Ataman is well-known for high quality, exceptional reliability and cutting-edge technologies. A combination of state-of-the-art production, superior materials, and the legendary expertise of Russian gunsmiths stand behind every Ataman rifle. Craftsmanship and excellence is evident in every aspect of this compact rifle from its shrouded Lothar Walther barrel and ergonomic walnut stock, to the adjustable trigger, and lightweight versatility.

The Ataman M2R Type 2 Bullpup Air Rifle features a stunning 4,350 psi (300 BAR) fill pressure, delivering more shooting time between fills. It has smaller dimensions and weight compared to other PCP rifles while maintaining the same accuracy. The bullpup design makes the gun perfect for those that travel or hunt in tight spaces, where a full-sized gun wouldn't maneuver as well. The gun includes an integrated Picatinny mounting rail and features a walnut stock.

The .22 caliber version offers 38 ft. lbs. of shooting energy with up to 45 shots per fill. In .25 caliber, the gun delivers 55 ft. lbs. of energy and 35 shots per fill, while in the .357 caliber version, the bullpup throws out pellets with 144 ft. lbs. of energy with up to 11 shots per fill.

The lockwork trigger mechanism is a two way adjustable, match-grade trigger, which allows the shooter complete freedom to set it up to their liking. The gun also sports a pressure regulator for ultimate shot-to-shot consistency. Whether you fill the aircraft grade aluminum cylinder to 4350 psi/300 BAR or to a lower pressure of your choice, the regulator ensures that the Ataman will make the best use of the available air supply.

This is a beautiful gun with super nice walnut stock ! Solid hitting 357 cal with tremendous knock down power for hunting ! Very accurate with consistent performance!

This is a loud gun ! Im using a Donnyfl suppressor to mitigate noise , probably should be supplied with suppressor or at least keep in mind your neighbors wont appreciate the noise !

This is my second gun in this model , First one started leaking after a tin of pellets, pyramid air stood behind product and promptly refunded my money . However I liked the gun so much I eventually ordered another one and have been pleased so far ! Keep in mind this is a powerful gun no toy so be careful!

Light weight, one inch group at 50 yards, pops through 2x6 with ease. Not to mention it's good looks.

Not a thing.

Mine gets 14 dead on shots, shot 15 drops a half in. at 50 yards. Get a compressor!

I have been shooting airguns since the late 70's and have several Beeman break-barrel rifles and Pistols. I recently started getting back into my airguns in that firearm ammo is so darn expensive and did not have the time to go to a range and shoot, which love to do. A buddy of mine just purchased a PCP rifle from PyramydAir which, of course, led me to the PyramydAir website. I was amazed at what has developed over the years, particularly with PCP! I wanted a bullpup but most were sold out so I figured what the heck and decided to treat myself to the Ataman M2R Bullpup. The workmanship reminds me of a Feinwerkbau match pistol I once owned. The cocking mechanism is silky smooth, the stock is beautiful, and I love the engineering of the magazine. Accuracy is dime size at 30+ yards, impressive. I have already shot over 200 rounds through it with various pellet makes and weight with hopes I can find two or three types that work well and stick with those. Highly recommended.

A short bottom forward stock Picatinny rail would have been nice.

I should have purchased a longer rifle scope rather than a compact. Getting the compact scope rearward enough so my cheek is not resting on the magazine presented a challenge. I may have to get a rifle scope and replace what I have. As you can see, It has a moderator which works very well and I like the way it looks too.

Ataman...I love this gun, bought in .357 cal. I have a others, Benjamin Bulldog, AirForce airguns in various cals and none of them are less than great. I love them all. Its just that now i arrived at my "go-to" airguns and the Ataman MR2 bullpup is real, real good; punches through 2x4's easily, consistent shot accuracy and power. It feels real nice in shooting position. The walnut stock adds class to this gun.

The cocking mechanism is a bit to close to the shoulder but it is very smooth.

I don't know if the MR2 can shoot slugs without a problem, i am betting it can and will comment on that in the future

Good job stealin the guys post for your own use How about next time you go to Benjamin/Bulldog and write your own thoughts...........

As far as I remember It can't shoot slugs that great. 1: I don't recall the mag fitting them and 2: The rifling isn't designed for It. That's why I bought the bulldog and love it. I did like the Kalibrgun Cricket In .357 but that too was pellet finicky and couldnt use slugs. I looked at multiple pcps and bullpup pcps in .357. None came close to checking all the boxes. Like power, accuracy, number of shots, various ammo choices, compactness, ergonomics, ease of use and foster filling, durability and quality. Furthermore, I can't stand that some guns have pressure guages right at the end of the barrel and the bulldogs location of pressure guage and foster fill Is perfetct. I just ordered a Donny fl endcap and moderator. I'm also planning on tuning it and adding some other parts to bring the energy up. My buddy's Is at about 300 ft-lbs right now with mods. Check out pitbull arms , they even have extended reservoirs, and now they are doing shortened down versions.

Very accurate and reasonably quiet for the .25 caliber. The regulator keeps the foot/pounds of energy very consistent. I tested it at 200 bar or 3000psig on the scuba tank for over 20 shots with a five shot average and got dead on 60ft/pound with the 43.2gr.,.25 caliber Seneca hunting pellet. These pellets will not feed through the magazine because they are too long ,they will have to be single loaded. I took the gun off the scuba tank and shot it until the gauge on the gun drop to a 100 bar and velocity fell down to the high 684 to 652 an average of 44ft/lbs. off the regulator at about 1,450 psig. This gun is definitely a hunter for small game. I have not yet tested other pellets but I will see how well it does with light weight pellets. I will also test it at the top end of it's rated charge when I get a high pressure pump that charge to 4300 psig

An adjustable butt plate would be nice and a dust plug for the fill port.

This gun with a short and tight action will be more comfortable for smaller built people than it will for big guys. Red dot sights are the way to go unless you want to do long range shooting with heavier ammo in which case a scope will be the ticket. The gun does have a slight recoil because of the short action

M2R 5.5mm New, it shot 14.3 Crossman H.P. at 1020 fps. Hundreds of shots later it was at 950 fps. The hammer spring adjuster was all the way out. + 1 turn = 1006 fps. +4 turns =1040 fps. That's as far as I turned it. I put it back to +1 and measured 875 fps with Kodiak 21.14 gr. and 936 fps with JSB JUMBO 18.31 gr. It doesn't seem to be pellet fussy. When I'm steady I can make tight groups at 27 Yards and clip off dandylion flowers at 30 yards. The trigger is smooth throughout and very light. I don't have a sound meter, but the report is mild and much quieter than an FX Wildcat. The thud in the pellet trap is impressive. The magazine is expensive but works especially well and will be easy to maintain. Without the magazine it is easy to single feed pellets from either side. Recently I've only been filling it to about 260 Bar, yet it measures little change in fps for 40+ shots. I guess it's a bit heavy to carry but when I raise it up to shoot and tug it into my shoulder it seems much lighter and inspires confidence. I'm fond of it.
