Description

This lightweight, compact BB gun will make a good training rifle and fun go-to gun for young shooters or anyone learning the ropes about gun handling.

Use only steel BBs in this gun and always wear safety glasses. In fact, everyone in the range area should wear safety glasses. Remember to remove all pets from the shooting area, as they may become excited. Plus, steel BBs can ricochet and could bounce back and hit them. Never shoot steel BBs at hard objects (metal plates, falling plates, etc.) or water, as both increase the chances of ricochet.

Very efficient in terms of CO2 consumption. Light Weight. Low noise. Accurate enough (roughly on par with Red Ryder). Overall makes for a perfect backyard plinker. Would highly recommend

If they offered this with a real wood stock, I'd pay twice or triple for it

This thing is so much fun! I found one locally and it's more or less a semi auto Red Ryder. Easy to cooperate. I got about 300 shots out of one co2. Not bad! Florida heat helps with that.

Trigger is double action so it's a little stiff but I'm not complaining.

I'm going to order a few more of these in case they stop making them.

Very light to hold, very quiet--maybe a 2, easy to load CO2, accurate for a BB gun, and I put a Tasco 3-7x20 scope on it with no trouble, and PA sells it for $45 with the discount.

Nothing, it's a great BB rifle.

I shoot in my garage. The gun shoots as fast as you can pull the trigger, and it tears out the bullseye at 16--30 feet. Fun gun! If you keep the load in the main magazine to about 100 BBs, it shakes into the secondary feed much easier. Practice helps too.

For a bb gun this gun is accurate. Co2 loads easily and you can almost empty the reservoir on one co2 cartridge. Iron sights were right on out of the box. No bounce like a spring bb gun.

Nothing

This is the most quiet co2 gun I have ever shot Sound rating should be a low 2! Trigger is quite good for this price bb gun.

Weight, size, easy to sight, quiet, great accuracy. This gun is fun to shoulder and shoot. You can squeeze off round after round quickly. It has a llll-ong trigger pull BUT there is a click as the bb loads into the chamber just before firing so you can use this characteristic in getting accostumed to the gun.

The rear sight needs to be beefed up. Move the bb loading port to the side (instead of the bottom of the gun) to eliminate banging around the sights on the table while loading.

I rejected the Daisy 25 and the Crosman M-177 due to inaccuracy with BBs. This one does not disappoint. It compares favorably against my RedRyder and Umarex NXG (which are both good). The 74 seems a bit more accurate, more on that in the spring. It's not easy to find an inexpensive gun that does well with BBs. This one does, good job Daisy! Many thanks to Pyramid for putting up with me as I went through the process.

CLEAN THE BARREL ! Works for me. Some BBs are dirty little little buggers. Makes the barrel dirty after shooting a bunch. A dirty barrel bore seldom produces accuracy .

Anthony Mar 31, 2016

Try spacing your shots a bit, like 10-15 seconds between. Works for me.

Sep 4, 2015. For some reason I can't figure, after about a hundred shoots this gun started to lose accuracy. Comparing target sheets from the first days with later ones, the scatter increased significantly and has stayed the same since. It is still fun to squeeze off a bunch of shots quickly but the thrill of getting tight groups is gone. Give it 3-4 stars for accuracy, we don't seem to use it very much anymore. AAJ

how fast delivery is

Mike you are missing out on a nice gun, especially for the money.

Anthony Mar 26, 2016

I scoped mine with no problem. No work involved. I used a Tasco 3-7X20 on it, and it bolted right on. Plenty of clearance for the rear sight. The Daisy scope also fits. So does the UTB dovetail to Weaver adapter, no problem at all. But all this little rifle needs is a 4X15 or so, and you will be happy. The dovetail plastic is very strong. Really nice little gun.

Bob M Feb 11, 2015

With a little work you can add a scope. Gently file down any high or uneven spots on the plastic Dovetail mount, avoiding the edge as much as you can. This will enable a better Dovetail engagement. The plastic is too soft to a hold regular set of rings and would probably just snap off however a full length Dovetail to Weaver adapter like the one from UTG for under $10.00 works just fine as long as you don't beat the gun up. It worked for me. I'm not sure about other adapters or long one piece ring mounts because the dovetail may not be to specifications for every other mount to clamp down tight.

No scope, no sale as i am looking for a bug buster.

FUN! It's a lot quieter than my Marauder, slightly quieter than my Avanti 747, and only slightly louder than my Daisy 25 and Red Ryder! It is VERY QUIET. P.A. needs to change the sound rating to 2, perhaps even 1. It's so light you hardly can tell it is in your hands; it loads VERY easily with a huge capacity in the reservoir, and the internal magazine (15 or maybe slightly more BBs) fills quickly with a few shakes of the gun. CO2 loads easily, and it is easy to put your Pellgun oil drop on the piercing pin / seal assembly if you prefer that to putting it on the CO2 cartridge tip (I do). I don't know yet how many shots per 12 CO2 grams of one can expect, but this gun shoots no more than 350 fps, probably more like 300 fps, maybe even more like 275. (P.A. should chrony it.) So you'd probably lose the shot count before 12 grams of CO2 runs out. Sights are simple, and out of the box mine shot to the point of aim (and pretty accurately for a BB gun) at 20 feet, and I was using Copperheads, not Avantis or anything fancy. It's so much fun to just squeeze and squeeze the trigger, I probably did let it get a bit cold, although I shot it at 70 (F) degrees in my BB-friendly (pizza boxes filled with newspaper) basement range. Remember ricochets. Kid, this'll put yer eye out if you don't use safety glasses and shoot only at soft objects. If this gun has you curious, get it! It's kinda like the old Crosman 500 but lighter duty.

Do NOT make it all metal because that would raise the price! The trigger is a slightly heavy and a bit creepy because it is clearly doing some of the mechanical work of cocking the gun and putting the next BB in position for launch. It IS a wide blade trigger; however, and the longish pull and bit of weight make it safer for kids to shoot.

All plastic. Hey, it's less than fifty bucks! What do you want? This gun is about fun, and for the price, it just might be the most fun air gun of any sort that I have seen for years. A word of caution: if you are a parent of a young child, be right there all the time because this is so quiet and so much easy gun-fun that somebody could get permanently hurt without Dad or Mom keeping a constant eye on the little one's trigger finger. The gun is cheap and is probably good for a few thousand rounds before it needs to go to the curb and be replaced with a new fifty dollar Daisy 74. If that is not enough value for the dollar for you, then you should probably look at the Model 105 Jones, but it'll not be nearly as big a riot in the backyard. Pull trigger, shoot; pull trigger, shoot; pull trigger, shoot. If that makes sense to you, this is just the toy for you (yes, YOU, Dad).
