'Captain America. Savage. This shield is more fun to wield than most of my weapons.
An absolute blast to play with in SCA rattan combat. VERY sturdy, grip feels great, and takes quite a beating with minimal nicking, scratching, or denting. The weight feels good enough to deflect the incoming blows, but not so heavy as to feel overly heavy.
Fabulous shield/Targe. Very heavy duty. I think it could probably absorb quite a few blows from a real sword. I use it for training and solo movements and it is the perfect weight and size. Highly recommended.

I bought it for SCA combat, small shield practice. It's a perfect size to transition from a heater shield with the intent to possibly continue reducing size to a buckler... or not. This is a nice size to help sharpen the defense, and it's fun. Robust enough for the power shots while lighweight enough to wield center grip easily.
