Very clear glass for a scope in this price range. Holds up to springer recoil. Parallax adjustment is perfect for an air rifle. Adjustments are tight, and hold well. An excellent and affordable all-purpose airgun scope.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot a thing.
What Others Should KnowThis is my first Hawke product, and I'm very pleased with it. It's the perfect scope for my Weihrauch HW50S. Lightweight yet very durable, and holds a zero perfectly. A great value for the money.
I just bought a Diana Chaser, I wanted something small to match the gun so I tried this and I'm glad I did. It's the perfect size from a smaller air rifle or pistol with rifle stock (22xx,13xx,880, etc.). I'm use to my UTG 3-12x44/30mm Compact so this is a change to say the least. The glass isn't as clear as my UTG but its close and a lot lighter/more compact. I think It might be my new favorite if it holds up.
Things I Would Have Changednothing really
What Others Should KnowThe parallax is off by a little bit which is common at this price point. Always check your parallax yourself. 1) set the AO at the range you think you're sitting at. 2)keep the rifle still. 3) look at your target and move your head around a little bit. If the crosshairs move then the AO(parallax) isn't set at the right range. This does not mean you have a bad scope. It means the distance markings are a little off or you're not at the distance you think you are. I haven't had a sub $200 yet that hasn't been off by a little bit.
Huge fan of Hawke scopes. Great value.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing really that i can think of.
What Others Should KnowReally is a great scope for those of us that do pesting under 50 yards and want lighter weight scopes.
nice clear glass good dots
Things I Would Have Changedgreat for this price
What Others Should Knowbuy it
Very nice scope
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
an adequate well made scope for my Diana model 52. it is specific for air gun use, so it should work well. easy to finger twist adjusters under the caps.
Things I Would Have Changednothing, it does what it does well.
What Others Should Knowget high mounts, use a one piece mount if gun and rail permit. if money is no object, a lighted reticle scope is better to have if you shoot black targets.
Size,clarity and easy to use.
Things I Would Have ChangedNone
What Others Should KnowWaste of money to have scope mounted. Eye relief varies per user.
Focus is good
Things I Would Have ChangedField of eye is not good. Eye position has to be just right otherwise black edges/spots fill the scope. Its not good.
What Others Should KnowDont buy
Love the recticle. Its tuff. Holds zero. Couple thousand rounds on a hatsan .30 cal model 135 w/ the ram filled to 165 bar. Had it on sumatra, eagle claw, dragon claw too which are much recoil friendly compared to my 135's
Things I Would Have ChangedTurrents are tight. AO has a 'grindy' feeling when twisting it and ive tried 'breaking them in' by turning them back/forth many times. From front to back all adjustments are really tight and hard to turn
What Others Should KnowIts a decent scope. ! paid too much for mine...the price has came down since. I actually like my utg's better. I got 6 diff hawke products. Red dots, open reflex etc. For this price ya cant get hurt. My fingers are mangled and im missing 2...1 of them being what was once my trigger finger, so i cant be too hard on the scope. But my utg' are > mangled finger friendly. For those w/ 10 fingers left it'd probably be more fitting. I foundt it to be a zero it and leave it be kinda scope. If one is swapping it back/forth from one rifle to another, diff ammo etc...its kinda a pain. I think if my bull dog chewed on it ...it would still work...its tuff
