to the collection!
The beginning of the review vid above is the truth!!! This thing is a HOOT to shoot on full auto. Gonna need to invest in co2!!!!
My only gripe is loading the mag, I suppose that's mostly me not being used to BB gun mags. If that part was easier it would be a tremendous waste of co2!!!!!!
Not all that impressed with accuracy, not that I'm a marksman or anything and in fairness the copperhead BBs have gone to $#!t most of them have craters and divets in them which I'm sure doesn't help things.
Also it does have a good bit of report and recoil, the recoil IMHO is a good thing. The report tho makes it not so backyard friendly.

Great trigger...best trigger since Crosman 600...and I have one. Fast action. Single action single shot is very good. Receiver and body is cast metal not stamped. Whew it's fast...I've never seen anything like it. I use Hornady diamond finish bb's. I don't know if they are the best for this pistol but they sure are better in my little old Daisy Buck squirrel chaser.
Things I would have changed:cork gasket wrap for barrel?...I got a very loose barrel. Longer grub/set screw. Include a wrench for it...I never found the right size allen wrench. The magazine catch looks hard to fix if it goes bad.
What others should know:A small torx bit works moving the set screw but it seems dicey. I wrapped the barrel with a small strip of ordinary aluminum foil glued on with stick form 3-m repositionable glue. Thin copper roofing foil might work. I suppose lock tite might work too but that barrel seems apt to wiggle free. I gently worked the barrel wrapped with tha aluminum foil into the body and cut any excess foil. I torxed the set screw and it seemed stiff. not having the right size allen wrench I stumbled upon a fine 1/2 inch machine nut which actually fit the threads. It was a flathead screw for electrical connections of some sort. I drove it down into the threads about 3/16th inch and there's still about 5/16 inch sticking down and out of the barrel. Looks stupid...but man it's solid. Setscrew is backed up by a larger screw. I'll try and find a better setup but for those who fear losing that set screw....you will never lose it with this setup. Don't slam magazines in, go easy.

Heft and feel is great. Realism is super.
Things I would have changed:A more robust lanyard ring truer to the real deal.
What others should know:Sometimes toward the end of a magazine it will discharge full auto. Semi auto performance is really cool!

The M712 is the most realistic rendition of the M712 I have encountered. The weight and feel leads you to believe that you are firing the real pistol. At 15 feet the accuracy is about 1-1.5" from a rest which is very acceptable. Even if the accuracy was more than that it all makes up for itself when fired at full auto. Firing at full auto brings a smile to all who shoot it.
Things I would have changed:The only thing I would like to see changed would be the slide which is needed to load and hold the bb's. The slide button is small and if you have short thumb nails it could be a little challenging.
What others should know:Make sure to have enough co2 cartridges because you will be going through a lot of them.

This is one cool reproduction! It has great heft and feel. I love the Umarex "Legends" line - have three already, and hope they keep bringing out airguns in the configuration of interesting, classic firearms. The full auto feature on this one is a lot of fun to boot!
Things I would have changed:I wish the magazine was easier to load. My eye-hand coordination is not improving with age!
What others should know:On full auto, a 12-gram CO2 cartridge only lasts for two full magazines, which can be emptied in a second or so each. Not the most economical of airguns - but a heck of a lot cheaper than buying and firing the real thing!

Things I would have changed:Needs to come with two magazines, I had to order a second one.

The pistol feels good in the hand, but the attached barrel is a rather mickey mouse setup..One tiny screw to hold it on.. a joke..!! The brass barrel also becomes an issue... Why is it not machined in.. Again.. Mickey Mouse... The real issue is the magazine... To load BB's, you have to hold down the spring by hand, as the catch will not hold it back.......
Things I would have changed:Barrel...mag..
What others should know:Looks real, and feels very good....

Love this pistol. Shooting on full auto, very cool. Buy plenty of C02, you're not gonna want to run out.
