Very disappointed the acuslide gear broke after about 50 practice shots.

Have not been able to get it to shoot an accurate group since I bought it 8 weeks ago. Have had it back for service 2x. My old Ten point was more accurate.

I absolutely love my 505. It is very accurate, smooth and fun to shoot. What sold me the most was the decocking feature, to me that means less overall wear with not gaveing to fire it to decock.

Gets shakey past 90 yrds. Speed is incredible. Serving is weak and needs strengthening. Overall great system. Increase accuracy with stiffer arrows.

I have owned and shot many types of bows and crossbows. I am an avid bow hunter (not the occasional weekend hunter) and now only hunt with a crossbow due to my injuries from an accident. I have owned 5 crossbows in the past 15 years and now purchased another one. This is my second TenPoint crossbow. TenPoint is the go to company for crossbow quality, reliability, and excellent customer service. I am happy to say I now own the fastest crossbow made by TenPoint...The Nitro 505. This crossbow has all the features an avid hunter will ever need. You don't need to buy the top model nor the fastest model to be satisfied. Compare the features and quality like I did of the TenPoint models to the "other companies." I am sure you will like their product design and testing that goes into each model. Regardless if you are an occasional hunter or an avid hunter. Why settle for less than you deserve for your hunting experiences will be much more enjoyable when you don't have to worry about your gear.

I just purchased my Nitro 505 due to a shoulder injury, my age, and projected need to hunt deer. I've followed the directions in the "Acuslide Series Owner's Manuel" and practiced with a target that can handle 500 ft. per second bolts. While sighting in my crossbow, one arrow did get buried up to the nock (only one at 20 yards). There's a nice yellow spray-paint spot to remind myself not to shoot in that spot again because I couldn't get it out. I'm not worried about it, I just smiled knowing that the accuracy of this crossbow allows me to not be concerned. As I moved the target out 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 yards, I was impressed at the accuracy in my shooting (as if it were me). It felt like I was shooting a 20 yard shot each time. I've been in the woods and was surprised to use the scope with the green and red light features (first time for me). Wow, green was great in the morning and red in the evening. If only this bow could serve me a cup of coffee, cream and no sugar. I can't wait to get my first deer with this Nitro 505.

I have two other Ten Point Crossbows - one being the first year Ten Point ever sold them. Bought a Nitro 505 at Fin feather Fur. No one at the store went over anything on the bow with me. Got home, there was something wrong with the bow. Returned for a new one.

Fast , Balanced , accurate , quiet and pretty to look at doesn’t get any better than that

Really impressed on speed and accuracy. So easy to cock and de-cock. Only down side is finding a target to stop the arrows before the vanes.

I had a Nitro maybe 4 or 5 years old, didn’t think it get any better, I was wrong. The 505 is an outstanding piece of craftsmanship

Buying this bow is a definite way to spoil yourself. Really like the cranking cocking feature and de-cocking feature.

First rate engineering and production, although the bow is quite heavy. The only issues: The bow is so powerful that it’s difficult to find a target that it will not shoot through. The scope is accurate and easy to use, but its optics are less than stellar. I recommend that you contract Leupold to build you a first rate crossbow scope.

The Nitro 505 is everything advertised. Super fast, well engineered and accurate.

My first crossbow and I decided to go with one of the best. Am impressed with the engineering, components and importantly speed with accuracy. The 505 is fantastic.

The new cocking mechanism is by far better than the old style. I like the rubber coated pistol grip. I am impressed with the cut outs in the front part of the stock where you hold the bow. Over all the bow feels well balanced to me.

The Nitro 505 imo is the top of the line crossbow on the market. I have shot 1” groups with mine at 100 yards with Custom arrows. The bow is Amazingly fast and hits like a freight train. Make sure you invest in the best targets on the market like the Bigshot Kinetic 650.

This thing is a dream to use. Easy to use easy to sight in and deadly accurate. I’ve always shot longbow and recurve but a shoulder injury ended that. An absolute best choice I could have made. Took three shots to sight it in and did a 2” group at 50 yds with the next three bolts. Super pleased in every way

Wow! Top notch Customer Service. After much research I purchased a Nitro 505, I being a old Archery Bow hunter had to cross over because of shoulder damage. Not having any experience and misunderstanding the procedure for cocking and decocking, I over cocked the Crossbow thereby I damaged the cocking system. My fault not TenPoints. I dealt both Michell and Sam both were professional and courteous, in repairing and replacing parts I had damaged. I fully was expecting to pay for whatever parts and labor it took to repair this awesome Nitro 505. Sam called me explaining what they did to replace the damage parts I had created, I asked Sam what I owed them for the repairs. Not only did they repair and replace what was need at no charge, they covered shipping both ways. This company and their employees are GREAT! Shot this 505 with 125 gr. Feild pts 10 shots at 30 yards with a cronograph. Speed ranged from 78.8 to 71.4. Average was 474.8FPS . and the difference was only 7.4 FPS. With 150 gr.feild pts. 10 shots at 30 yards. Shots ranged from 469.6 to 456 FPS average was 461FPS. but the difference was 13.6FPS. I thought that was high. Accuracy was ok but not as good as the CARBON RDX this bow replaced . Give it some more practice and I think the accuracy will get better but I was shooting off sandbags.I was alittle disappointed in the inconsistent speed but I'm not sure if thats normal or not. All in all I give it 4 stars. I guess speed comes with a price.
