Description
Built on the tried and true S510 action, the XS TDR (Take-Down Rifle) packs all of the features that small game hunters want into a highly maneuverable and transportable package. Able to break down in seconds, the S510 TDR is built to go anywhere you can. The addition of an internal regulator, means more shots per fill and unparalleled consistency from shot to shot.
The ultra-lightweight stock features a finely grained walnut fore-end with a removable rear stock that fits together to form a compact carbine. For convenient transport, each S510 XS TDR comes with a hard case with custom cut foam that will fit the action with added space to allow a scope, buttstock, and even spaces for magazines and a tin of your favorite pellets.
Each of these rifles is available in .177 and .22 caliber, with two of Air Arms standard ten-shot magazines in each package. Fill up the gun to 250 BAR to achieve speeds as high as 1,035fps. Each S510 XS TDR includes an 5 step adjustable power wheel for finding the ideal balance between long shot strings and power. It's super accurate and super quiet due to a fully-shrouded Lothar Walther barrel with an integrated Q-tec suppressor. Follow up shots are quick and easy with the smooth side lever action. While shooting your first mag, keep your extra ready on hand with a built-in storage compartment on the underside of the cheekpiece. An 11mm dovetail rail is included for mounting optics, and a 2-stage adjustable trigger makes superbly accurate shots within reach.
If you want the world-class quality with premium accuracy only Air Arms can provide, the S510 XS TDR answers the call with a PCP that's built to travel.

10 of 10 Air Arms S510 XS TDR Reviews
Well made overall. I like wood on a rifle- this one has wood and still looks technically advanced. Simple and smooth operation- especially the magazine. I have a Umarex Gauntlet rifle and the magazine on it I think is a pain to operate both in and out of the rifle. The S510 TDR has four things I didn't have on any other rifle I own.....a magazine feed that worked, a smooth cocking mechanism, a sound suppressor, and adjustable power. Oh...and it is very accurate...in my backyard "range" if I get a solid, stable hold, I think I could get all 10 shots from a magazine into a hole less than the size of a dime at 20 yards.
Things I Would Have Changedmake the safety separate from the trigger and more obvious. Because the safety is so small and you have to flip the rifle around to look at it....you have to be a safety conscious person at all times....maybe that is the intended design. My other rifles have automatic safeties that come on when the rifle is cocked. I shoot all kinds of guns....safety conscious shooting is paramount no matter what.....but air rifles have a less vigorous reaction by some regarding their safety....an automatic safety might avoid that one AD that could have been avoided.
What Others Should Knowthe best made, the coolest looking, easiest shooting, most accurate air gun I own......also the most expensive.
Light weight. Same action as my 510 Ultimate.
Things I Would Have ChangedI am looking to add a cheek pad. Wish the moderator was easily user removable. Can not really complain about lower shot count per fill up because the smaller tank is part of the weight reduction.
What Others Should KnowOnly gave it 4 stars for value because I got a really super good price on my Ultimate. In comparison, yes I picked up the TDR on sale but only 10% off the regular low low price. I bought it any way because the dollar is dropping in value vs the pound (AA is made in England, the dollar lost 20% from the time I bought the Ultimate to when I bought the TDR).
Other notes I traded lower weight and number of full power shots going from the Ultimate to the TDR. In other words the TDR is a great walking and carry around field gun, but needs to be filled more often. The Ultimate is a great bench gun, heavy and long (I added an aftermarket DonnyFL moderator).
Excellent ergonomics..beautiful walnut.. Superb accuracy...10 shots@40yds 1/3 the size of a dime with 18.1gr JSBs! Workmanship is top shelf..fit and finish gorgeous! This is a wonderful, light weight hunting airgun that conveniently takes down to a small package that's easily transported to where you're going. A+++
Things I Would Have ChangedThe moderator seems to be permanently attached to the shroud... The manual states there is a thread protector included and that the moderator removes by hand for cleaning and maintenance. There was no thread protector in my package and the moderator appears to be permanently attached! Removal of the moderator is a needed feature...cleaning of the barrel is greatly simplified with it removed. I use the Napier pull through equipment recommended by the manufacturer. With the moderator in place it's much more tedious. If PA lock tights these moderators that should be noted..the thread protector should also be included!
What Others Should KnowThis rifle and all Air Arms airguns use a fill probe for charging. This probe needs a male foster fitting to connect to a bottle, pump or compressor for filling.
In my opinion a $1300 air rifle should include a male foster on the probe.
Everything needed to operate this rifle(with the exception of ammo and a fill source)should in the factory shipping container.
Purchasers should not be required to buy additional parts and accessories in order to enjoy the level of airgun!
With the lockdown on.. shipping times are unusually long...
Fortunately mine was charged to 200bar when it arrived which allowed me to function test, mount optics, and zero.
But now I'm stuck waiting for an adapter for the fill probe(who knows how long) that should have been in the package when it arrived!
With a purchase of this level that shouldn't be the case!

This is an excellent rifle. I bought the regulated model in 22 because I wanted to shorten the stock so my daughter could shoot it. It's also light and points well. As others have noted, the stock is excellent and looks great in walnut. Finally, I like the simplicity of the design. I also own an FX impact that has tons of adjustments. This one has no adjustments other than the power wheel. If you like to tinker, this may not be a good rifle for you.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe manual is ok, but not great. I was not sure I got the regulated model until I tested it with a Chronograph and observed the results. Seem as though the manual covers both models. Additionally, there is no mark on the rifle that indicates that it is regulated. That would be a nice touch to avoid confusion. The finish on the walnut is very thin. I may build it up to give it more depth. If you were to use this on a hunt and it got wet, the wood would absorb the moisture from the rain. Also, the manual indicated that the moderator can be removed, I gripped it tightly with a piece of rubber and could not get it to loosen. These are all minor nits. This is a great rifle.
What Others Should KnowI bought the 16 Grain Air Arms pellets based on the review that Pyramid Air did on youtube. I have an FX Chronograph and with the rifle gassed to 225 bar I got 22 shots that averaged 931 FPS. The Low velocity was 921 FPS and the High Velocity was 939. The Standard Deviation was 4.73 FPS over the 21 shots. After that the regulator started to drop off ending up at 714 FPS on the 39th shot. This rifle will easily deliver 25 full power shots with a full 250 bar charge with very little variation. The regulator inside this rifle is excellent. The shots were done on full power, the last click of the 5 click power wheel.
Quiet, accurate, and not so heavy. Feels good in hand. Carrying case
Things I Would Have ChangedClip seems cumbersome. I got spoiled with the Walther Rekord clip. This is not a deal breaker.
What Others Should KnowIf you are looking for a higher end PCP this one will make you smile.
This is a fantastic rifle. The fit and finish is excellent. The wood is the nicest I have seen on any rifle. The action is very smooth and light. The accuracy is excellent. About half inch groups at twenty-five yards. This while being shot by an old man who is not a good shooter. I know of no better rifle for hunting and casual target shooting.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny.
The rifle is well balanced, quiet (backyard friendly), powerful, and bery accurate with 16gr JSB pellets.
Things I Would Have ChangedAdding a regulator and a longer air resevoir if possible to stablelize/increase shot count. In addition, the magazine idoes not take the pellet in freely. I have to push the pellet in with a small stick or using another pellet head in order to rotate the magazine to the next hole.
What Others Should KnowI have owned 3 Air Arms sofar and a bunch of other high-end air rifles (FX impact .25, Theoben Rapid MK2 .22, Daystake, FX royle .22, Edgun Matador .22, and Brocock Bantam .22). Air Arms is always my favorite rifle. Contact me if you guys want to know more about the TDR.
Excellent accuracy for a .177, it is the funnest rifle I own. The rifle looks amazing, combined with a fit and finish that will please the most critical shooter. See my video review: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WefE30w4_58
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing at all
What Others Should KnowYou can fill this rifle easily using the Hill Pump MK4
I love the design and light weight. I mounted a Hawke Vantage and it makes a nice outfit. The rifle is easy to handle and carry. I have the .22cal and the gun is very accurate.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would have preferred the soft backpack style carry case. I would be more versatile.

Everything but the price tag. Function fit and finish are absolutely fantastic !! VERY accurate, it also works like the proverbial "Swiss watch".
