Like the looks of the rifle. Its a QB79 With makeup, barrel shroud & adjustable cheek rest.
Things I would have changed:This is my truthful review i don't care who the company is i am hear to help others not a company. If my review offends you o well not hear to sugar coat. Umarex needs to come up with a design of there own makings not a design many of us have done with the QB79 or 78 over the years. Many people have worked hard for many years to improve this rifle one comes to mind and is widely popular is Archer Airguns. The one piece baffle is junk.Out of the box is very loud. With a newly made 5 piece baffle system i made, now the only thing you hear is the hammer after pulling the trigger. The housing that covers the Ninja bottle is a pain to put back on. The bolt as with the QB79 / 78 needs to be polished to get smooth workings. Out of the box the rifle was shooting strings at between 802-823fps with 14.3 pellet. sorry but thats way under the claimed 900fps LEAD Pellets. Again the internals need some TLC, tweaks & mods and you will be shooting at around or over 900fps.
What others should know:I am going to keep the rifle only because my daughter loves the new look of the QB79 / 78. If not for her i would have sent this back in a heart beat. Not saying others will feel the same but thats just me. I have 2 QB one 78 the other 79. Everything on my QB79 is on the Umarex Gauntlet except the barrel shroud and the plastic stock with bottle cover and adjustable cheek rest. Besides that Everything else is the same.

Got the .22 today. Pulled a few patches through the barrel, mounted a scope, shot about 10 test pellets to sight in. Adjusted trigger to about 1 lb 5 oz pull. Actually a pretty good trigger for a $300 rifle! Filled to 3000 and shot 50 rounds of JSB Jumbo 15.89gr through chrono. 1st 4 shots were a little high (834,829,826,829). Next 46 were very good - ave 819, es 16. Filled to 3000 and shot 50 JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.13gr. 1st 3 shots a little high (795,780,783). Next 47 very good - ave 774, es 14. Regulated tank works very well. I was only able to shoot at a distance of 36 feet for the test. The 15.89gr pellets had a 1st 20 shot group making one hole about 0.280" diameter, 2nd 20 shot group had a 0.250" diameter, last 10 had a 0.230" diameter hole. The 18.13gr pellets had a 1st 20shot group hole 0.240" diameter, 2nd 20 shot group had a 0.245" diameter hole, last 10 had a 0.240" diameter hole. Great accuracy. Will test at longer distances soon but I expect great results. 50 good shots.
Things I would have changed:For the price there is nothing I would change. GREAT VALUE for the price! The pressure gauge is very small - it has to be because it is on the air bottle. It is hard to read but gives you a general idea of pressure in the bottle. Used the gauge on my air tank to make sure the 3000 psi was correct. A better stock would increase the price significantly.
What others should know:I bought 3 extra mags. All 4 mags worked flawlessly. They snap in place firmly with a positive click. All easy to load. Work just like the Marauder magazines. Cheek piece is easy to adjust and very solid - no play in it after tightening. I was able to remove the bottle and stock to adjust the trigger a little bit. Trigger is easy to adjust. The manual is very clear and fairly easy to understand. Some of the pictures on the manual are too small so it is hard to see what they are illustrating, but you can figure it out quickly. Re-assembly was also easy. The barrel shroud was a little loose when I unpacked the rifle - just hand tightened and it is fine. Extremely well packed! No chance of damage during shipping. Buy one - you won't be disappointed.

On paper, the rifle has a lot of features. Came packaged very well. Ordered my .22 variant on July 10th and received it on Nov 21st due to the backorder. PyramydAir was awesome during the process and was able to score the rifle on a July 4th sale with a discount and free shipping, can't beat that. Fed into all the media hype and jumped in on this as my first PCP but in the end, I'm pretty disappointed....
Things I would have changed:Overall, the rifle is very poorly finished. My stock has lots of scratches and scuffs on it. The forearm cover fits awful, mainly due to the sling stud being out of alignment. I'll have to do some heating and grinding of the plastic in order to make it fit respectable. The trigger on this rifle is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!. It has an extremely long, soft, spongy pull, with an unpredictable light break, followed by a decent amount of over travel. The reports and reviews of a "match grade adjustable trigger" are completely false. My son's Nerf gun has a better trigger than what was shipped to me. I've tried to adjust it, but there is not way you can fix the long, spongy travel before the break. Accuracy is very good, as published, but the velocity is WAY off. Using 14gr pellets I was only able to muster up 720fps. That's WAY off from the advertised 900fps using lead pellets (it's written right on the box too!!). That power level is not acceptable.
What others should know:Save your money, this rifle is NOT worth it. I fell victim to the media hype. I've got to applaud Umarex and their marketing strategy....they over-inflated the performance of this rifle from all the reviews, hype and YouTube videos...suckered buyers in and ultimately shipped out a poor product that was rushed out the door. The owners manual doesn't match items were shipped to me either. I received a Ninja bottle with a 1250psi reg, while the manual shows an Umarex bottle with a different gauge and the specs list it as 1150psi reg. I assume they "upped" the pressure due to the poor velocity, but clearly in my case, it did not help the Crony numbers. I will be returning mine promptly for a refund.

Price Point Value Accuracy
Things I would have changed:For $299 it is perfect, accurate, light, ease of use/fill, did I mention Accurate? Get that .25 out to market!
What others should know:The few little fit and finish items seem to be corrected that I saw on videos. Mine is tight. ORDER this gun! It is perfect for a beginners PCP and just dang fun for experienced as well. If you like to tinker, this is an excellent platform to go with. You will not be sorry! Bill

Everything, great value, 80 shots on target, one air fill!
Things I would have changed:Better fit on the fore end......but I can live with it :)
What others should know:Nice large bolt handle that is not going to snap off. Very accurate and amazing consistency. I shot 8 10 shot crono strings with one tank of air. String #1 was 823.2 FPS, string #7 was 823.0 FPS between those string 2 was the lowest at 821 FPS and #3 was the fastest @835.9 FPS
I was using cheap Wal-Mart Crossman pellets, unsorted right out of the can. Better pellets would probably give better results. Oh and all those shots went thru a single hole about 3/8" in diameter.

80 shots one hole!
Things I would have changed:Fore stock on mine does not fit well, I can live with it.
What others should know:See my pictures. 80 shots in one hole on one charge. This rifle is a game changer. The trigger gets nice after a couple hundred shots. I love it.
Packaging is first rate, Benjamin needs to look at it. My Benjamin PCP's all suffered some scuffs. This one arrived perfect. Don't buy one. You will hate all your other air rifles. Did I mention 80 good shots with 14.3 grain pellets at 830 fps?

I watch reviews on Youtube and was excited to be getting such and great deal... Video after video "Praising" the gun... Boy did everyone vomit on my parade...
Things I would have changed:This gun is garbage. And after seeing how cheap and easy it is to add a regulator to most guns they, lost the only good thing going for it. Gun felt cheap like it came from the toy department at Wal-mart... Air bottle came loose from factory and couldn't be tightened completely down because then the fill probe would not line up with the grooves in the bottle cover... Shroud on the barrel was also loose from the factory... I tightened it the best I could by hand, However with no set screw its not going to stay tight. Any pressure placed on the barrel caused it to move off alignment...There was no stabilizing rings anywhere down the length of the barrel to keep it secure... Bottle cover itself did not mate up properly and took me 30 minutes to get it back on, which was a manufacturing defect issues. Defect in the molding process created a flaw in the finish on the stock of my gun... Stay away... It's 300.00 for a reason... Because its junk... I didn't even shoot it, I just sent it back
What others should know:I'm a customer here but didn't purchase from this site... I was able to return and I paid the difference to buy a "KRAL punch breaker"
