Description

Get lots of shots between fills. Gone are the days when PCP owners had to carry tanks to fill up after 10 shots. And also gone are the days when your only choice for a powerful precharged pneumatic was a single-shot!

Hatsan's AT44-10 Tact is a welcome addition to their AT44 line of rifles. If you're tired of having to conform to a rifle's configuration but don't want to buy a custom stock, then get the Tact model. The length of pull (LOP) is an important part of making an air rifle comfortable for longer shooting sessions. With the AT44-10 Tact, you've got 4 inches of play in the LOP. Speaking of adjustments, the Quattro trigger has two stages and is highly adjustable. Make it the type of trigger that works best for your shooting style.

While many other brands are skipping open sights to save a few bucks, Hatsan gives airgunners a choice: open sights plus an optics rail.

One of the handiest features of this rifle is the storage for extra clips. Load and stow two additional clips in the frame directly in front of the triggerguard. No more fumbling with pellet tins in the field.

You don't have to shoot the AT44-10 with the buttstock attached. Take it off and you'll have an air pistol version of a Buntline Special!

Read reviews about other Hatsan PCPs, and you'll see that they've gained a very good reputation among airgunners. You will not regret your purchase!
NOTE: If you want to scope this gun without having to remove the rear sight, use high mounts and a scope with an objective lens no larger than 32mm.

Bipod shown in images is optional (PY-A-5415) and not included in this combo.

short and medium range accuracy is acceptable, BUT buy a different air rifle don't waste your time or money on Hatsan!

Almost Everything! The Saftey lever is junk, stock in junk, adjustable cheek rest falls apart, hardware comes loose constantly. Don't bother with warranty, Hatsan is not an honorable company to do business with, they will not honor their warranty on obvious factory flaws and poorly made parts that could not possibly be considered "tampering" as they have tried to claim.

Beware, Very poorly made rifle, stock is not very functional, cheap materials and hardware that breaks, screws coming loose and falling out, the safety lever fell out in my hand with broken jagged metal like it was cobbled together with left over junk or super glued and they will not honor their warranty to repair this factory defect, leave them alone or you will suffer the same fate. I would be glad to share my correspondence with the factory to anyone who cares to read it and you will see the whole story and agree their response is laughable and arbitrary to the facts.

I think you've got a "Lemon" my friend, I've had mine now for well over 11/2 yrs now, and the only complaint I have is the magazine depth, as it only takes "stubbies", other than that it's a fantastic shooter, that's extremely accurate, and with the proper hardware mounted can, and will take down your intended quarry at distance, I have FX "No-Limit" fully adjustable rings sitting under a Carl Zeiss Conquest scope, and can easily get "Loonie"(our dollar coin) groupings at well over 150yd's using 18gr,. FX "Smooth-Twist" pellets, w/ my furthest kill coming in @ 175yd's w/ a head shot on a Groundhog, If my eyes were as good as they were when I was in my 20's, I wouldn't even bother using a scope, the "Iron Sights" on this weapon are that good, In fact on my .22 Hatsan AT-44 Pump Action, I've traded in the scope for a Ver good (UTG) R/G Dot, https://www.pyramydair.com/product/1x32-5mm-ita-combat-red-green-dot-sight-1-2-moa-38mm-tube-riser-quick?a=3520

Super comfortable gun to shoot. between the rubber inlays on the fore stock/pistol grip and the adjustability of the shoulder and cheek rest it's hard not to find how this rifle would not fit just about anyone. Great accuracy and power. Love the accessory rails and how the gun is weighted, even after adding laser and flashlight to front rails. I love the pistol grig (my other Hatsan rifles have the thumb hole stock) and although I doubt I will ever remove the shoulder piece and use this as a pistol it's nice to know the option is there. Do some research and you can easily find out how to get more power out of this gun, more than it already has.

Make the butt pad adjustable up and down like on the AT44 PA, include a single shot tray for longer pellets that won't work in the magazines.

The quattro trigger is not the best out there but is a very nice trigger. If I were Hatsan, I would ditch the bipod and use the available plastic to mold a shot tray to include with the rifle, instead if the bipod.
Three magazines are plenty for all day hunting, put on a good scope and go get some critters!

This air-gun is one Mean Machine, It's extremely accurate, and powerful, In fact its so similar performance wise to my AT44 .22 P.A., I'll just mention the differences that really matter, Like the fact it has Swivels, something very rare in the airgun world, and something other manufacturers should take note of, next are the weaver rails placed on the forestock, excellent for attaching laser/flashlight/bi-pod, etc.Optics placement hasn't changed from the Pump Action, You'll still need high mounts, and an objective that will fit over the overly extended magazine, and rear sights, I have an "M8 JGBG 3.5-10X40 I.R./Integrated Laser A.O" on mine and it fits perfectly w/out adding weight, or unbalancing the gun. As far as ammo, I found the 2 most accurate lead pellets for this shooter are H&N Field Target Trophies w/ a head size of 5.55mm, and FX SmoothTwist "Cylindrical" pellets @16gr,. I'm getting 2" groupings in excess of 60yds. I have found no benefit in using Alloy rounds, In fact Hatsan Does not recommend their use as they may damage the gun.

Magazine placement should be more Internal, and the rear sights moved forward, so they don't need to be removed for Full-size scope placement.

It's a nice touch, Hatsan including a bi-pod, and sling, But for the money we're paying they should be quality items, Like having padding on the sling, and a bi-pod that's metallic, and has weaver/swivel placement hardware. I highly recommend this a/g, and don't forget to get a spare air cylinder, magazines, and Good Ammo.

Andy Jan 17, 2015

I just wanted to mention that a lot of your recommendations for ammo would/will cause this weapon to JAM!,H&N Baracudas are a tad too long, and don't sit flush in the recessed area in the magazines rear.Regular Baracudas are too long, but Baracuda Hunters, and Hunter Extremes fit perfectly, and cycle incident free.Having this beautiful shooter, loaded with the wrong size(length) ammo could give you a real sour experience. PLEASE Revise your ammo selection to reflect this, Thank's P/A.

I just wanted to add that a BIG Plus to owning this fine Air-Weaponis that you're not counting your shots to make sure you don't run out of air(less you haul your pump with you), or not venturing far from your vehicle where your scuba tank/"Buddy Bottle" are usually located, That's why I hate hunting with my "Buddy" who owns an "M-Rod", Before he got it it was a pure 10 in his books,,,Now,,Not so much. All I need to do is toss a spare cylinder in my rucksack, and I have more han enough Air for a day in the field, and I can venture long distance w/out worrying about my air supply, Remember this little bit of info before you make that PCP purchase, Cheer's, and Good Huntin', Andy.

Side lever, mag holder and 3 mags, high velocity, adjustable stock and comb, decent 2 stage trigger, threaded barrel, open sights, dovetail/picatanny scope rail, easy load 10 shot mag, and ACCURATE

Needs adjustable butt pad, too heavy, stock is very big and factory gun needs a tune/blueprint to get everything to function smoothly. Trigger is adjustable, but for a novice quattro owner i am surely struggling to get a nice trigger pull from it. It is nothing like my BSA Superten or R-10.

The gun is heavy as mentioned above. Not for small people. I am not big, so it is cumbersome to carry. The accuracy was surprisingly good. In reality that is the most desired trait in a gun (obviously), and in my initial test, it scored an 8 out of 10!
28 yards with the gun resting on a bag of rice it grouped tight and within the diameter of dime.

Got mine in .25 cal. This rifle is a blast to shoot. Looks mean and feels great in your hands. Extremely accurate! Love the Tru-Glo sights. They were pretty much dead on right out of the box. The mgazine storage in front of the trigger makes reloading a breeze. Very pleased with my purchase so far.

Nothing about the rifle itself. Perfect the way it is.

I got the hand pump which works just fine. You may want to consider the scuba tank just to make things easier. The included bipod and sling leave something to be desired. Not a deal breaker by any means.

Joseph Jan 06, 2014

Just wanted to add that I've had the rifle stored for a few months now. I put it away with the cylinder pressure at 180 bar and it has not dropped off at all. Very pleased!!

Pretty much everything. Its accurate and bet of all fun.

Maybe shave a little weight. The fill probe is sketchy and counts on the top oring that wants to split regularly. It took 3 orings (supplied)to get one that did not split. It still leaked a little on filling but I added more divers grease and it stopped.

I like this gun too much for words. Its a little heavy but you get use to it. I have a 1 inch weaver riser with high scope rings to clear the fantastic open sights. I have a 3-9 bugbuster and 45 degree right side mounted red dot. I also have a front mounted laser. I sighted the scope, the set the laser to the middle of the crosshairs on the scope, the sighted the red dot on the laser dot. One sight in for 3 devices! Then the scope can be set for a much further distance and the laser set to as needed. I now have every distance I need to shoot from covered. This gun is just plain fun.

Good looking and accurate gun. Ergonomically great, slightly heavier than I thought, adjustable butt stock and cheek support. Sights are excellent straight from the box at 50 yards without scope. Fine balance and it came with all other stuffs like the sling, which is perfect in the desert walking/shooting and bi-pod(lol). Love the picatinny rails, lots of drop in options.

Fill probe really sucks. It will not stay in place, loose and it falls off. Air leaks during filling. "O" rings doesn't work. Tried teflon tape too, not working. It's been two weeks now since I last shot this gun. Very expensive paper weight for now. Really need to modify or redesign filling method.

A little bit pricey, heavier weight compared to other air guns. Extremely loud, almost like 0.22 rim fire. All these above I can live with, except for the fact that I cannot refill my air cylinder, because of the fill probe problem. Thanks to Pyramid airs fast action. They are very accommodating and is willing to look into it. Technical dept. gave me options. Will be waiting for replacement part. Again, it's really really loud and not a backyard friendly air gun at all. You will almost have to shoot it in the desert or firing ranges.

Andy Jul 03, 2014

Hey JoJo, I was wondering how you like your Evanix 3D "BullPup"?, and how it compares to your "tact"1022, For what it costs, does it match up to the Hatsan in Power, Accuracy, and most of all, what it's like in the field,,,shot count, and if you need to lug around a pump, or are you "tethered" to a Scuba Tank?, I have a friend who returned his M-Rod because he seen how difficult it actually was to go hunting with it,, I can go out into the field w/ just a spare cylinder(filled, of course), and not worry about if I have enough air since each cylinder gives me around 45-50 "full power" shots, and with the "target" cylinder well over 100 full-power shots(500fps), and its backyard friendly too. Thanks, Andy.

Jojo Apr 15, 2014

Oh yes. I finally did it. I've shot pesky crows at 55 yards. I used my range finder to be more sure of what I'm talking about. I've heard people talked about shooting this gun at 75 and even 100 yards. I will not dare, but 55 yards, I gave it a shot. Nice, nice, nice. Yes, JBS dome, but I need to switched to GAMO for the crow. I can't believe my eyes. Yes, I did it. Nine crows in 2 days.

Andy Feb 08, 2014

It took me a long time to get into pcp's as well, My last purchase before I got the pcp's was another(I have3)Cometa Fusion, For a springer It's built like the proverbial BSH, I had a performence tune done on it and it puts out 36 ft/lbs(LOL,more than my Hatsans), I still use it for Jackrabbit's, loaded w/ H&N Rabbit MagnumII's @ 25gr, and Skenco Metal-Tipped UltraMag's @ 18gr,. Oh, and BTW, Get yourself some H&N Rabbit Magnums, They cycle & Fit well(just take a nail file to the little "tit" on the top, or it'll jam)With these rounds, and your "tact", you'll be able to reach out and "touch" something with Authority, and don't hesitate making those didtance shot's,,,,This Gun Will Do It. Cheer's, Andy,

Jojo Jan 28, 2014

I really have not been shooting 100 yards. I don't know if I'll get a good kill at 100 yards. I'm still hesitant to shoot small pest at 50 yards. 25 yards at best, of course all head shoot (I kid you not). So you actually have extra cylinders and not just air tanks. I really love this gun more than the others. I have Evanix(rainstorm bullpup .22 and .357), AA .22, Talon P and SS. Several break barrels. This particular one is so rugged. It can take all kinds of blows unlike the AA wooden stock. Oh my, I have to baby that one for dings and scratches.

Andy Jan 21, 2014

JoJo, You're still going to need your probe, Thats what the adapter will "snap" into, and as far as I know Paintball is Paintball is,,,So, It should be the same anywhere.A good idea, If you only have one cylinder, Is to look for a paintball shop in the vicinity of your hunt. Sometimes, I find it easier to fill them up on the way to my location, There are quite a few options,,I've even brought a cylinder to my local Volunteer Fire Dept, They were more than happy to fill it, I'd rather not make it a habit though. I have 2 AT44's the P.A., and the "Tact1022", and 6 cylinders, 4 full power(970fps), and 2 sub-500fps just for target shooting(120 shots per cyl,.), So, I have way more than enough air on hand at any time to go shooting/hunting. I highly recommend getting yourself another cylinder, after a while, you'll never know how you got along with out it. BTW,,,How do you like your A/G?,,Unless I get into Big Bore, I think I've got about the best I can get. The Hatsans are the pinnacle of my collection.

Jojo Jan 20, 2014

Hi Andy, I might just do that. You sounded adamant about it. Just one question. Do you think they will have the same set up here in California. I'M assuming you're in Canada. I haven't really checked out or ask a paintball shop for it other than to refill my tanks. With this set up you're talking about, are you implying that I will not be needing the factory probe anymore to fill up my cylinder?

Andy Jan 19, 2014

JoJo,Just bring your cylinders to your local paintball shop, they'll outfit you with an adapter for your probe, and you can get it filled at any paintball shop for anywhere from $2.50-$5.00 per fill,They'll know exactly what adapter you'll need just by looking at the cylinder, It costs about 8-10 Buck's, But It's definitely worth it.Also, Pick yourself up a spare cylinder, when you go out in the field, No need to worry about having enough air for a day of Hunting, Also, FX SmoothTwist pellets @ 16gr,. are The Ultimate round for distance, accuracy, etc, a little pricey, but I'm getting a 10 shot grouping @ 100yds that can be covered by our "Loonie"(CDN Dollar Coin)!!, I kid you not!, They're a little pricey at $22.00 for 400, but worth every cent in my book, especially if you use your a/g's for hunting. Hope this helps Amigo. Cheer's, Andy, Also see my review for the AT44 P/A.

Jojo Jan 06, 2014

Hi Andrew, I'm interested to know more about that adaptor??? How does it actually works?? DId you modify anything in your gun?? Did you put a new filling mechanism like a nipple (foster fitting)?

Andy Dec 21, 2013

I forgot to mention that I also thought the problem was with the probe, and it's "O" rings, but after seeing it hooked up to the Paintball shops filling machine, there was no leaking of any air, and it took roughly 5 seconds or so to fill the cylinder. So don't worry about the "O" rings not doing their job. Cheer's, Andy.

Andy Dec 21, 2013

I ran into the same problem when I bought my Hatsan AT44/PA, I wasn't physically able to get the cylinder up to 200 Bar w/ the Hatsan High Pressure pump, So I paid a visit to my local Paintball shop, and after buying an adaptor, I could now bring ny cylinders to any Paintball shop and have it filled for $2.50 per fill. It sure beats busting a nut trying to pump it myself. Eventually, I'll most likely pick up a used Scuba tank, but until that day, I find this is the best way to go. Hope this helps. Cheer's, and Happy Huntin', Andy.

Jojo Sep 22, 2013

Tell me more about this foster fitting. I also have the Evanix Rainstorm with the same fitting and now it's beginning to give me problems when filling. How much and where do I send it. Phone number or email address is fine. Don't care much about gauge. Every time I check it, the muzzle is pointing at my face. Poor design I must say.

Wolfgang Sep 13, 2013

I have the Sam Yang 909-S that had the same fill probe problem. I sent the rifle in and had it replaced with a foster fitting. No more leaks and no more o-rings to worry about. Since your rifle has a pressure gauge mounted to the front of that fill probe, you'd no doubt lose that. No big deal though. The gauge on your scuba tank lets you know when the gun is full and by now you know how many shots you get out of one fill.

First impression is wow this is one solid feeling gun. Well made gun, heavy but feels comfortable and balanced. Stock, trigger grip and fore grip are unique to me. Found them well made, adjustable, ergonomically pleasing, loaded with accessories and fun to shoot with. This has scary power for the house or backyard. Mines a 22 and between 180 and 140 psi it was peak. I used a sled to sight a weaver 4 x 28 on high see through rings. Allows use of nice open sights and scope. once its dialed the groupings were less than inch at 25 yard in my basement. As power wanes it drops but apples to apples its accurate.

The air feed is a little problematic for me with a hand pump. The air probe doesn't screw in and counting on those two rubber rings to hold the air in seems sketchy.

Serious weapon, not for kids. Very accurate and very loud. Not really a shoot in the neighborhood gun. Its very loud and that will dray attention. Push the pellets all the way in the revolving clips. Twilight Zone moment but I used same exact pellets as the other poster. It shot better, looked cooler, is more comfortable and better made than I expected.

Andy Jan 01, 2014

Just bring your cylinders to your local paintball shop, they'll outfit you with an adapter for your probe, and you can get it filled at any paintball shop for anywhere from $2.50-$5.00 per fill, aside from this solution, it's either splurge for a scuba tank set-up, or bust a nut with the pump.

robert Aug 21, 2013

Mine came with the bottom oring missing. 2 of the included brown ones broke. PA sent some replacements out to me and they worked great. I have no issue at all filling this gun.

Paul Jul 04, 2013

agree. cant get it over 150 with current set up. not deal breaker but severely reduces # of reliable shots. please inform me if a better solution is offered.

Jojo Jun 19, 2013

Fill probe really sucks. It will not stay in place and lots of air just goes to waste. It never seats in well. "O" rings are useless. I tried teflon tape, useless too.

SOLID!!! this gun is not to be taken lightly its a power house tac driven bunny flipn squirrel hitn, boom canon. itys bark is loud and proud! really it barks at 120db once i got this thing tuned found right pellets air stripper on and fill pressure ranges for best shots this thing is next to unreal worth the money all the way.....

the removable stock is great for storing an all but i would like it better if it would be a better fit to the gun becuase of how its a spring loaded pin and just a socket and joint it wobbles just a little, it can be fixed yes, lil duct tape on tip and snug fit it gets rid of the wobble nothing to really knock this one off as bad gun no just with it being hatsan i would have expected better,

the seals on the probe for this gun is not good in heat what so ever. keep inside at room temp and it will last longer. the pellets i found that worked amazingly were jsb's exact dome 18gr and 2nd place is the crosman premiers dome 14.3gr, now thats my gun just to give you a starting point for those magic bullets but i pellet sort head size diameter mine do best with 5.51mm agian yours will be diff, and for scope rings yes theres the ability for both weaver and dove tail i recomend the dove tail it feels like it has a better hold on the gun... to me that is it could have just been my scope rings never really looked that far into it,... over all amazing gun great job hatsan on this tactical version its beautiful way to improve for shooter adaptability, (i will have photos soon)

Andy Jan 03, 2014

If you're looking for that "Magic" pellet that can do no wrong, and places itself exactly where you're aiming, Then may I suggest "FX SmoothTwist" pellet's, @ 16gr,. they're the perfect weight, and due to their cylindrical shape have an excellent B/C, which translates into less "hang-time" due to their Flatter Trajectory. Mind You, These round's are a little pricey, and aside from using a few to zero in your optic's, These are Primarily a Hunting round, It's almost a 100% guarantee that if I can get it my Hatsan AT44 P/A's sights, It's going home in the game bag. Cheer's, and Hope this help's, Andy.
