It is very long, it does not fit on most 10 m rifles. They make shorter ones for that. This adapter is really nice if you made to move your school board. Very nice build quality. It has built-in stop hands and recoil box.

3-piece design enables you to center the rail laterally over the bore when securing it to a 11mm dovetail. It takes more attention to secure correctly but it enables much more precise placement of the rail. See below.

A lot of vendors imply that 3/8" and 11mm dovetails are identical. They're not. An expandable TWO PIECE adapter or scope ring or riser can be secured to both the narrow (3/8", 9mm) and wide (11mm) dovetails, but on an 11mm dovetail it will be located about 2mm off-center side-to-side. The THREE PIECE design used in this product allows you to split that 2mm difference, 1mm on one side of the rail and 1mm on the other, so the rail will be centered laterally over the bore when secured to an 11mm dovetail.

This is a slick little unit, needed away to pick up an additional 20 MIL to be able to zero my elevation on my scope @ 100Yrds. With this unit I got more than I needed and now have a zero elevation for 100 not using the scope to do it. Shooting a Texan .257 with a Discovery VT-T 6x24x50. With absolutely no issues.

Worst rail I've ever owned and I own a lot, over a dozen. They tried to be too clever in designing this and ended up making a recycling bin item. An expensive recycling bin item. I'm not a Christian or even religious at all but I know several people who are and there is a line in the bible, "Thinking themselves wise they shall become as fools." When I first when to install this that is the thought that came to mind.

Whoever thought a three piece rail was a good idea should be fired. Along with whatever management personnel approved the design. Same with the little foot that sticks down. Removed that with a Dremel tool. Now it actually fits where I want it. Unfortunately, it's still bad because of the extra, unnecessary, piece which makes it weak and more prone to loosening. I will never buy another Hawke product. My suggestion to prospective purchaser; Avoid like the plague.

Not much, used this to attach a UTG 3-12x44 to a Gamo Big Cat 1400, very similar problem to the hawk adapter reviews, the recoil of the gun causes the very poorly designed adapter to lift at the front with each shot.

I would advertise that this should not be used on magnum spring guns, also clearer pictures of product, i was under the impression this was not 3 pieces but 2, but it is in fact 2 separate jaws from the rail it self, with only one pin in the rear that acts like a hinge, it almost appears to be a drooper mount...

forget even trying this on a Magnum springer
