This real is perfect. I was able to use it on my old bow and now I might be hooked on bowfishing! Works great and allows me to get more shots out with less time between retrievals. Reeling in fish is a breeze!
I purchased this bow about 3 months ago and was disappointed after 4th time of using this bow, the winch pro reel feed ramp was somehow damaged, it has a burr in the mouth of the feed ramp, and wont allow the line to feed back into the bottle every time. the feed ramp is made of plastic and is not easily repaired.
Reel is basically unusable for fish of any size. Anything bigger than a small sucker you’re better off hand lining the fish in and just reeling up the slack. Brake doesn’t help much. Not worth the money
Great product, great customer support (Casey), and they HAVE replacement parts. I had a few issues, so I called their customer support and they were able to support me with replacement parts. Ive owned several different reels and have received the same treatment from their support techs. Like anything else, you get sand and dirt in anything, you better learn how to disassemble your device and perform basic maintenance and lubrication if you wish for your investment to last...
I've had this reel for about a year , and it was great for the first little while.. but they don't hold up.. I wouldn't be as annoyed if they sold replacement parts , or so to speak rebuild kits for them. But u like ams they don't sell parts.. love there bows and other products but I would recommend AMS reels over this one any day of the week..
I hooked on to a big gator gar first use and the rubber wheel on the inside burned out to where it would spool in line anymore...... your better off using your hands to reel in a fish than this product......
Had it for about 6 months before parts just wore out on multiple spots on the reel went to look for replacements none available.
I had this reel for 3 weeks. Loved it when it worked but once the wheel wears out it won't reel the line in. I've had AMS reels now for 5 years and never had to replace any parts yet. But if I had to, they got the parts to do so on their site.
Been using this reel all summer and I loved it, that’s till the big black rubber wheel developed a groove in it from the string rubbing against it, so now if the string is in the groove it won’t reel it in, and I don’t know how to get a replacement for it.

I hate having to hold a handle while trying to reel. The fact that this can be reeled in without having to hold a handle in at the same time is awesome! Built well and holds up good I love my winch pro!
