Since its introduction, the FX Crown has sat comfortably atop the throne that overlooks the airgun world. This feature-rich sporting rifle has sleek looks and staggering performance numbers that captivate competitive shooters, casual plinkers and hunters alike. The adjustable AMP regulator, Superlight STX barrel system, external hammer spring adjustment and transfer port adjustment make the Crown one of the most customizable rifles on the market, and that's not even half of the interesting features you'll find on this PCP.
Housed within the barrel shroud, you'll find the latest-production Superlight STX barrel, which weighs in about a half-pound lighter than the previous versions, yet offers increased rigidity and enhanced performance. The flagship barrel from FX allows the user to not only change calibers on the same rifle with the appropriate caliber change kit but also allows for different liners to be used in the same caliber to provide enhanced performance with specific ammo.
Fill the rifle to the 250 BAR (3,625 PSI) max, and you'll enjoy long and consistent shot strings from the 480cc Carbon Fiber air cylinder. The two-stage, match grade trigger is fully adjustable, along with the rubber buttpad at the back of the stock. Speaking of the stock, there are a plethora of stock options to choose from. Simply mount the scope of your choice onto the integrated Picatinny rail and hit the range! It won't take long for you to understand why the Crown sits upon the airgun throne.

How tall do the scope rings need to be to clear the mag? I currently have vortex rings that to the center of the ring is 1.22 inches, will this be enough?
Will it invalidate my warranty if I drill the stock out so I can attach a bipod?
When will the Crown be available equipped with the Superior STX liner?
The Crown already comes with the STX barrel. Superlight Smooth Twist X (STX) barrel offers more rigidity, yet is about -pound lighter than previous version.

I have the new Crown Mark2 .22 cal 500mm barrel with synthetic stock rifle. This gun is true FX quality all the way. It's lightweight and shoots like a dream. At 19 yds. it's hole in a hole for 15 shots. FX USA customer support is superior to talk with and very knowledgeable, whether by email or phone. If they can't answer your question they'll find it for you. This is one fine gun that is true to FX's high quality design engineering and fabrication. I also find the moderator makes this gun shoot very, very quiet; the pellet hitting the target makes more noise than my gun shooting it. Even with my findings stated below I would still purchase this gun again, but without the disappointment of it not performing to what I expected from the advertising. Love this gun!!!
Things I would have changed:The Factory needs to correct the discrepancy between their advertised velocities/pellet weight and what the gun is actually set up and tuned to shoot. This is misleading as I purchased my gun to hunt with using the 25.39 gr pellets at the higher velocities and energy as advertised.
What others should know:For what this gun was setup and tuned for at the factory it shoots perfect out of the box. The Factory setup and tuning is 880 fps using the JSB 18.13 gr pellets - not the 25.39 gr pellets!! My average velocity using JSB 18.13 gr. pellets is 894 fps which is perfectly within factory setup and tuning. Using the JSB 25.39 gr pellets (as advertised) the max I was able to get was 773 fps average not the 950 fps (as advertised)! One other note, out of the box Reg pressure is 110bar, the Front Power and the Rear Power adjuster settings are both on MAX. That's the fastest it will shoot! Increasing the regulator pressure only results in the fps going down because the hammer/spring cannot open the valve enough to let in more air. The only way to get the higher maximum velocities is the gun WILL have to be modified. My disappointment can help you with a happy decision. Remember, the Mark2 is a brand new gun and not much information out there yet. I'm still a happy camper.
