Saris Traps Triple Track Inside Van Bike Rack, Bike Fork Rack 35", Black

This was just what I was looking for. I did have to mount it with 2 screws in my truck bed. Rack kept sliding. After I secured it, it’s perfect.

I use this rack in the back of my truck to transport bikes under my cap. I would prefer to avoid permanently mounting the rack but it would move around while driving a buddy of mine made an internal sliding bar that extends the full width of my truck bed. It has stabilized the rack significantly but it is custom length for my truck. I think it would be a cool idea to incorporate a ratcheting mechanism so the rack could be secured in various bed widths. In other words, mount a ratcheting load bar to the rack so it can be extended to various lengths and would work in a variety of vehicles.

The product itself is great, especially when using in the bed of a truck.

My wife and I are retired, in our 70s. We bought this rack in 2016 when we bought our 2 eBikes. Before we got the eBikes we tried roof racks and a hitch rack. We wanted a rack that would work INSIDE our Honda Odyssey van so the bikes would be secure, and partially obscured by the tinted glass. Now, 3 years later we have about 2,000 miles on our bikes and the Saris Traps Triple Track has worked perfectly. We've been on several long-distance trips, the furthest being Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. We don't have the rack mounted permanently to the floor... we just place it in the van when we are ready to load up the bikes and when we get home we unload the bikes and store the rack in the garage. So easy! We do remove the 2nd row passenger seat behind the driver and put a pillow between the bikes so they don't rub against each other. We also have the wheel mounts so the wheels don't get damaged. When loading the bikes into the van we back them in and it is possible for one person to do it but it's easier with two people. We have the 47-inch rack which fits nicely in the Honda Odyssey. Our next car may be a SUV and the Saris rack will probably work in that, too (we may have to remove the seats, depending on the height inside the SUV). Very highly recommended!

Once retired, I had a yearning to go on road trips to ride in new and scenic places. After 30 years of hoisting bicycles up to a roof rack on my sedan, it was time for a new car and a new approach to bicycle transport. I took my bicycle car shopping and wouldn't even go on a test drive if the bicycle didn't fit in the vehicle. (Note: SUVs with extended moon roofs give up several inches of height in the cargo area.) After I selected a mid-sized SUV, the next challenge was securing the bicycles inside. I live in a large, bicycle-savvy city, but the bicycle stores here were unaware of the Saris Traps Triple Track. I am fortunate to have a lot of friends who cycle and it was a friend who pointed the way to Saris. My friend first put fork mounts on a 2x6 but found that the 2x6 shifted around too much. He discovered the triple track online and has had several years experience with it. Based on his recommendation, I placed my order. I have now been on two road trips with the triple track and cannot rave about it enough. I show it off to everyone every chance I get. I am thrilled with how easy it is with just a crescent wrench to change the position of the fork mounts. We usually create a triangle with our bikes, forks apart and rear wheels together. When more luggage space is needed, we put the bikes close together in the center of the cargo space. I did not buy the wheel mounts. Instead we got Trans It wheel bags at Performance Bicycle. The bags make it easy to tuck the wheels in between the two bikes. The triple track is a brilliant idea and I hope it makes it's way west soon.

We have used the Traps Triple Track for close to ten years at the time writing this review, first used it in an Acura MDX and know in our Honda Odyssey. This is the best way to carry your bikes. No road or weather related grime on your bike and best of all when you walk away from your vehicle you lock the doors and your bike/wheels/cycling computers are safe and secure. Low load height makes it a snap for anyone to load/unload their bike.

We were able to load 6 bike on a 35" Triple Track by utilizing the 3 "tracks" and staggering the Traps. Carrying that many bikes Inside my SUV a long distance without having to worry about the bikes rubbing on each other or getting covering with bug guts is very cool

Was looking for a way to secure our bikes *inside* our Honda Odessey minivan. This system is sturdy, so I feel that I am not endangering either passengers or bikes with the sudden movements that happen from time to time while driving.
