Barnett Tactical Crank Cocking Device (CCD)

I’ve used this device for a couple of years and really hate it, especially in comparison to the Accudraw.
1. It doesn’t stay on the stock securely
2. Double rope pulls system reduces effort but if you’re in low light it’s easy to tangle
3. There is no good way to store the sled ropes/hooks while leaving the device on the stock
4. The locking component to prevent backward movement when cocking can be nearly impossible to disengage after the rope is cocked.

The string on the cocking device broke the very first time using it.

It turns off the safety on the hypertac 420 anytime you cock the bow and remove the hooks. Someone is going to get shot and sue you for all of the money. So stupid. Plus it’s loud, clunky, falls off if you try to leave it attached to the bow (no retaining bolt or anything of the like?!?!). To top it off it’s more difficult to use this than the rope. Terrible products.

The hook hook holders break so easy and they’re integrated into the whole unit, so if they break you need to buy a whole new cracking device. The hook holders of the other units are separate so if they break, it’s much cheaper to replace

The item is not robust. It broke and required repair during the first shot. Installation instructions are poor. I would have returned it but I was recovering from open heart surgery and couldn’t pull. Very disappointed.

The string is too short, does not reach the string.
