    Things I liked:

I ordered an Aspen almost two years ago, and although PA annoyed me with messages after it was sent, I chose to wait and provide a valid review for the time I've had it. First of all, it is not very pellet picky at all. Once my barrel was seasoned in, (@500 pellets) it was much more reliable. Anyway, I sight my rifles in at 35yds. I've finally chosen the JSB Hades 15.89 as my go-to pellet. Next choice is the H&N hunter barracuda, 18.21 grain. But like I said, if you're in a pinch and have to shoot pellets from Walmart, this thing will do fine.

    Things I would have changed:

The magazines. The marauder style will eventually fail you. If you're going to buy one search CARM pellet rifle magazines and buy a couple of those magazines. MUCH better satisfaction--AND shooting pattern. Put a spring behind the PCP pump lever locking mechanism, many times I was carrying this and the handle let go.

    What others should know:

Buy it! Don't pay too much attention to the negative reviews. The pump issues these had have been fixed and you'll thoroughly love this gun. It's accurate! I've hit a sparrow sitting on a power line at 80yds. If you're looking for a zombie apocalypse gun, this is it! It is a little on the heavy side, so get a good padded sling if you're going to carry it a while.

    Things I liked:

The Aspen is the only PCP rifle I know of at this time with a self-contained pump. The rifle comes with a single-shot tray and 2 rotary magazines that hold 10 pellets each. Factory sling swivels are a nice touch. The bolt lever is on the right, but it's useable by a lefty (like me). Length of pull, comb height, drop at heel are all good (for me). The Aspen .22 is powerful! I shot the back out of my 3/4" plywood pellet trap and had to add a secondary backstop. I see a rubber mulch trap in my future (thanks for the tip, PA bloggers!). Accuracy so far is great, I'm already getting groups under an inch without really trying. The trigger is the best I've had on any airgun so far.

    Things I would have changed:

A left-hand model would be nice, there's a serious shortage of left-hand guns of all types. So would factory iron sights and a larger air reservoir, though any of these would raise the cost of the gun. It's a little muzzle-heavy, a slimmer barrel shroud could help change this. There was a screw out of the stock (center hole, left side, it was in the box, no biggie, took a few minutes to finagle it in but it's okay now) and the included Allen wrench doesn't fit the air bleed screw, so maybe somewhat tighter quality control.

    What others should know:

I bought a pair of these, and gave one to my brother for Christmas. He's very pleased with his so far. I feel the same about mine. So: Seneca Aspen .22, 25 yards, low power setting, H&N Baracuda 18 domes, Centerpoint 30mm 5 MOA reflex sight, first time out, 0.9" groups after rough sight-in before it got too dark. This is definitely a squirrel & rabbit gun.
My gun shows full at about 65 pumps and runs out after 25 to 30 shots on LOW. This might be a gauge thing but I don't own a HPA gauge. I live about 80' above sea level, which might explain the rapid filling. Pumping effort increases after the 3K mark to maybe 40 lbs. Refilling from 2500 took about 42 pump strokes. 10 shots takes it from 3600 to 3000 PSIG, the next 10 drops it to 2500, another 5 and it ran out, indicating 200 PSIG. The last shot hit about 8-9" low.
All in all, so far this is a great airgun, I'm a happy camper.

    Things I liked:

This Gun is perfect replacement for my Diana .177 , nothing that I dont lIke about my Diana .177 . I owned it too long, accuracy is incredible, but too heavy. I purchased my first Seneca Aspen .25 cal to replace my out date Daina .177. I like Seneca Aspen for it convenient so I do no have to carry a pump, I never had any issues with it , oil lube as required on every moving points including an O ring . I can shot a same bullet hole at thirty yard all day. I just have to learn how to get used to it, before I going out for hunting or target shooting I have to sight in for first ten shots and it good for that day. I had to do that every each time adjusting or sight it in before, and it be good for that day. I really think this gun is well worth a money, if you are looking for accuracy and bang for a bucks this Seneca Aspen is perfect.

    Things I would have changed:

I wish this gun can be better gun, I hopping the Seneca Aspen can improve the barrel so it does not change after it been set for a day after zero in, other then that it is a great air riffle.

    What others should know:

If you like hunting or target shooting, make sure you sights it in every each time, shot a rounds before heading out. I would follow maintenance as recommended, do oil lube all moving points including O rings in pump and loading pin.

    Things I liked:

Shots well and it's quite. Also it has a pump.

    Things I would have changed:

I love this gun. But I would like to see one like this but with bigger tank. I know it would take more pumps to fill but it's worth it. maybe the tank can be relocated to the shoulder stock to save space. This gun is amazing! Although it has a hard time loading slugs in the magazine. Would like it more if it could load them well.

    Things I liked:

That no compressor is needed, the price, great accuracy. The side lever allows quick follow-up shots if needed. The .22 magazine performs flawlessly. JSB 15.89 domed pellets are the most accurate found for it. The gun is surprisingly quiet, plenty for backyard shooting.

    Things I would have changed:

The weight. At 8 lbs, gets it to near 10 lbs with a light and scope. I skeletonised my other one and got it down to 7.1 lbs with a scope. And the redesign looks a lot better.

    What others should know:

Work the pump slowly and stop for a while every 20 pumps, to keep the heat out of the inner pump. Oil the pump every 100 pumps, using the included silicone oil. Use a 18 or so power scope, as this gun has been proven accurate to 60 y. Keep at least 800 lbs in it when stored. I store mine for long periods at 2,600 lbs, and use the gun from that to 1,800 lbs for the flattest trajectory. I highly recommend a Seneca Aspen to shooters.

    Things I liked:

17 pumps to get it halfway into the green zone. another 23 pumps and your in the upper ranges of the green zone. pretty quiet for as fast as it says it throws lead. solid build, pumps pretty easy for me, but im a big dude. my wife who is 5'3" and 115 lbs struggles even when the pressure in the tank is low. once loaded, controls are large enough you can manipulate even with gloves on. still sightingnin, so cannot attest to long range accuracy. had to get 11mm dovetail to weaver/picatinny adapters to mount scope and a laser to riffle( i bought two riffles, both in .25 caliber)

    Things I would have changed:

single shot tray was like one of those metal puzzles to get in and out. rotary magazine wasnt very intuitive either, kept loosing pellets putting it in, loosing pellets loading it.. have to not allow the clear plastic part to go all the way home until your ready to put it into the breach. my airsoft pistol uses a proper metal magazine. works beautifully. been using magazines like that for over a hundred years in diffterent weapons. its proven technology. Figure it out, implement it here. dont go cheap on the things that matter. magazines matter. buttstock is hollow. put slots for magazines and the allen wrench inside, or on the side of the buttstock. built in low profile sights would be nice. scratch that... necessary? include sights. it comes with nothing...

    What others should know:

using benjamin domed pellets (only ones avail in .25 at my local store) will almost exit pressure treated 2x6 at about 20 yards.

    Things I liked:

I like that all you have to do is pump the gun when you need more air and that it is not very hard to pump to fill. Also love the side cocking lever. Love the accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

If the gun can be a bit lighter somehow.

    What others should know:

I would say this is worth the money and on a different level compare to break barrels and similar products to break barrels. You do not need to buy an air tank or an air compressor machine is a big plus but just be ready to pump the gun quite a lot. Not really a gun for bench shooting and plinking but can be done if you want to pump a lot unless you already have an air tanks and air compressor machine to help you refill without having to pump. But the whole point of this gun is so you do not need to have those two things just get air in the gun. All you have to do is pump some. Saves you some money. Most important is do a lot of research about this gun before you buy.

The on board pump is a great feature in the field and has been reliable for me so far

    Things I would have changed:

Instead of high low settings how about a regulator like the air venturi. That's what this really is.

    What others should know:

I've been getting consistent poi out to about 60yrds with 18-21.5 grain pellets if I maintain 3000-2500psi

    Things I would have changed:

Maybe a new air rifle since I doubt this will get fixed

    What others should know:

Great out of the box, put a nice scope on it, and zeroed it in. Let it sit in the corner with some air in the tank, and about a month later, I saw a squirrel that needed to meet Jesus. It wouldnt let me pump up. I would open the handle and I couldn't put the handle back down until I expended all the air in it. Its like the air spilled out into another area and kept the handle from locking back in position. Im sure it was a seal problem but Im not savvy enuff to rip it apart and fix it.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy, low noise level, side lever ease of use for repeat shots, sling swivel studs.

    Things I would have changed:

The pump, which is useless. Easier fill port location; under the pump lever, is just complicated. Onboard fill gauge, which is tiny, near unreadable. No iron sights on the weapon. I like to have them for back up if there is an issue. Magazine which you can't seem to refill unless it is totally empty. If I take one or two shots at a critter, I want to load a full mag for next time; you have to empty the whole mag because of how it's spring powered, before reloading. That you can't load the magazine into the gun without chambering a round. If you just insert the magazine, the side lever arm is extended, you must chamber a round to close the lever arm.

    What others should know:

The pump is not reliable. I purchased this as my first PCP rifle; figuring I could use the onboard pump. Nope. I wasn't even finished one tin of 200 pellets and the rifle was having serious issues. Leaking air, pump sticking open, pump sticking closed. In talking with the manufacturer about a possible repair, they seem to have lots of trouble with this gun if people use the on board pump, and said don't use it unless it's an emergency. I purchased a hand pump rather than a compressor. A few more weeks down the road, this seems 1) have stopped all the problems with the rifle 2) is not as difficult a process as I thought it would be. I am using this as a varmint gun, for which it is effective, but I'm only filling it up once or twice a day. I am adjacent to a farm, but still in an area where noise is a concern. Had I known the pump was useless I would have purchased a differed gun. There is no 'easy way' into the PCP world yet. You just need to get all the gear.

    Things I liked:

When new, it works. Works well when new. Piece of junk actually. Sent in once for warranty and they fixed it. I wasn't spending $60 again in shipping for 2nd time. Tore it apart myself the 2nd time. Im a machinist andhave worked on many more difficult weapons than this prior to this. But this is a total POS! DO NOT spend your hard earned dollars on this! Great concept inall actuallity, BUT, total junk. Bad design to just change a few seals and things are so locktited its not funny.

    Things I would have changed:

Design..... Concept good.... Design BAD! Ive owned this gun for a year or so and been hosed by it to the tune of $400 back then. If it was $25 dollars I would say the same thing!

    What others should know:

Save your money! DO NOT PURCHASE! This thing is born to break down! You will have headaches. No way to find parts. Total fail.

This gun is perfect. Greg helped me decide to get this gun and he was right. It only took 10 shots to put a 5 shot group in the bullseye. GREAT at $300 2 mags no scope but I suggest you get a multi focus multi power for it. I also bought a Hatsan .25 cal break barrel which Greg also helped me pick out. I love the customer service it's second to none. Buy from Pyramyd and you'll be really happy you did

    Things I would have changed:

You have to get used to pumping it up but if you have a tank or compressor that's great. 60 to 80 pumps and your at the 3000 psi range and you get up to 20 shots all very accurate

    What others should know:

It's a big gun not for kids

    Things I liked:

I like the on-board pump feature, you always have air when you need it. The rifle is well made and is low maintenance.

    Things I would have changed:

I would include a T-handle allen wrench that is long enough to reach the set screw that empties the compressed air tank. None of the wrenches included fit the compressed air tank screw. I always like to release the stored air when I put the rifle away and it is aggravating to go find a wrench to fit. Another thing is the scope mounting rails should be picatinny compatible.

    What others should know:

After mounting and zeroing my scope I consistently placed 10 .22 cal pellets in a one inch dot at 25 yards time after time. Trust me you will not be disappointed. You can spend a lot more for other products but if you are looking for overall value for your money spent this is the one for you.

    Things I would have changed:

I have seen several videos online where the onboard pump has failed. It seems that it may be either a design or manufacturing flaw. I hope that this issue has been addressed and corrected. I have had trouble using my hand pump to charge the gun. Not sure whether the problem is with the gun or fitting that came with it, but the fitting does not seem to connect very well when inserted. It has popped out under high pressure.

    What others should know:

Watch the online reviews before you order this gun so you can make an informed decision about buying it. If I knew then what I know now I probably would have ordered a different gun.

    Things I liked:

Accuracy and onboard pump capability eliminating the expensive accessories to support a PCP air gun.

    Things I would have changed:

I would have scored the Aspen at 5, but the pump problems brought it to a 4. Hopefully the warranty repair costs to Air Venturi will encourage them to light a fire under their Chinese manufacturer to engineer and distribute a pump and a pump repair kit that will fix the pump problems once and for all.

    What others should know:

The Aspen is absolutely incredible! The accuracy of this gun is an order of magnitude above anything my 4 springers can achieve. I'm shooting 5 shot 1/4" groups at 25 yards, 3/8" at 50, and even a 3 shot group measuring 5/8" at 80 yards. I chose the JSB 18.13 gr. Jumbo Heavy as my gauge pellet and set the hammer spring to average 860 ft/sec on the high setting zeroing my scope at 15 yards. At low setting I shoot the JSB 13.43 gr. Jumbos and and the Crosman 14.3 gr hollow points and at 25 yards they hit just below where the gage pellet hits on high power. My gun is not pellet picky at all. On low power I've only found 1 pellet that won't shoot well in this gun. I shoot lighter pellets on low and high for targets 25 yards and less. I do not shoot the lighter shuttlecock shaped pellets on high beyond 25 yards because at 900 ft/sec and over they seem to destabilize and spray the target. The 14.3 Crosman HP hits 963 ft/sec. I'd buy an Aspen again despite the pump.

    Things I liked:

Everything! This weapon has it all... and is powerful. The pump action is smooth, but can be a beast to pump 40 times after shooting a few rounds. On the bright side...it keeps you in shape! The magazine works like a dream...just buy 4 or 5 of them. Rapid reload is a must for second or third shot needs...sometimes you just miss the target and need another shot quickly and this gives you that opportunity. Don't let that fool you though...this thing is accurate with the right scope. I have owned this beauty for two years and have no failures. I had to buy another one for my son!

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing.....the price has come down since my purchase ($4000) two years ago!

    What others should know:

Great gun at the price.... no tank or pump required. Have fun!!
