SOG Flash AT - Blackout, Ambidextrous

I really like this knife. It is my first everyday carry knife in this format. The utility of the knife is excellent and all is good.

I have had this knife for about six months and love it. It opens with the flip of the thumb with very little effort. Great for edc.

Nice feel & finish. The push knob opening is very stiff hard to snap open.. may need some breaking in…

Just picked this knife up at Bass Pro today, great size, seems like a good durable blade that is sharp enough, seeing reviews about it being hard to open but that is not the case with mine.

I’ve had this and other SOG knives for some years now and yes they can be discouraging at first because they are tough to open. I have gotten used to using my thumb and forefinger to open them and that seems to work out fine. It would be nice if SOG did have a better cut out under the studs. Overall I do enjoy the SOG folders that I have.

This is a very nice knife. I really like it. However, you literally cannot open it with your thumb. It’s assisted opening, after you use your other hand to start opening it.

The knife didn't want to open easily when I received it. It took two hands to open. I had to open and close it quite a few times to break it in. The design could be improved by recession the handle with a thumb groove in the direction the blade opens. The blade opens and locks every time but it could use a stronger spring. If I had held it in my hand first instead of ordering it I wouldn't have bought it.

Got if for Christmas 2022 and was not disappointed, been my EDC since. Great action and edge, and by great edge I mean sharp as hell. Only thing is the blade release (crossbar lock I believe) rattles a bit. That is the only thing though

I had my knife for about a year and the action that kept it opened and closed has stopped working on the knife. I had not used the knife for anything outside of everyday use I wish that the quality of the action would have been better and lasted longer but the blade and the handle felt like they were sturdy and had expected a few years out of that knife but after minimal daily use it stoped working and would lock shut but not say open and was honestly disappointed with the quality of the knife after I had heard such good things about it

Bought as a gift for my brother, he wanted mine (Spec Elite Auto II) but I cannot find it anywhere. So I got him one that was somewhat close to the same operation and/or dimensions. He still loves and does not want to buy outside of SOG. Great job SOG team.
