While this is the "S" model and has a Rekord trigger, the manufacturer does not stamp the gun with an "S."
Pyramyd Air tested both the .177- and .22-caliber airguns and found the velocities to be higher than what the manufacturer has stated. Below are some comparisons:
.177 caliber:
Manufacturer--820 fps
Our tests--Up to 849 fps with 7.0-grain RWS Hobby pellets
.22 caliber:

Everything sales said it would be. Powerful and accurate rifle is an excellent shooter. The craftsmanship is undeniable.
Things I would have changed:I don't believe it's really necessary for the safety to automatically engage when the gun is cocked.
What others should know:I handle it ok. The 24 pound cocking pressure doesn't sound like much but I can see where some may have a bit of a struggle after a bit of shooting.

This rifle is lightweight and shoulders very well. I was looking for a no frills, accurate .22 rifle, not very hold sensitive, for target shooting and plinking off-hand with iron sights. I got the rifle in perfect condition, everything being as described by most reviewers. At 30 yards and after adjusting the windage quickly I was able to hit the 3 in spinning target every time despite the dieseling and using the only pellets I had on hand (14.3 gr hollow point Crossman). BTW I'm an amateur plinker with no prior hunting or off hand shooting experience.
Things I would have changed:There is nothing that I would change, at least for the purpose I got the rifle. The rifle came with 2 loose screws ( the ones holding the trigger), which was a bit odd for a German made rifle, but I just tightened them with flat headed screwdriver and corrected that issue. The rifle makes a little noise when fired, so a neighbor may get curious if close by. From what I read tuning can reduce the noise, I may look to do that in the future if I feel the need.
What others should know:I bought this rifle to challenge myself and learn new skills. I like the build, accuracy, and classic look of the rifle. I got what most reviewers already outlined about the rifle so I am very happy with my purchase.

I have a Beeman break barrel I bought years ago with a Beeman scope. The rifle, using iron sights was dead on. The scope-junk. Every time I pumped the barrel, the sight was way off due to the barrel going from side to side. No way to tighten it. It would vary over ane inch side to side at the muzzle. Is this typical of most break barrel guns? I like the reviews on this rifle but do not want to get stuck with the same problem as the Beeman.
Most of the Beeman airguns were made by Weihrauch (HW), but not all. What you are describing is not typical of HW, as they are one of the highest level manufacturer. But without more info it is impossible to say who made this rifle or what model it is. Your thoughts on play in the barrel are correct. There is no way such wobble will result in decent accuracy.
Oh by the way Weihrauch is the manufacture of the Beeman guns. Beeman doesn't make any guns.
Are you referring to one of the china break barrels or one of the R-series from Germany?
Is this model the ambi stock?
Does it come with the delrin insert to protect itself from the galling issue that it is prone to?

High quality, great fit and finish, very accurate. Excellent trigger makes it easy to shoot tight groups. Great feel for quick offhand shots.
Things I would have changed:It would be nice to have it offered without sights for those who want to mount a scope.
