Umarex Gauntlet 2 PCP Air Rifle Hunting Kit

The rifle is well put together a little bit heavy, very solid. Nice, nice price for entry level.

I am not able to get real tight grooves. Even at only 30 birds, all videos and reviews. Show the gun shooting small groups at 50 yd. Slugs will drop to the ground at 30 yd.

Shot very well until I double loaded it thinking it didn't seat the pellet, bolt is very rough. I ruined the barrel after 30 shots. My mistake but it was to easy to do.

Bolt feed, horrible. Ruined barrel after the rough bolt fees.

Spend a bit more cash. Shot very accurate until the barrel was ruined.

I researched these products for years. Finally finally made the purchand I'm very happy with the product. Very fun and very accurate. I still need to run many more weights of pellets through it to find out which is best for my gun.

Only thing I can think of that I would change would be the ability to adjust the hammer spring and the regulator Without disassembling the gun.

Out of the box, the bolt is stiff just like they say in the videos, I worked the bolt back and forth 50 to a 100 times before even trying to shoot it. Works out pretty well, the bolt isn't very stiff at all After the machine, burrs are worn off. Also I bought the hunter's package which comes with bipod, M lock,. A pick rail and a scope. Scope is probably not real expensive but works really well.

This is a great kit, I had them mount and zero the scope for me and it was dead on from the first shot. It is a little heavy but the bipod is great for a stable shot. I've had no issues with the trigger pull that others have mentioned.

The bolt is somewhat hard to pull back but it seems to be getting better with more rounds through the rifle. The safety is also a bit hard to engage at times.

I mounted the bipod and after setting the rifle down it broke off the air tank housing. I contacted Pyramyd and got an immediate response, they don't carry parts but referred me to Umarex. I contacted them and again got an immediate response along with a replacement part sent out that day. Great customer service from both businesses!

This is my 1st pcp. It's a little different from my break barrel Gamo Magnum Swarm .22. Both out the box I'm hitting targets over 120 yards. I'm standing free handing both of them most of the time. Had Pyramyd Air sight this .25 Gauntlet 2 scope in & it's awesome. 45-65 yards I barely miss. I like it in it's stock form. 2024 I'm buying the .30.

So far nothing. I'm 300lbs & a lawncare guy. So it's not heavy to me. I can't compare it to any other air rifle. I never shot anything more powerful than my Gamo Swarm Magnum .22 Gen 1

Get the 20-shot test so you don't have to send it back if you get a defective gun. Buy plenty of different pellets & slugs. I bought over 1500rds before I purchased the Gauntlet 2.25. Hand pump, air compressor. So when the time came all I had to do was pick the .25 I wanted. It wasn't cheap for shallow mind, but fun. All my buddies want to get one now

Very powerful set up. The scope isn’t bad for the package price. Out of the box, the trigger pull is horrible. It’s a single stage trigger with a LONG pull to engage the sear. There are great videos on improving the overall trigger set up with simple tools (metric Allen wrenches) and improving the pull and trigger weight were rather simple. It’s a heavy rifle, be warned. An added sling would have been a great bonus.

Once tuned (trigger), is was a great shooter. A better scope would make this a perfect package.

The barrel was shipped with some type of residue in the barrel. I recommend cleaning it with Ballistol before shooting.

Everything! I must have gotten a later version bc all the reviews worried me. Well my G2 30 is flawless!! Held air first fill. I read manual first and did everything it said before airing/shooting. I have the jsb 44s and I can't believe how it shoots them like a laser!! I have had break barrels all my life. this PCP is a GAME CHANGER!! I pegged a black bird from 75 yards away! The SMACK from the pellet dropped my jaw!!! Very accurate, very powerful!! Clean the barrel. Sight in but shoot it 50 times before really zeroing your scope.

Smoother bore for slugs. The charging handle is a little rough, but it starts to work it's self in. I'm happier than all heck with this air rifle!!!!!

If you are thinking about it and can get this hunting package and have interest in PCP this is it!! They only get better from here!! I LOVE THIS PCP Air Rifle!! I put a DonnyFX Mod on the end of barrel and it's now really really quiet!! You can tell sometthing was shooting but no where near the crackling sound it made!! Awesome Awesome buy!!! I want the 50 cal next!!!!!!!!!

Change to a different style side lever like on my FX,it can b hard to pull sometimes just wish it was more on the smoother side and effortless other than that it’s perfect

Accuracy amazed me. I got 141 shots with an 18 grain .22 pellet before it fell off.

Better trigger. Semi auto would be incredible.

I read a lot of reviews on the Gauntlet 2 by Umarex. The bolt action is a little difficult to pull. The trigger does have a long travel (which can be adjusted), But this gun is deadly accurate with the right ammo (Exact Jumbo Heavy 18 Grain .22 Caliber). I got bored plopping them in the same whole at 25 yards so I bought a scope and built a range. Dime size groups at 40 yards and rabbit head size groups at 75 yards. The Mantis scope that came with the Hunter Combo was descent but this gun deserves better. I put a Bushnell AR Optics illuminated scope on this thing. Sited for 50 yards and WOW! It shoots like a .22 long rifle with the mentioned ammo. Wind is a factor but just twice the fun. The bipod is real cool but mounts to plastic so its not awesome. Oh yeah, I wrapped this bad boy it camo.
