I am using this device on a ,30 caliber break barrel, and I know the recoil impulse is impressive - but the scope stop so far is keeping it from moving, and helps my accuracy tremendously! Mike Holmes
Things I Would Have ChangedFor my use, don't really need the dovetail on top. Does't keep it from being useable, though.
This is a simple device that keeps my scope stationary when my rifle doesn't have a scope stop hole. And it works, even with the sharp recoil of a magnum springer.
Things I Would Have ChangedLeave off the dovetail feature from the top. It would have a lower profile and no loss in gripping power.

Things I Would Have ChangedMake it lower profile, do not need the dovetail portion on top.
The quality of this riser looks good, with washers on the screws and a stop pin even. I got it to lift a Williams Peep sight back into a more comfortable range, but it lifted it too high (~20mm). I'm sure I'll find another use for it, like a stop for something that doesn't have a pin.
Things I Would Have ChangedIf they made one only maybe 15mm high, I'd have use for it.
What Others Should KnowIt comes with a rolled sheet-steel stop pin, not threaded like some riser/stops, so you'll need either to tap it into a tight scope stop hole on your gun, or if the hole is too big, put a drop of something (I used nail polish), on it to keep it from falling out.

I'm going to be the odd reviewer here and say I _didn't_ like it.
Things I Would Have ChangedFirst off, if all it is is a stop, why is it so high? It just needs to be tall enough to brace the _base_ of a scope or sight. I would have used it with a peep sight that keeps creeping, but that I can't see over it. Second, if it is a stop, why not tap and provide a threaded pin? Third, why the dovetail-kinda top that does't seem to fit any dovetail fitting I have?
What Others Should KnowIt only stops by clamping the dovetail, if you want a pin you need to glue one in there. I think this was some kind of riser that didn't fit anything on top, so it has been repurposed as a "scope stop".
