Good looking and feeling rifle but the pump needs work. I pumped my rifle up to 3400 psi two times before the pump broke. It is on it was back to pyramid air they paid for return shipping. They are always great to deal with.

Accuracy is number one. Number two would be ease of pumping.

Picatenny rail instead of Dovetail.

It is imperative that you oil the pump frequently. The manufacturer supplied you with oil because it requires it.

The gun has operated perfect right out of the box. I have shot over 600 pellets and gun has been very accurate. The thing i like best is the onboard pump and how easy it is to pump. If the pump is kept oiled it will work just fine.

I would like to see a larger air cylinder.

For the money this rifle is a good choice and it comes with a year warranty.

It's awesome. Easy to pump and load. Very accurate and quite. Bought it mainly for self defense at home for wife. She doesn't like the sound of the powder burners. We went pop can shooting and she loves it. Not to heavy. Put red dot sight on it and very nice. Take 4 shots and 10 pumps back to full power. Love the look of it too

Don't think would change anything. Maybe put rail on it so don't have to find scope that takes 3/8's dovetail

the hump seizes up after only 500 shots, kept it lubed up and everything but it also is making a hissing noise when pumped and it is impossible to work the pump.

Spend some extra money on a better rifle, it is not worth it. trying to get a refund or fixed and have not heard back.

First one leaked lealy bad, sent it back and thru there Awesome customer care got sent out a new one, had to wait three weeks thru the whole process only because of the China 19 epidemic but I can't say it enough the customer care was "FANTASTIC". I've had the gun for four weeks and ended up spending more moneys on there awesome selection of pellets and am waiting for a New scope. It was pumped up to 2000 psi a week ago and it's still at 2000 psi. Now I know some of you are like it's supposed to hold air and Yes your right but having a leaker at first I am now a happy camper.

Now understand I'm only a month into this investment so I will do a follow-up review in six months or so.

This Seneca Aspen is an excellent shooter at 50 yards and I'm hitting paper out to 100 yards but at 30 yards it's a Tac Driver. Had a 3-9x50 scope on it and am waiting for a new 6-24x50. I Love Love Love this rifle, real easy to pump all the way to 3000 psi. and the hande is f**king awesome out in the field.

This is a tac driver at 50 yards with quarter size spread at 100 yards. Love love love this set up and the handle for carrying around is awesome and works well as a hand prop when shooting.

Maybe fill the stock up with foam so it's not so hollow sounding.

This is my first pcp and will probably be my last and for the money spent I can't complain. Although this is the second one, the first one leaked air badly and an O ring cracked off, I'm thinking maybe it was sitting in a hot spot at the warehouse or was an old one,either way Pyramyd Air's customer care was Awesome and made the exchange without Any Catches other than COVID19 delays with time but that was not there fault. I am a Happy Camper and can't wait to go out and shoot me up some dinner,lol.

Extremely accurate out the box, not too hard to pump allot easier than a hand pump,real nice pellet feed/arm system.

Maybe a little Better pump work at the factory and maybe grease up the O-Rings before packaging.

I asked five different people about the pumping leak problems from the past and they All said it was fixed but I am still two weeks later waiting for the exchange I made five days after recieving my first rifle that LEAKED! Because of covid19 I have to wait longer they say, I am hoping they send me a good one this time because if the second one leaks I will return for a FULL REFUND.....

Awesome air gun did not expect it to be as nice in the hand as it was. Did not take long to zero in the scope, very very accurate rifle at fifteen yards, couldn't wait to get to the range but will have to wait because I got a leaker and am sending it back and because of this COVID 19 bullshit it will probably be a month before I get my new one.

I asked the guy's in the message box five different times how many leakers and every answer was "NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE". So either they were just telling me what I wanted to heir so as to SELL me, I'll never know.

i liked the weight for accuracy hold, it was very accurate (1" or less at 50 yards, pellet dependent), I found it ergonomically comfortable, trigger was very good. The down side is that the pump stopped working in less than 1 tin of pellets. I'm hoping that was just a fluke, when I get the rifle back, I will see what happens

Well balanced and feels easy to shot offhand. Shoots great when it works.

Air charging system, takes 160-200 pumps to fill. Also VERY unreliable and leaks. First one I got didn't hold air long (3-4 minutes) , replacement lasted 3 weeks then would not hold air above 2500 PSI then lost all holding pressure a week later. Problem is a small o-ring. I've replaced it twice (takes about an hour) and it seems to last about a month each repair. I spend more time fixing it than shooting it. Professional repair costs almost as much as the rifle.

According to a notice I received, there is an updated system that works better, It has not for me. I have a new PCP that works great and a pump can fill the non-compressor bill if you are so inclined. Additionally, using a compressor/bottle works good on the Aspen; it you get one, fill it first with the compressor/bottle then maintain it with the pump.

One hole groups with quality pellets, self contained. Comes to the shoulder and points well. Should be a good walking man's rifle in the woods.

Needs sound deadner in the hollow of the buttstock. Its a drum if it gets tapped on. I shoved a piece of packing foam in it with some improvement. The locking mechanism for the pump handle needs improvement. Don't use it as a carry handle! The butt end swivel stud had too much free play and had to be shimmed.

Functions with Benjamin marauder rifle magazines. Be aware of pellet length. I found that some pellets are too long and will malfunction in the magazine.

Sent the first one back, wouldn't pump. 2nd rifle came and shot about 100 shots through it. it shot really good for a couple months.

Something be should done with the pumping mechism, I understand they've upgraded the pump, it leaks and pumps hard even with silicone oil. After shooting for a couple months, about 100 shots. I had to put the rifle up while I battled cancer for 8 mos.. I stored it with about 2000 psi on rifle when stored. Came back to it and the guage shows 0. Won't pump up past 1000 psi, even with more than 100 pumps. Something should be done by pyramid. A recall with the upgraded pump should be put out to all rifles with failed pumping mechanism. This is not an acceptable gun from Pyramyd.. They have too good a name to let this draw them down.

Pyramyd says they've fixed problem with upgraded pump, even refurbished guns have been upgraded. I've bought about a dozen different rifles in last 6 yrs. The one I have is the worst I have encounted. I also can't find a rebuild kit. I expect this from cheap rifles, not for one I paid 399.00. .

The gun feels solid. I really wanted to give it a 5 stars, and will change the rating as soon as I hear back, but I haven't been able to test it, as it doesn't hold air.

Customer response. With the pandemic, their customer service / response seems to be off. I have sent in a few emails asking for an RMA. After a few emails I still don't have an RMA code, and all I have are the response emails saying it is in the queue. Note; I wanted to get the non-functioning gun exchanged, but fear I am past the deadline. With the pandemic I had not gotten a chance to shoot it for a couple of weeks and not I may be past the exchange date. At this point want it fixed. Note I chose PyramydAir as they had the best reputation for service, advice, and reasonable prices.

If you are looking at the Seneca Aspen, I would go with either a Benjamin Maurader (if you have the money) or an Air Venturi Avenger.

It is a cool idea...

The pump is not very efficient.

They say 60 pumps to fill to max but in reality 60 pumps gets you about 800psi. And another 60 pumps to get up to around 1000psi. After that 60 another 60 pumps and you will get close to 2000psi but not quite. Once you get the fill needle into the green it seems to work a little better. But then one ten round mag on low power brings you right to the bottom of the green on the pressure gauge. It is a cool rifle just not as cool as I had hoped. In short I wish I had spent more and just bought a compressor and a different rifle. This one isn't worth it.

So, nothing, let's start by saying, really wanted to LOVE this rifle, sorry, just can't. First copy failed with the bolt jamming with the armature snapping clean in half. It was reasonably accurate at 20 yds but not past that. Second copy, complete trash. Trigger slopped side to side like a loose tooth in a kids mouth about to fall out. Scope parallax adjustment ring mounted 180 degrees off so focused set at 5 yds at 30 yds. Okay was willing to bite the bullet on those 2 issues but less than 200 rnds through guess what? PUMP FAILURE and had only been pumping to 2600 psi as the chronograph showed 2600 - 2300 was the sweet spot for consistent velocity. Oiled with included silicone oil 8 drops every 300 pumps per MFR instructions. Final thoughts, great concept, execution is CHINESE MADE JUNK. Pyramid has been great in the return process and making things right, great company just a bad product. Wanting a good PCP will be coming back to Pyramid for that purchase.

First off, would pay $500 for this rifle if made in USA with solid parts and good quality control/reliability. Supported Pyramid who are an American company by giving them as much business as I could instead of going with Amazon for the same products at lower price points during the Chinese corona virus pandemic. To Josh Ungier the CEO at Pyramid, repatriot your supply chain wherever you can and focus on other more reliable countries than China that produce quality products, America does not want cheap Chinese made unreliable products. We do want reliable quality products and are willing to pay more for them as they will last and serve us better in the long term. These are available from a variety of sources, America, Spain, Turkey, concentrate on quality first, that's a recipe for success and whenever you can support your country in your supply chain and product lines.

Josh Ungier, Pyramid, stop selling the Aspen, it is a prime example of a great concept which is poorly executed. If you purchase this rifle you are literally rolling dice, not a gambler? Then stay away.

Love it in 25 cal! Accurate... Still functions dispite leak... Plenty of power though slower than competitors... Low power is plenty for backyard pesting... PCP pump built-in!

Fix leaky pump and offer solution to current owners... Bigger air cylinder... More power, maybe 950 fps (.25)... Offer in 30 cal... Block double feed...

Started leaking while pumping but stops and holds pressure. The gun still seems to function well. I emailed PA while still within 30 days of purchase to possibly return but got no response.

Its great. I dialed my scope in perfectly. Everything i expected

Not pumping so many times

Gun is extremely accurate. The built in pump function works smoothly & is fairly easy to pump. Gun feels good when shouldering it to fire.

The gun felt really good in hand with nice weight distribution. The trigger felt crisp for the price.

The gun never held a charge of air more then 24 hours so I hope there is some form of change for the air system in the future where it keeps air without leaking.

I would say buy it and try it. There are lots of good reviews out there. This review is for the specific serial number gun I had which I returned. I really wish it didnt leak I really liked the idea.
