TenPoint TX 440 Crossbow Package

Fast, safe, accurate and compact crossbow that fits all my hunting situations from loc-ons to ladder stands and ground blinds. I love the crank brake system that allows me to stop anywhere in the draw/let down cycle without fear of getting hurt. The rest and containment system is better than any other out there. The railess system is very efficient and produces speed and power well over 400 fps with a 445 grn arrow. I’ve enjoyed this crossbow more than any other I’ve tried, and I’ve had Ravin and Excalibur in the past. It’s very accurate so you don’t want to shoot groups as you will ruin a few arrows.

I purchased this bow in November 2024. I was really excited, it was my first Tenpoint bow. I'd read many reviews on it before I purchased it. I was well aware of the issue owners were having with arrows flying high or far to the right. In each instance someone would say that it was because of improper arrow placement between the brush and two roller bearings on the front of the bow. I thought that if that's the case I'd have no problem. After the first 5 shots an arrow flew about a foot over the target at 20 yards. This was after the bow was already sighted in. I just thought it was because I didn't place the arrow in the bow correctly. After a few more shots another arrow flew about a foot to the right of the target. On the 15 shot another arrow flew about a foot to the right of the target again. I lost one arrow and destroyed two that day. I made sure the arrow was seated correctly before each shot. It turns out that there was definitely a problem with this bow. It went back to the shop it was purchased from.

Will start my review saying I own, the original stealth, RDX, Havoc 440 and I loved each one. I thought the TX 440 would be the next up in the long line of quality crossbows. Well, I am rather disappointed in how the 440 rattles and makes noise even from tilting it side to side. I got it home, and I have yet to even shoot it. I wish I would have noticed this at the shop bc i would not have purchased it. I participated in a tenpoint forum just to see if others have the same issue and it seems that everyone says “yep, mine does too and every 440 i pick up does the same”. I just have a tough time understanding how this would be acceptable to hunters afield.

Not bad but not as good as I was expecting for the money. Took a very long time to sight in with the Burris Scope. Needed to shoot over 50 bolts. In that process, had 2 completely wild shots that missed the target for no known reason. Trigger breaks too stiffly. Metal guard at end is about 1 to 2" too short and not adjustable so when hunting with lighted arrows, the slightest bump will turn the NOC on. Not sure the Burris scope handles inclination properly. Undershot a doe at 20 yards from an elevated stand with a solid rest. I will update this later if performance improves but for now I regret buying this. My older and much cheaper Tenpoint worked better. This is my 3rd crossbow in 12 years so I am not a novice.

Nice and compact. Very easy to sight in. The scope and it's rail mount is a good match for the weapon. I removed the quiver for easier carrying in the woods and mounting on my Bog tripod. Over all an excellent crossbow.

My first crossbow and I am very impressed. The de-cocking function was what pushed me towards TenPoint. Could not be happier with how flawlessly it shoots.

The bow is very accurate and held up to the abuse at this point but its not 5 stars when you use the bow for hunting and in the process of tracking your game, all your bolts fall out of the holder long with the foam holder isn't cheap and expensive loss. Take this warning to anyone walking with a sling.

Crossbow is quiet, accurate, and fast. Quality is great. They need to include the string and cable lube with the bow when you buy it. That’s just basic maintenance.

I loved my TX 440 until I had crank problems, and I took it back to where I bought it and YES Ten Point fixed it, but I missed some of my hunting season due to it. I have bought 7 different Ten Points in my life and this one is my favorite so far.

Love the smaller size. Shoots very quiet and accurate, even with fixed blade broadheads. My one and only issue that had me give it 4 stars is, it is very difficult to load in the dark. Pushing the bolt rearward from in front of the riser makes the nock end want to veer off track and not snap into place.
