Like many FX airgun models, the Crown series can be changed to suit the user in a wide variety of ways. One of the most appealing is their ability to quickly and easily switch between various calibers. These Caliber Change Kits allow you to do just that! If you bought a Crown in .22 caliber, and now you want a .30 caliber gun, all you need is the Caliber Change Kit and a magazine (sold separately.) No longer do you need multiple guns to accomplish your airgunning goals. One gun and a few of these kits are all you need!
The Superlight STX barrel upgrade, which weighs in around a half-pound lighter than the original STX barrels, uses a newly engineered and imagined barrel housing to hold the STX liner. The liner is no longer housed in a long steel tube, but rather is now placed in a very sturdy barrel attachment section that results in a more rigid barrel. Including an STX barrel liner, shroud and pellet probe, these Caliber-Change Kits are easy to install by the end-user. They do require some alterations to your rifles settings, but this can be easily achieved thanks to the various external power adjustments that are standard on the Crown series.

Lighter, easier to get around in hunting situation, much more rigid than the 700mm factory barrel.
Things I Would Have ChangedI had to make a separate order from a different retailer to purchase a moderator to go with the barrel ..... It would've been nice to be able to purchase both items in the same order.
What Others Should KnowOne must realize that you will be giving up some velocity and energy switching to the shorter barrel.....So putting in some time shooting over the chrono and dialing in the trajectory is a must ...

FX is all about precision machining of their products. Their FX Crown MK II barrel sets are no exception. After cleaning the barrel liner with a pull through patch carrier I installed to barrel and pellet probe on my Crown MK II. Installation is very simple, loosen four screws with a hex wrench, pull out the barrel and put the new barrel in its place, gently tighten the four screws that hold the barrel in place making sure the barrel is indexed properly. Remove the screws holding the pellet probe and remove the probe. Install the pellet probe matching the new barrel and replace and tighten gently the pellet probe retaining screw. Very easy and well thought out procedure. I was looking for a hard hitting easy handling pellet rifle which this .30 caliber 380mm barrel allows.
Things I Would Have ChangedJust make the optional barrels easier to get. Supply and demand is so messed up right now it is very difficult to get exactly what you want.
What Others Should KnowThe FX Crown MK II is a fantastic airgun platform. The airgun is exceptionally accurate if you are up to the challenge. You can not control the wind or your own shooting ability but you can depend on the FX Crown MK II to deliver shot after shot consistency. They are not cheap but nothing of this kind of quality ever is. That is why owning one is so nice. The FX Crown MK II, you will not be disappointed.
