Ataman is well-known for high quality, exceptional reliability and cutting-edge technologies. A combination of state-of-the-art production, superior materials, and the legendary expertise of Russian gunsmiths stand behind every Ataman rifle. Craftsmanship and excellence is evident in every aspect of this compact rifle from its shrouded Lothar Walther barrel and ergonomic walnut stock, to the adjustable trigger, and lightweight versatility.

The Ataman M2R Type 2 Bullpup Air Rifle features a stunning 4,350 psi (300 BAR) fill pressure, delivering more shooting time between fills. It has smaller dimensions and weight compared to other PCP rifles while maintaining the same accuracy. The bullpup design makes the gun perfect for those that travel or hunt in tight spaces, where a full-sized gun wouldn't maneuver as well. The gun includes an integrated Picatinny mounting rail and features a walnut stock.

The .22 caliber version offers 38 ft. lbs. of shooting energy with up to 45 shots per fill. In .25 caliber, the gun delivers 55 ft. lbs. of energy and 35 shots per fill, while in the .357 caliber version, the bullpup throws out pellets with 144 ft. lbs. of energy with up to 11 shots per fill.

The lockwork trigger mechanism is a two way adjustable, match-grade trigger, which allows the shooter complete freedom to set it up to their liking. The gun also sports a pressure regulator for ultimate shot-to-shot consistency. Whether you fill the aircraft grade aluminum cylinder to 4350 psi/300 BAR or to a lower pressure of your choice, the regulator ensures that the Ataman will make the best use of the available air supply.

Choose this rifle and be among the first in North America to experience the most powerful, reliable and high-quality airguns in the world.

Things I liked: Ataman...I love this gun, bought in .357 cal. I have a others, Benjamin Bulldog, AirForce airguns in various cals and none of them are less than great. I love them all. Its just that now i arrived at my "go-to" airguns and the Ataman MR2 bullpup is real, real good; punches through 2x4's easily, consistent shot accuracy and power. It feels real nice in shooting position. The walnut stock adds class to this gun.

Things I would have changed: The cocking mechanism is a bit to close to the shoulder but it is very smooth.

What others should know: I don't know if the MR2 can shoot slugs without a problem, i am betting it can and will comment on that in the future

Things I liked: Very accurate and reasonably quiet for the .25 caliber. The regulator keeps the foot/pounds of energy very consistent. I tested it at 200 bar or 3000psig on the scuba tank for over 20 shots with a five shot average and got dead on 60ft/pound with the 43.2gr.,.25 caliber Seneca hunting pellet. These pellets will not feed through the magazine because they are too long ,they will have to be single loaded. I took the gun off the scuba tank and shot it until the gauge on the gun drop to a 100 bar and velocity fell down to the high 684 to 652 an average of 44ft/lbs. off the regulator at about 1,450 psig. This gun is definitely a hunter for small game. I have not yet tested other pellets but I will see how well it does with light weight pellets. I will also test it at the top end of it's rated charge when I get a high pressure pump that charge to 4300 psig

Things I would have changed: An adjustable butt plate would be nice and a dust plug for the fill port.

What others should know: This gun with a short and tight action will be more comfortable for smaller built people than it will for big guys. Red dot sights are the way to go unless you want to do long range shooting with heavier ammo in which case a scope will be the ticket. The gun does have a slight recoil because of the short action

Things I liked: M2R 5.5mm New, it shot 14.3 Crossman H.P. at 1020 fps. Hundreds of shots later it was at 950 fps. The hammer spring adjuster was all the way out. + 1 turn = 1006 fps. +4 turns =1040 fps. That's as far as I turned it. I put it back to +1 and measured 875 fps with Kodiak 21.14 gr. and 936 fps with JSB JUMBO 18.31 gr. It doesn't seem to be pellet fussy. When I'm steady I can make tight groups at 27 Yards and clip off dandylion flowers at 30 yards. The trigger is smooth throughout and very light. I don't have a sound meter, but the report is mild and much quieter than an FX Wildcat. The thud in the pellet trap is impressive. The magazine is expensive but works especially well and will be easy to maintain. Without the magazine it is easy to single feed pellets from either side. Recently I've only been filling it to about 260 Bar, yet it measures little change in fps for 40+ shots. I guess it's a bit heavy to carry but when I raise it up to shoot and tug it into my shoulder it seems much lighter and inspires confidence. I'm fond of it.

  • michael from USA asked:

in .357 cal will the magazine accept .357 slugs or just pellets

    • Mark from USA:

Most slugs are too long to fit into airgun magazines. Some should fit. Those close to pellet weights should be short enough to fit. The larger slugs can be single loaded and shot.

  • Jay from USA asked:

Is the barrel choked in .22 cal and will it shoot .22 cal slugs accurately? Thank you, Jay

    • Mark from USA:

The barrel is chocked. We do not know how well slugs will shoot out of the Ataman. You will probably have to single load the slugs.

  • peng from USA asked:

if I want to change a new Barrel of .25 after some times ,how long shoule I buy? 18" or 24"

    • Mark from USA:

Changing calibers will not be easy. You would need replacement bolt probes. 18 " will fit.
