The Athlon Optics Cronus G2 UHD 20-60x86 Spotting Scope delivers stunning and detailed views of far-off targets for impressive performance when scouting and hunting at long distances. It uses an 86mm objective lens with advanced features and a single focus wheel to provide sharp and bright views with excellent color fidelity because of its improved light transmission compared to competing scopes.
The optics system for this spotting scope features UHD glass that helps to greatly reduce chromatic fringe due to dispersion for a well-defined image, as well as ESP dielectric coating that transfers more light to the user's eyes, and an apochromatic lens system that increases contrast and definition. In addition, it uses advanced fully-multicoated lenses and XPL protective coating to better repel contaminants and oil, as well as resisting scratches.
The Athlon Optics Cronus G2 UHD 20-60x86 is waterproof and uses argon purging for superior fog proofing results compared to scopes that use lesser purging materials, and it has a magnesium chassis for added strength and reliability. It uses a BAK4 Porro prism to produce an outstanding image compared to lesser types of glass, which combines with the 20-60X magnification range to offer a spectacular view.
For convenience, this spotting scope can be adapted to fit on a tripod, it has a twist up eyecup and a rotating ring, and features a close focus of 26.2 feet. Optics quality is great. Weight was cumbersome and light gathering could have been better. Overall, easy to learn to use on the first hunt and worked excellent with the tripod. Highly recommended.
Tried out the Ares and Cronus. The clarity along with low light viewing with the Cronus far exceeded the Ares. And for the small price difference it was worth it.
The spotter is awesome. It has the clarity to see 223 hits at 900yards. The focus is smooth, steady and precise. My only complaint is that the caps for both ends are completely useless. They fall off with the slightest touch.
Excellent glass and hangs with spotters well above its MSRP let alone the Expervoice price. Highly recommend
It came very well packaged very clear optics everything rotated smoothly but tire holds adjustments while you are looking through it the only thing I would ask to be added would be some kind of skin type case to protect it while in the field the case they supply is nice for transport but would also like the other cover ether included or available for purchase
saves me a ton of time going down range to check targets. can see groups out to 500 on full zoom. not sure I would recommend for hunting, it isn't light

I use this spotter for hunting and long range shooting in the west. It has clear glass through the entire zoom range, there are other spotting scope I have owned with a price point that cannot do to this.
