8 of 8 RWS R 10 Match Plus .177 (4.5mm) Cal Reviews
Super accurate at 10 yards. Will shoot 1 hole groups all day off the bench with a decent gun. Excellent packaging. I have never found a bad pellet. I recommend these highly for 10 meter competition.
Things I Would Have ChangedI'm torn over the value for money. They are excellent and I'm sure a lot of effort goes in to quality control, but I sometimes have a hard time justifying the cost. Still, if you are going to shoot, you should know you're going to hit what you're aiming for and that makes it worth the extra cost.
What Others Should KnowIf money isn't a big factor, these are as good as I've found.
The box and trays are awesome, I don't shoot 10m competition so the pellets are way better then I need for 10m practicing, and yet they are not suited for my 25 meter BR game, but I do use the boxes to sort my weight sorted pellets and the tray is better than any other I have tried. Basically I spent a ton of money for trays that are better, but I got pellets with them.
Things I Would Have ChangedThey should offer this packaging without the need to purchase this pellet.
What Others Should KnowThese pellets are great at 0 meters, not so good at 50 feet.
The best pellet so far in my Umarex/Walther CP88. Great packaging, very consistent performance. You can slip one of these boxes into your pocket and they make NO noise when walking around. That doesn't matter that much when you first get them since you're nuts if you're hunting with a wadcutter, but once the box is empty you can refill them with your favorite field hunting pellet for an additional measure of stealth.
Things I Would Have ChangedMore for less money would always be nice, but otherwise there's not much to dislike here.
What Others Should KnowThese are pricey for sure, but in this case you sure do seem to get what you pay for!
Nothing beats these pellets if your gun likes 4.50 mm. No need to weigh them like other pellets for precision match shooting.
Things I Would Have ChangedI wish RWS would make them in 4.49, & 4.51mm.
A very consistent, well protected pellet.
Things I Would Have ChangedOther than a lower price, nothing. I still give it five stars for value because you get what you pay for. Still, these are too expensive for most people to shoot everyday. Save them for major competitions.
What Others Should KnowWhen talking quality, you generally get what you pay for. These pellets are essentially the same pellets you get in the can except that they are given a higher level of inspection for consistency and then placed in a foam container that separates and protects each pellet until you use it.
In our competitive junior air rifle club, we use Meisterkugeln and R-10 canned pellets for practice and regional competitions. At junior national competitions this past summer, we used sleeved pellets that were donated by a supporter and our kids all set personal high scores during the competitions.
How much was because of the higher quality of the pellets and how much because of the psychological effects from shooting with such a rare and expensive coomodity? Who knows. But in the context of the total cost of the trip, this was a small investment to help the kids do the best they could do from either the physical or mental perspective.
• A very consistent pellet. • Nice foam trays protect each pellet from damage. • Like the canned pellets, cuts a nice clean hole.
Things I Would Have Changed• Nothing.
What Others Should KnowThe R-10s sold in the can is the exact same pellet as in the box. The only difference is that the boxed pellets are inspected to a greater degree and boxed in a foam tray that keeps the pellets from touching each other in transit. This prevents them from getting little nicks and scratches that may or may not affect their performance.
If you are not shooting 10's already with your current match grade pellet, getting these will not make you a better shot.
It is far more important to test fire pellets from a given lot to see if they perform consistently in your particular rifle. I have seen benched groups fired from a rifle in vise that have varied in size while using all R-10 pellets but from different lots. If you find a pellet that your particular gun groups very well with, then order enough of that LOT to last you the whole season. These R-10s, like all R-10s, have the lot number stamped on the box and on each pellet holder.
Let me reiterate. Just because these are the some of the most expensive pellets out there, they may not be the most accurate in your rifle. One of my air rifles actually shoots better groups with the cheaper RWS Meisterkugeln pellets than the R-10 pellets. I don't know why this is, but it is a repeatable result.
Verry uniform pellets. The best match wad cutters I have run through my guns so far. They cut sharp clear lines and would be execellent for compition. The package protects them well.
Things I Would Have ChangedThey are a little pricey for this is why I would not shoot them every day.
What Others Should KnowGood pellet for accurate shooting and sharp clean well defined holes.

This ammo is incredibly boring. All it does is punch single holes in paper in the same place... Just kidding! It is very precisely made, fits just right in my target pistol breech (not tight, not loose) and if you are after a very accurate and repeatable pellet for 10m shooting, this is an excellent choice. The foam packaging keeps them pristine without skirt crush or damage. I have seen no reason to sort these by weight, all my spot-checks show them as exactly "8.2" on my scale. If you are looking for "boringly predictable" performance and accuracy with your target shooting, these are highly recommended!
Things I Would Have ChangedThe price is high, but admittedly -- you are getting what you pay for.
What Others Should KnowThe boxes and trays are very nice and are re-usable for sorting and storing your other pellets.
