Description
Your world is about to change! The Galatian air rifle has magazines with about 50% more rounds than most other precharged pneumatic hunting rifles. What does that do for you? It means you can load up a whole bunch of rounds before leaving home and not have to carry pellet tins with you. It means you can hunt more efficiently because you're not stopping so often to reload.
Hastan air rifles have been well-received by airgunners because their quality is so good. If you want a solid PCP rifle that delivers shot after shot with power and authority, the Galatian air rifle should be No. 1 on your list. The beautiful walnut stock will immediately impress you...but the accuracy will exceed your expectations as every pellet finds the 10-ring on your target.

6 of 6 Hatsan Galatian Walnut Reviews
I have a really nice line up of air rifles, including the much touted big bores which do live up to their hype for the most part, and for hunting from a steady position get the job done. However, I think out of all my marquee rifles...my Galatian may be my favorite gun. It is beautifully made. Really nice to the shoulder. Shoots a .25 cal HARD and amazingly consistent. For a sidelever gun, this one doesn''t budge when you re-index of which thank G-d is flawless. I hate to say it, but this indeed the tack driver so often spoken of. Maybe before you spend that 1k, you should look at a Galatian. Then you can buy a nice scope for it. Way to go Hatsan.
What Others Should KnowIf they could use this same geometry and come up with a .357, wowl
Beautiful, beautiful gun. Easy to cycle, high capacity magazine, fairly quiet. Did I say beautiful? Hard hitting
Things I Would Have ChangedThe weight. Still working on accuracy but still testing pellets as it is a bit picky. I'll report after I complete testing but for now pretty good, not great.
What Others Should KnowAir Arms quality but harder hitting. Weight is my only compalaint.
It is a beautiful gun. Being a Hatsan it was probably less expensive than other companies with similar guns of similar features. I like having two magazines come with it which hold a lot of shots.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe weight, the trigger and the automatic safety.
What Others Should KnowRight out of the box that has the most horrible trigger I have ever pulled on any firearm or airgun. I've shot real rifles and pistols and never had a trigger this hard. I was sore after an hour. I would pull hard nothing what happened then almost as an afterthought it would fire. On the second outing I had read I had looked up the information again and adjusted the trigger. It was a little better and I was able to discover that I had been able zero the scope. It is horrible to have a lot of trouble trying to adjust the trigger every other airgun I have was a great trigger right out of the box. I do not like that the power is not a justable. That means it is only for hunting it is not for shooting in the backyard it penetrated my pellet trap or as no other gun being shot at less than full power has ever. That also means in spite of being shrouded it is loud. Because of its power I would not mind using it for hunting if and only if I could have just the trigger. But not the backyard.
The craftsmanship of this rifle is excellent! I had rifle sighted in on the 7th shot. I was then placing pellets in dime sized groups. Very nice rifle!
Things I Would Have ChangedMake gun lighter.
The craftsmanship on this rifle is awesome. I have a .25 cal. version and mounted a Hawke Vantage 4-16x44 scope. I had the gun zeroed in at 25 yards after 6 shots. I was placing shots in the bullseye consistently! I purchased an extra air cylinder and with (2) cylinders can fire 40+ pellets which is more than enough for a day of hunting. The Turkish walnut stock is very high quality and overall it is a beautiful air rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake the gun lighter.
What Others Should KnowAlthough this rifle is on the heavy side, it is a fantastic hunting rifle.
