Hatsan’s flagship PCP just underwent its newest makeover as a semi-automatic shooter that slings a new round as fast as you can pull the trigger, set into a revamped tactical stock. This Turkish based manufacturer is investing heavily in semi-auto air rifle tech with their previous efforts the Barrage and Bullmaster. The Galatian Tact Auto put this technology to work once again with stunning effect.
Holding 14, 12, and 10 shots across its three calibers, the Galatian Auto is built to sling lead fast and hard with maximum velocities of 1020, 950, and 870 fps respectively with 40-50 shots on a full 255cc cylinder. These high speeds equal powerful knockdown energy--as much as 20 FPE in .177, 29 in .22, and 33.5 in .25. These rounds travel down a fully-shrouded barrel, precision rifled and choked for accuracy. Each airgun includes 3 magazines per package, along with a hard case to keep your investment protected.
Hatsan began as a successful shotgun manufacturer, and this heritage is plainly visible in the styling of the Galatian Auto. With its removable rear stock and three separate accessory rails, this PCP has tactical shotgun written all over it. The Galatian highly-adjustable stock allows you modify the length of pull and cheekpiece to find your ideal cheek weld when sighting downrange. You can even remove the rear stock for a highly maneuverable setup that allows you to hold the Galatian like a pistol-grip shotgun, and the all-weather stock features prominent sling mounts for the included sling.
Moving in optics choices, the Galatian Auto is range ready right out of the box with removable fiber-optics sights with a strong red and green contrast. However, if you really want to take advantage of the Galatian’s long range, mount up a scope to the Weaver/Dovetail combination rail, get zeroed in, and start shooting!
Hatsan’s Galatian Tact Auto has crafted a tactical semi-auto PCP built into the vanguard of the Hatsan line. No matter if you’re hitting the range or the trail don’t be without the fast-firing Hatsan Galatian Tact Auto.
Hatsan Galatian Tact Auto, Semi-Auto PCP Air Rifle
*We do not recommend using Weaver mounts. Some Weaver/Picatinny mounts may not fit the Weaver sections on the rail.
Please Note: All Hatsan semi-automatic airguns are designed specifically for skirted pellets only. Slugs or other non-skirted rounds will not cycle properly.

Fun to shoot,accurate,fun to shoot!
Things I would have changed:loading the magazine can be a little tricky and you will need to loosen the screw a bit for easier loading and shooting
What others should know:Very nice rifle. probably my favorite gun to shoot and I own 8 pcp's. Also, I have to say that Pyramyd Air is a great place to do business! I have had a couple of issues and they have always resolved and quickly.

First, I love the look and feel of this airgun. Can't deny that it's a great looking gun and it feels very solid. The front and rear sights seem to be pretty decent and would be fine for any shooter with decent eyesight. I removed both and mounted a red dot that works better for me since this gun is intended to be a close-in shooter and not long distance. There are plenty of budget friendly guns that can do just that, though I'm sure you can get reasonable distance with a decent scope, which I might test in the future. For now, I am very satisfied with the accuracy at 15-25 yards using JSB Exact King 25,39 Gr and the FX airgun 34gr. This gun in semi-auto is what I love the most. It is a really fun gun to shoot and nowhere near as loud as I expected from this gun. Among the normal items that come with an airgun, this one comes with three decent magazines, a foregrip/bipod combo and a hard case. Overall, I really like this gun.
Things I would have changed:The location of the front sling swivel. I have found that it is in the way if you use the lower pic rail for anything other than a bipod. The foregrip/bipod that is supplied with this gun is too bulky to use comfortably and the swivel gets in the way of the push-button operation to release the bipod. A smaller foregrip actually worked great for me and it gave the gun a balanced feel but, I mounted a light instead. The swivel setup that is offered with the Hatsan Invader would work much better since it can be moved to any of the three rails as you see fit. The second thing is minor and it's that the rear sight is mostly plastic except for the cross screw and the right-side plate before the round nut. This round nut is plastic and was on very tight. It is slotted for a phillips or flat tip screwdriver but the plastic marred and I had to use some pliers to remove it. The plastic sights front and back detract from the look and feel of this gun. Iron sights would be better.
What others should know:The scope rail on this gun is a 11mm dovetail/weaver rail. It was a challenge to find a red dot sight that would mount on a weaver rail. Not sure why Hatsan did not just put a picatinny rail that would match up with the three rails in the front. A pic rail would have given me more options to choose from in a red dot since product descriptions on most just say picatinny and not weaver. Big picture, the cons on this airgun are minor and rectifiable. If you are looking for a fun semi-auto that looks good too and won't break the bank, this is it.
