Finish is nice.
Things I would have changed:Steel is too heavy imo, go with aluminum.
What others should know:Check out the Apex Muzzle Weights at Air Rifle Headquarters, Aluminum, nice finish, end cap finished, no filing needed on a RWS 34. Perfect.

Fits the rws 34 nicely, fine finish
Things I would have changed:The muzzle end is just open, the crown is still exposed and the dove tail shows which I didn't like, so i was able to hide by making a cap out of a washer.
What others should know:It's a bit pricey for what you get, but with the cap I made for the open end it now looks quite nice Imo.

Unit looks very good and matches the R1 finish. Machined out of steel, not aluminum.
Things I would have changed:I would make it with larger allen grub screws. These did not fit the metric or the US standard allen wrenches very well and they were small. I drilled and tapped mine to fit a #8x36 NF grub screw. That fixed the allen wrench fit problem and gave me the advantage of putting it on much tighter than with the supplied screws.
What others should know:If you are buying this for a R1, be ready to remove some metal, and reblue or cold blue the top of the front of the barrel where it must be filed. Also, be sure to file the inside of the unit, where the screw holes are, with a small, flexible Swiss file. This will remove the burrs from drilling and tapping the grub screw holes. The fit is so good that even that small amount of metal will bind up the brake when you install it. True, it does not have an end to it - it is just an open hole. However, I installed mine to match the curve of the end of the barrel, and I like the way it looks, as it is a very tight fit and it doesn't show that much. This was not a 5 minute install job, and I had to go through a lot of trouble - but the appearance is worth the effort.
