BearX Constrictor Crossbow

This thing was an upgrade from an older and slower crossbow. It is so much faster and I have taken deer with it. However, I have now had two cocking ropes malfunction. Most recently, was all set to hunt in the early morning after driving 2 and a half hours only to have the plastic break. Couldn't cock the bow and my hunt didn't happen. Very disappointed.

I bought the Constrictor and im impressed with what I consider the most accurate bow ive ever imagined. Time after time with 1.2 inch spread at 30yds. I have complete confidence my shot is dead-on first time everytime. The only issue i had was the serving wasnt quite up to par but hasnt been an issue so far.

Bought this as my first crossbow for my archery season. After taken a 20-year break from the sport I knew Bear is what I wanted to shoot for my budget. So with much research I did I knew the Constrictor was the crossbow I wanted to try. So far been super happy with the bow but for the guys saying the limbs are breaking. Don't use the stock bolts. I moved up to the Pile Drivers and yet to see any issues. I think the stock bolts are way to light for the speed of this bow. So going to a heavier bolt is the way to go.

I bought this crossbow and took off most of October. Well my limbs broke 3 times in a 5 week span. Was replaced with new constrictor and those limbs broke within a week. Now it's getting near end of bow and It's been a mess. Countless hours at range and hundreds of extra dollars spent at local shop to fix limbs. Waste of money, time and now my archery season.

I bought the crossbow 2 weeks ago, shot 10 arrows out siting it in .. climb in the stand with a 195 in the plot and the limb shatters just as im eyeing the shot, on opening day of bow seaon!

Very fast accurate x-bow. Having trouble pulling bolts from targets due to the deep penetration but that’s a good thing .

I bought this bow to replace a cheaper bow I bought last year as I wanted a faster more powerful bow. This Constrictor was a huge upgrade. It’s fast and super accurate and I read all the reviews and watched all the videos. The scope is 4 power and works well on this bow perfect for hunting and no need to swap it. I don’t plan on shooting at any deer beyond 50 or 60 yards so the scope is fine for that. I tried different arrows and the point of impact does differ so you will want to stick with the recommended bear x bolts they will group very well. The adjustable stock works well and nice to have the ability to adjust it to the coat you are wearing. Overall this is a great bow ! There is nothing else you need except for more arrows and some good broad heads.

This review is on behalf of my dad. He bought a CDX about a year ago and has shot it maybe 100-120 times. We had a South Dakota trip booked and it busted 9 days before we left. This crossbow was constantly waxed and left in the house in its case in perfect conditions to keep it from damaging. At the time it busted he went out and bought a brand new one which we sighted in and shot about 30 times max. He calls me from the stand and sends a pic of the limbs snapped completely in half as deer are piling in the field…..it’s day 3 and now his hunt is over mid way through. 2 crossbows with the same damage???? TRASH DO NOT BUY WHATSOEVER. Is it possible to leave a -4 star review?
