10 of 197 UTG 30mm SWAT 3-12x44 AO Reviews
This is a prwtty straight forward scope to use. The adjustments are locked down with an allen screw in the center of the dial. The clarity is pretty good. The overall quality is very good, especially for the price.
Things I Would Have ChangedCan't think of anything offhand.
What Others Should KnowJust make sure you lock it down well enough so it doesn't loosen up.
The overall quality is very good. Clear glass and picture, easy to use side AO adjustment, quality end caps, very usable lighted cross hairs when needed, strong rings, and good length all go together to make a scope that should have cost more money.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing I can think of off hand.
What Others Should KnowI shooting at 25 yards mostly, 35 yards max and the scope is fine for that, even when targeting 1/2" black Shoot-n-C dots. At 50 yards a 4-16 might be necessary for these 81 year old eyes.
I own 3 of these scopes and they're all very good. I would select UTG again.
Things I Would Have ChangedI can't think of anything to change.
What Others Should KnowUTG provides lifetime warranties and they stand behind their product.
Very clear picture, side focus, locking zero, flip-up lense covers, illuminated reticle and built-in sun shade for under $200? Comes with a great users manual and a range cheat card too. Absolutely great value and a quality product!
It's tough. The sight picture is clear and the mil-dot radicle is sharp. This is my first side focus scope and much more convenient than the bell focus especially with a heavy rifle. It was nice to have mounting rings included, all my other scopes are 1" tubes so having the 30 mm rings included saved me time and worry. I'm planning on changing from the included mid height to low profile rings.
Things I Would Have ChangedHaving both the built in sun shade and the flip-up lens cover makes the scope raider long. I have other UTG scopes with the colored radicle and don't use it; would have preferred the scope without it.
What Others Should KnowI bought this scope on the advice of the PA rep to mount on a Diana 340 N-tec that had broken four air rifle scopes. I've now shot over 450 rounds and it seems to be holding up. The Diana 340 does require a UTG droop compensating rail.
I do almost all my shooting at 25 yds. from a bench. I make my own targets, 1" circles with vertical/horizontal cross hairs, black on white.

Features of the scope
What Others Should KnowGot a lot of good reviews for the scope, so maybe I just got a bad one. Will not stay zeroed at all. Will sight the scope using a laser boresight. After three shots of the black ops break barrel sniper rifle, the shots are wayyy off. Will then shoot low & to the right. Sighted the scope & zeroed & after three shots the shots then go low & left of target. Very inconsistent. I bought the scope first waiting on the then backordered rifle. It was three months before I could mount the scope & discovered the flaw. The original scope that came with the rifle will have to do until I can purchase another brand.
Optics very clear, was leery of this purchase. It didn't cost enough I thought. Performance wise I'm very happy. Mounted on a PCP so does not have to deal with the action of a springer
Things I Would Have ChangedNot sure, was good as is. I bought the large diameter side focus wheel as well. Possibly offer them as a kit. An elliptical French curve focus would be nice. A marker that goes between the weaver ring caps?
What Others Should KnowYou still must spend some quality time behind your rifle to learn what projectiles do at known distance
Added to a Kral Puncher Breaker .25 cal and is a tack driver. Clarity is great, and like that it has mildots throughout the reticle which allows you to be able to get long distance shots accurately without having to guess
Things I Would Have ChangedAdd the AO wheel and offer a combo package with it, otherwise id change nothing.

Very easy to adjust, smooth turning, doesn't feel cheap. Clear picture, eyestrain isn't bad. Lots of light poured through, and the cross-hairs lit up beautifully. Enjoyed toying with this scope, tested it out to 120yds (far as I can before sandbank)
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing comes to mind, knobs felt sticky at first, but using them made that go away.
What Others Should KnowUsing mine on pcp, no clue how it would hold up on springer or np. Seems like a sturdy scope.
